When you hit 90 days urges don’t go away you will all ways get urges it’s only if you don’t find it pleasurable ppl who quit smoking find it disgusting to smoke that when you actually quit an urge comes from the mind also the body creates the urge but you create the urge with battling it in you mind when you look at porn with disgust and not pleasureable that’s when you officially quit hitting 90 days is a big goal but it doesn’t mean your fixed you can still get urges it’s bull shit when you fully believe that porn doesn’t serve and it doesn’t actually make you happy that’s when you really quit it cuz your mind doesn’t think twice it just doesn’t get urges because you don’t find it pleasurable hitting 90 won’t do anything bro
I am done with this struggle. I have been enslaved to this sin for far too long! I have already been freed by the blood of Jesus Christ, but I still come back and fall victim to this sin. I ask that whoever reads this, to please pray for me as I embark on the journey of purity.

A tip related to number 6. I use the 5 second rule. Every time I think about doing something that's not good in the Lord's eyes. I have 5 SECONDS to find something else to do. (Pray, read the bible, study a new language, watch a movie with my family etc)

Man, I try my hardest not to watch it bro, I pray, I deleted Instagram I’m about to delete Snapchat because the triggers are getting sensitive. I gotta go harder man I got to, I’m sick and tired of this shit taking away from my life. Numerous times I found myself free from watching it for months on end but I keep relapsing. I keep going cause what’s the point in not trying? Sure I’ve had numerous attempts and numerous relapses but what if I can make this time the last relapse ever. I’m done messing around, I ain’t putting half effort into this ANY LONGER. Every urge I get to pray I’ll pray, every urge I get to listen and read the Bible I’ll listen and read it, every urge I get to fall into temptation I WILL NOT. LORD PLEASE HELP MY RESOLVE!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

All are great steps. General principles that work to help for all addictions. Really important is the daily Bible reading and prayer AND knowing your triggers. Once you've identified them then schedule yourself to be elsewhere and/or insert something else into your life. I suggest doing something CREATIVE. Sex itself is a "creative urge" so fill the moments of temptation with writing, singing, flip on your music and dance, (most people LOVE to dance) etc. People are malleable and you can REprogram yourself. 9. focus on another goal

For me i had to make a lot of drastic changes cause my triggers were: instagram, beer and loneliness. I have had a lot of relapses and i mean a lot but i identified what made me fall and made a plan to avoid triggers, not go to places where i have too much temptation (hooter type bars), i stopped drinking, i read my Bible more often, I play my Bible at night cause that was usually when i was tempted when endlessly scrolling and finally i avoided youtubers that made too many sexual innuedos. Going on about 7+ days now hopefully this time it's for good cause i honestly want a good relationship with God and also a successful life.

Something that helped me a lot and I would recommend to everybody is film a video of yourself AFTER you watch and talk about how bad you feel. Watch that video again every time you feel tempted and you won’t want to feel it again.

Whenever I’m tempted, I just turn off my phone. That way, I can’t watch the porn, however much I may desire to. I try to think about god and the ones I love, and that destroys my temptation. Even just the time it takes for the phone to turn off and back on helps fight temptation

The scariest part of the addiction is probably when you're first addicted because you're ruining your life while having short shots of pleasure and you think there's nothing wrong with it. It took me 2 years into the addiction when I realised I needed to get rid of it ASAP.
Took me ten. There’s probably some irreversible damage there. I will never be the same but so long as God wills it, I will overcome what challenges come my way.
I had to forgive myself because I used to be upset with the fact that I WISHED that I had recognized my problems sooner. I realized that all I could do is look forward. Hope you are well

Something I do and something I’m trying to do consistently when I’m tempted is memorize and recite scripture. I don’t remember one time when it didn’t help. Here are some verses that I recite to myself (not only in my head but verbally) when I’m tempted.

We can't do anything by our own strength. Ask God to help you and to change your heart and he will give you a new heart with new desires. Then you must repent not just saying sorry, but actually turning away from sin. God will help you if you are willing to lay down your temptations and follow him. Hope this helps 💕

Ofc brother I’ll pray for u, and some tips I’ve picked up on my journey of trying to quit porn is everytime u get an urge either go in a public place or if your home alone try doing some jumping jacks cause it gets your blood flowing away from down under. I’m honestly not doing great myself with this but those are just things I’ve noticed that help. Also when he said get a texting buddy I don’t have one atm but if you have snap maybe we could be?
