    That is a good point about the hand in the pocket. We need our hands on the bike. If they get all beatup and ripped open that is very problematic. As far as boots, I use the riding sneaker most of the time. I'm 110% Helmet Gloves. Not sold on touch gloses. The figertips are always to bulky , I can wait to see how they work out for ya. Great video. I Glove you man!

    Since I added the 5 heat setting Kemimoto grip covers to my Spyder, I am now able to wear my favorite pair of gloves no matter what the weather...they aren't waterprooof and they are my summer gloves but they fit and they have the knuckle protection and they are leather...I used to wear heated glove liners but there is not protection in them. Yes, the bulkiness of those heated ones....

    With me it varies i will jump on the bike with some regular running shoes on and even sometimes without gloves but i tend to wear boots and gloves more than I don't if that makes sense. But a helmet is a must here. Gloves looked cool and I very interesting on why they put the clutch and throttle on there.

    • @Ucmpigs
      @Ucmpigs  8 месяцев назад +1

      I’ll admit I do the same. Every time I do it I think to my self “this is the day”….I’ve ridden without a helmet and probably will again.

  • @joshdavis5982

    How much do you think these gloves would actually protect you in a crash? I’m looking into these but I’m a little nervous that I would be sacrificing all protection.

    • @Ucmpigs
      @Ucmpigs  10 дней назад

      @@joshdavis5982 a high speed crash... probably not much but better than nothing. I wear gloves for low speed. The probably of dropping the bike is higher than wearing bulky gloves for a high speed...but that's just my rational.

    • @joshdavis5982
      @joshdavis5982 10 дней назад

      @Ucmpigs I gotchu. I’m typically someone who likes to have a little protection but the stars and lightning bolts color option they have is so cool I might have to sacrifice safety haha.

    how is the palm protection on the thrashin covert gloves? i was gonna buy them but they look like they would shred apart on asphalt

    • @Ucmpigs
      @Ucmpigs  7 месяцев назад

      It’s basic leather type fabric. No sliders. Pretty much same thickness of most riding gloves. Probably would on a long palm down slide. Pretty much need no shit leather or Kevlar or serious sliders for that.

    Not riding in shorts is rule #1 for me. I see people doing it, and it makes question their sanity. 2. Wearing a skid lid. All that will do for you is give them a container to put your things in AFTER they scrape you up off the pavement.

    • @Ucmpigs

      I wore brain buckets for years. I still have one and will wear it on occasion but rarely. But I agree…it’s just to be within the law…zero protection.

    Most of Harley Davidson Riding equipment is all about Fashion. Boots should be made and designed for protection. Leather work boots do NOT qualify as real Foot and Ankle protection.
