mine did one. for some reason he went on about how all kids kick there parents seat from the back then something about an accident and how it was not my fault and i need to let him go.
You two are a wonderful force! Every success to your development studio, and Scarlet Hollow and Slay the Princess are so engaging and thoughtfully composed! 👸🦌
Best update ever. Can't wait to see where each of the 10 paths lead now. Guessing maybe 3 endings per each one maybe? Included the "happily ever after" ending that's like 31 endings. Wish you luck there. Will subscribe to keep updated to this. Wonder which version of the princess will be the fan favorite at the end? My votes on the Witch. Just the right amount of smug in her official portrait.
Had to miss the stream because I needed to work, but it's nice to listen to this in the background while I do chores. Edit. 58:10 yes actually it's very interesting. I had actually paused so I could look and zoom in at the window.
The only way anyone could even figure out that _Scarlet Hollow_ is a horror game from you playing it on a plane is if they were the guy from the opening who won't leave you alone.
Hello. 😊 Just wanted to leave a comment to summon the algorithm, hopefully. Glad to hear you again though. Been very curious as to what you have been up to of late. Unfortunately I can't watch the full stream/video just yet. Will have to piece meal. Catch you later. ❤
I don't think that would work? The entire premise of STP is that _you,_ the player, control how the game goes. Every single path is a reflection of how you percieve things. For example, the knife. If you take it, thinking you may need it, it reflects that. It morphs into a situation where you might feel threatened into needing to use it. If you don't, thinking you can always come back for it, it becomes a perfectly calm scenario where you feel safe. It's very clear as you progress the game that the Princess is not in control. She and the world are shaped by your perception. What I'm getting at here is that playing from her perspective would basically just be a visual novel. You *_could_* make an actual sequel about what happened after whichever ending is "canon", or even a prequel explaining how they got locked away to begin with though.
@@ventusargentum9957But you could be the Princess & your response to the other having a knife or not change how they respond. Choosing how kind or wicked that starting "Hello" is determines alot. Then having the rescuer respond to your tone could change whether they try to slay you or not. Could open up new dialogue trees etc. This is already basically a visual novel so expanding the dialogue doesn't seem bad to me considering the writing quality here. Of course I agree a sequel or a prequel has lots of potential
@@zeldaaddicted6686 I don't think you're understanding the point of the game. The Princess doesn't have a choice. It's designed that way. She is deliberately molded by your decisions. You are not reacting to her, she is reacting to you. She becomes hostile when you pick the knife up because _you_ expect her to be, not because she sees that you have a knife. If that were the case, she wouldn't be hostile before you even descend the stairs. That's the premise of the game. Your belief shapes how this universe plays out. The princess and everyone else are merely along for the ride.
I can imagine some really funny scenarios from flipping the perspective. Just imagine the amount of times the princess is just awkwardly sitting there while the LQ is talking to the voices in his head XD
What I'm really curious about is if narrator is a communist, considering his remarks about princesses being bad and questioning protagonist if the latter is a monarchist🤔🤔🤔
Well, the Narrator is a human or at least was a human whereas the princess and the main character are some sort of gods . So technically the narrator is closer to people then anyone else in the game .And the narrator doesnt like monarchs.I think that sets him closer to the left
@@iliongg2971Just beacuse the Narrator seems to dislike monarchy doesn't mean he is a communist or from the left. The only thing he wants it's to destroy the threat of the World beacuse it's the threat of the World, not beacuse she's a princess.
@@iliongg2971Personally, I'm from the right (a lot of people would qualify me as "far-right" nowdays though) and I still don't like monarchy for one special reason: they're useless. Usually the members of the monarchy serve the same purpose as decorations hanging on a wall (with the difference of being extremely more expensive, a price that society pays). I don't have any particular hate at them at all though I have to admit that the princess being an actual princess makes her more attractive in my eyes.

This all but confirms that Reese is some's animus.
It's like watching my father come back with the milk

The sheer amount of effort described for Scarlet Hollow is selling me on the game.
Abbey literally draws the way I've always wanted to draw.
Awww the fact that manly dms them while he plays is so !!! I love that

I discovered this game yesterday and I LOVE IT SO MUCH ALREADY

Maybe I just have niche tastes, but this is one of the few games I've ever been in honest anticipation of. Good work, Black Tabby.
Heya! this game is absolutely amazing. Love the game you're making. Can't wait to see more :)

Am I crazy for wanting a ”sequel” which is playing from the Princess perspective & tackling the protagonists different approaches?

How much will the full game cost, I’m buying it regardless just wondering?

I really hope there's a "Workers rise up! We have nothing to lose but our chains!" ending.
I think more than anything he's a "gotta slay the gosh-darn princess because I said so"-ist.
