To me as a S'pore Chinese , Western endless preaching of democracy , human rights & freedom of speech has become a very repulsive word , yes , nauseating. Yes , like my middle finger. Its all about me , me , me , i , i , i. Western values have brought about selfishness of individuals , attention seeking egomaniacs , self serving monsters , disrespect for authority & elders & yes , blatant arrogance. All these in turn will lead to bad judgemental attitude & self righteousness. That's why the west is always quick to criticise , quick to condemn , quick to judge , quick to stereotype non-western countries & their people. Also , western senseless freedom of speech allows them to slander , lie & poison without any consequences. The west can call China any derogative & offensive names they want , but i see a Chinese government that's truly working for the people & improving their lives. And yes , alleviating 800+ million people from adject poverty. Remember , the Chinese are a peace loving race. Remember , the Chinese have never exported war , poverty or her values to other nations. The Chinese government just want to serve her people & improve their lives , & rejuvenate the Chinese nation. I sincerely wish more & more Westerners would stand up for the truth. Since the start of the New Village and Beautiful Countryside movement some years ago, there has been drastic changes of the appearance of rural villages in China. I've seen a lot of unbelievably beautiful villages all over China. Clean, modern, and with architecture that reflects local cultures. Xi did put a lot of efforts to renovate rural China. He started his career in a rural village in one of the most impoverished provinces. I guess that explains his policy focus.

China’s policy has always been: Let some people get rich first, and then these rich people will lead the poor to get rich.China has gone through the Opium War and has become very poor.Many foreign powers also invaded China.Although there are places in China that are not so wealthy now.Chinese cities have developed a lot in recent years, and now the country has begun to develop rural areas, making many rural areas cleaner and people’s lives more convenient.Development takes time. Trickle down economic has not worked in the west and won’t work in China. China’s policy is a mixed of capitalism, socialism , individualism in a rules based society. You can’t expect the rich to help lead the poor to get rich. It hasn’t happened in the west. It is not likely to happen in China. The west sustain their wealth to keep its local population contempt and distracted enough by exporting poverty. This is why the rich nations so despair in control of world economy. US debt becomes world debt. US can print money to support their deficit and trade that other countries can’t.

In China, becoming rich together does not mean donate money to the poor, on the other hand, the rich people will be just like an example to show how to be rich legally.

Of course, not every village is as rich as this one shown in the video, but the rest of the world can not deny that China government has done a great job so far.
I'm happy to see people are doing better in the countryside too, not just in places like Shanghai, Beijing or Shenzhen. I hope they won't be left abandoned after a few years and that the next generation of people will make use of them. I'm a Chinese from Zhejiang province.Zhejiang province is one of the richest province in China.The local government will sent more than ten thousands people to Qinghai province (one of the poorest province) to help them every year.Include teachers and doctors.Give a lot of money to improve the infrastructure there.

You said “let’s go see what other foreigners think about Chinese village” ( something along the line) then it jumps to another foreign Chinese RUclipsr I assume you want the narrative to be unbiased or convincing. It’s probably better to be upfront that this person being interviewed isn’t some random pedestrian that you just ran into, instead, he’s another RUclipsr doing content about China( which I love). 💙💙
the gorvernment has done a lot to improve life standards in rural parts of china. there is still a long way to go to sustain the trend and secure the acheivenmtns.

Villages in ZheJiang are quite different. Even in the past, i mean maybe several hundreds years ago, ZheJiang, or let us say JiangNan region are very rich. I am also from one of those village. 20 kilometers away from WestLake. But China is so big, There are still many poor villages in rural areas in the northwest of China. By the way, one of the woman said you are very beautiful in dialect. She said: 你相貌很好的！That is a dialect saying of you are beautiful.
It's not relevant to talk about per capital income in China, particularly rural areas, their per capital income may be low by western standards but their houses, the infrastructures, Medicare, education, the quality of life, etc, etc are much like rich people even in the West!

这几年新农村建设搞得有声有色，农村干净了很多，这是最明显变化。
应该政府下任务了，现在农村到处都在处理环境问题，村里的路边草啊路啊村民的生活垃圾问题啊，都有专门的人处理了这是最近几年才开始的，还有小河流的治理，没有污染但是也把河岸啊河提的杂草都给弄干净了。有人说是形象工程，其实就是环境改善。
应该是个别地方 中国还有很长的路要走

Chinese government has one rule ,don't get caught up in politics like the west and rock the boat
作为一个西部地区农村长大的，表示我们国家近三十年进步真的是太大了。虽然我们老家的农村水平还远没有达到像浙江农村这样的水平。但是各方面都比以前好太多。基本上每个村都通了柏油路，家家户户都是两三层楼的房子，院子里面都有自己的小汽车。村子里面还有一些体育健身设施，有集中回收垃圾的地方，有医务室，等等等等。这些在我小时候是完全不敢想的。那个时候唯一的想法就是好好读书走出农村😂

I don't think China trusts the "trickle down" of wealth and rightly so. It doesn't work.
Zhejiang is one of the wealthiest provinces in China, and Hangzhou is also a wealthy city.

中国的政策一直是：让一部分人先富起来，然后这些富人会带领穷人致富。中国经历了鸦片战争，变得非常贫穷。许多外国列强也入侵了中国。虽然有地方在中国，现在还不是那么富裕。中国的城市这几年发展了很多，现在国家开始发展农村，让很多农村变得更干净，人们的生活更方便。发展需要时间。中国人口太多，发达国家也没有那么完美，在这么短的时间内变成这样，对人类来说已经是一个奇迹。浙江太富，农村发展更好是肯定的，这玩意没办法，肯定会越来越好的。

我老家也是农村，不是柏油路，是混凝土路，很结实，通了天然气，做饭不用大锅了，冬天也是燃气采暖，家家院子里都有自己的卫生间，都是坐便那种，电热水器可以随时洗澡，自来水感觉打有狗那年就有了，大院子，下完雨的空气很舒服。只是不像浙江，我们不让盖二三层，要是让盖，早就都是别墅了。

虽然这么说现在听起来还有点夸张，但.中国的目标是把全国的村子都建设成江浙农村的样子，干净 漂亮 富足 可持续发展 希望有一天真的可以实现！ 如果我记得顺序没错的话 这项农村发展计划已经持续了近20年了 虽然名字不同 但做的事情是持续的 一开始叫移民村 异地搬迁、 后来叫村村通 、再后来叫新农村 、现在叫美丽乡村建设 从最初的为了改善生存环境 解决温饱 逐渐到现在的改善生活环境 注重经济收入和环保规划 丰富精神文化生活。 改变很大了 希望继续努力发展 任重道远呢。

@@tommym4539 是該顧一下其他地方了，沿海城市已經很強了，財政應該適當轉向內地。促進企業轉型，產業升級，一些落後產業轉向內地，促進當地就業。
2016我们村的新农村建设就建设好了，住进去有几年了，和这个房子差不多，但是颜色和格局全是一样的，在湖南岳阳县我们村是第一批，近些年我们村附近已经开始好多批新农村建设了，我们村一共建了80多栋，国家补贴，图纸也是国家出，一条龙照着做就行了。
我们新农村全是统一的天然气管道，单栋三层楼。
我们成都这边也是新农村，但我家是交了钱的。一个人交一万，我们家五口人交了五万块，最后给我们分了一栋三层楼高的小别墅。
浙江是第一个实现全面小康的省份
再过50年我们大江苏也会赶上浙江。
我老家安徽农村，回去探亲迷路了😂跟的士司机说到村小学门口，下车时入目两边都是小别墅；我觉得自己跑错地图了；记忆中还是坑坑洼洼的路，房子是乱七八糟的不规则高低房；

浙江农村修这么好实在不奇怪，我现在出差鄂西与重庆交界的山区，上周我第一次深入大山深处，竟然看到的也是一栋栋小洋楼，当然没有视频中这么漂亮，在我印象中山区不都是破败的土房子，家徒四壁那种的家庭吗？但是我真的没看到一栋我以为的贫困山区房子，看来大家都过的不错

Villages in ZheJiang are quite different. Even in the past, i mean maybe several hundreds years ago, ZheJiang, or let us say JiangNan region are very rich. I am also from one of those village. 20 kilometers away from WestLake. But China is so big, There are still many poor villages in rural areas in the northwest of China. By the way, one of the woman said you are very beautiful in dialect. She said: 你相貌很好的！That is a dialect saying of you are beautiful.

现在西部地区农村建设也起来了我自己经常旅游各地农村去了多了，江浙农村确实不一样但是也只是近十年内在品味上有了很大提升。但是也没有这个外国人说那么夸张我有亲戚在欧洲不是富人住的房子肯定比浙江这里好，不是房子本身多好而是环境与装修品味花园格调，以及普通农民的基本素养还是和发达国家又差距

前几年我去千岛湖，杭州附近的一个小城市去探亲，也是被城市发展惊呆，很漂亮的小城市，到处都干净漂亮，路上车辆也都礼让行人，这一点比北京好的多哈哈哈。中国的未来会更好，因为这是勤劳善良的中国人共同的努力
我在安徽合肥，我老家农村现在也开始建设了，现在农村的马路全部通上路灯，因为城里房子很贵，大家都在农村盖别墅，买个车上下班非常方便，毕竟农村现在修的马路又宽又坦，很舒服

It's not relevant to talk about per capital income in China, particularly rural areas, their per capital income may be low by western standards but their houses, the infrastructures, Medicare, education, the quality of life, etc, etc are much like rich people even in the West!
That's what so hard to swallow for those western China haters. There are a lot of envy and jealousy in their criticism of China, focussing on issues and values that most Chinese have little concern for.

There is a lot that is right and beautiful about China but just like every country, not everything. Even so some are blind to such, even when it is right in front of them. And some will defend regardless of the validity of the justifications.
