- As Pride month begins June 1, some Target stores and other retailers won’t be displaying LGBTQ+ merchandise. Pink Media President Matt Skallerud tells “On Balance” that Target and Bud Light experienced a “double boycott” last year: Opponents stayed away to protest the firms’ pro-gay rights stands, then the LGBTQ+ community boycotted them for dialing back their Pride displays.

The LGBT books in schools that are meant for adults, teachers bringing up LGBT related topics un classes that aren't slightly relevant to certain classes(in which they literally record themselves admitting to it on TikTok), etc.

@@KillaG3590Exactly. The backlash was from them promoting this to children. I also hate that they have co-opted the rainbow as theirs. I have found myself not buying something that’s really cute just because it has a rainbow on it. Why do they get the rainbow?
@@jillfeatherman5523 the collection wasn’t promoted to kids I had to deal with grown ass adults triggered over clothing. If you don’t like it don’t buy it but to send death threats to me and other employees was stupid.

When people hear about a certain topic continually they will eventually rebel against it. I do believe that this entire movement has set the gay community back. Now it’s ok to roll your eyes the moment someone says gay rights as opposed to before when it was a serious issue.

LGBTQ+ issues should not be political. With that said, if you're also relying on other companies' profits to make or break you as an entity, that's an issue as well. I for one don't give a shit about who you want to be with. Love is love. As long as you're not trying to convert me, I'm ok. And no gay person has ever tried to convert me or make me feel uncomfortable.
Of course it's political when rights are being discussed.

Companies supporting the lgbt community has nothing to do with politics. Politicians co-opted the issue. It has to do with targeting and supporting segments of the population that spend money. That’s called marketing.
It’s the same reason that they put out patriotic ads and merchandise every May, July, and November.

Adults can do whatever they want. But children should not have body parts chopped off. And it should be up to stores if they carry pride items. If they do not think it is a good fit for their store, then they shouldn't be forced to. If there was Christian pride month, everyone would lose their s$#t if it was put in stores.

As someone who was raised in a Christian home, I thank God every day that I stopped listening after deadly sin #1. The list of bad advice spewed out by my religion is endless. I'll take pride any day over hatred, intolerance, and ignorance.

Local small town Walmart Marketplace had a rainbow (had the actual 7 colors of a real rainbow, not the 6 Pride flag colors) beack towel. That was it. I was so disappointed because I've found all kinds of Pride goodies in the 2 cities I've shopped at Walmart. I happen to LOVE those bright colors so I'll buy rainbow stuff regardless. Joann usually has Pride merch, too. Not too $$$ if on sale.

No one forces these things on children. Why would you think that ? You don't have to buy these items, do you? no one forces you to do this. But if everyone MAY have the same rights, then these articles should also be available to young and old. If not, LGBTI people are third-class citizens who are treated like slaves.

I'm simply responding to a thing the guy said in the video - "Why does it have to be a political issue?". I said it's political because they're making it political... which is true. I never said it was the only example.
If you feel that religion has been a political issue... and you're right to think that.... and you don't like the effect it's having, wouldn't you push back against it? It's the same thing for people like myself who find the LGBT agenda radical and dangerous.
As for what's right or wrong, good or bad, positive or negative, that all depends on where you happen to fall on a particular issue; on your perspective.
There are lots of people who push a religious agenda because they come from a group that was oppressed at some point in the past. Others do it because they are determined to never let that happen in the future.
Either way, some will see it as righteous and good, others will see it differently.

I fight with the EXTREME FAR LEFT of Trans and gender ideologists that have now tainted the past work of the previous decades. So, I'd agree that BOTH or even more issues can be all true at the same time. Trans and gender ideology activism have gone too far just as much as the political power from religion, especially xtianity, is still just as much an issue. Neither side is good to society as a whole at the current moment.

the political behaviour i would like to see is 1 Union Rights 2 providing community NPO assistance to the communities they are in. 3 Not polluting local community air and water. and etc etc etc and trans rights come somewhere right down that etc list..
