I swear this movie is so Underrated
I love this film it is totally underrated
@@trevorphillps1387 TREVOR WYD HERE? SHOULDN'T YOU BE RUNNING YOUR COMPANY?
Stupid underrated bro this movie is amazing
Facts I wish they made a part 2 but this well done we don't need a part 2 but shit I wish lol
Facts Can’t tell you how many times I watched this movie had the dvd and everything
Man, the part where he's watching his Dad fight the match at the end with a big smile on his face. Oof right in the feels.
When he called him dad instead of Charlie
It took while, but Charlie finally got his title fight
@@elite_rock_god2292 Yeah, I kind of think that was Max's whole plan.
You're absolutely 100% right
Tears, every single time. Probably one of the happiest sad parts of any movie of all time.
I never thought a bunch of robots could make me cry either Leo. Goosebumps the whole time.❤
Umm transformers?.....
@@theweedspot360What part of Transformers is worth crying over?
@@theweedspot360You cried over Transformers? I mean, it's bad, but don't you think that's a bit of an overreaction?
Let's see ratchet Ironhide and even Optimus dies at points during the movie they were blown up mid space travel back to their planet and don't be like aurhhh yeah but they survived we didn't know that before the end of the movie it's not an overreaction the issue here is your too afraid to admit you cry and that's ok not all of us are that strong we can admit when we cry but it's ok we're all here for you
@@theweedspot360idk about y’all but no transformers did not make me cry lmao
The fact that a live-action boxing robot movie has only been done once which is this one makes it so special. Love the Atom design. This is a very fun underdog story
I'm so surprised this never got a sequel. It's one of those few movies that deserves one, but I'm ok if it stays as a cult classic!
@@djoscartjI heard they almost made it and it was going to focus on how atom was indeed a special self aware robot. The only one! It never got green lit, but the same actors should return years later and make it, could be great!
I saw this movie the year it came out, and I thought it was just gonna be a popcorn flick where robots punched each other. The father/son dynamic caught me completely off guard. The kid in this movie is so awesome and badass. I'm 52 years old and not ashamed to admit that a stupid "rock'em sock'em robots" movie made me weep like a bitch. I'm so glad that you watched this.
I saw this movie as an act of chance. The kids wanted to watch one of the "Twilight" movies (which I think came out the same weekend) and the tickets they sold us got the showing cancelled, so they gave us our money back and free tickets to "Real Steel" that same night--totally unknown movie to us. The kids weren't really having it, but we decided to stay at the movies and watch it. Man! What a ride that was. We ended up buying the DVD the minute it went on sale!
I was about 11 when I first watched this movie in theaters with my dad. I was staying the weekend with him and he didn’t have much money at the time so I payed for the tickets and snacks. This movie reminds me of him everytime I watch it. Great reaction Leo 👍
@@mikaelowe8430So? You must be fun
Absolutely loved this movie back in the day. A decent story, a lesson in morals, and quality entertainment. Why does Hollywood not make these anymore?
Cause their too busy worrying about diversity and inclusion nowadays.
Share holders prefer income than quality.
@@louieniall6890 Exactly, Louie! There's a hetero-normative family dynamic at the center of this film, so no way they would make it today. Unless Charlie had a non-white boyfriend, Max wore frilly dresses and Lemkova was covered head to toe in a loose, three-piece suit...
@@louieniall6890 Fortunately this "woke BS" is costing them billions a year. These people are going to have to decide once and for all; is some propaganda piece that everyone is sick to death over really worth them losing their multi million dollar mansions and living on the streets with the rest of the "peasants?"
Too woke for their own good
"I wanna watch it again!" It's so rewatchable. I've seen it quite a few times and it's just a comfort movie for me.
Such a little gem of a movie man was one of me and my dads favourites i revisited it about a year after his passing and the emotions hit hard bro, so glad you enjoyed it thank you for reacting to it man ❤
same for me and my pops. sorry for your loss man.
God bless both of you and your father. I will say a prayer tonight for you both!
Having Max just watch his dad do what he loves and be proud even though his dad wasn’t around….. literally cry every time. This is literally one of the most underrated movies on earth
@randywhite3947 it is tho, people think the movie was bad, it didnt sell very good in the us but it did in other countries which still wasnt enough.
My dad was a boxer, Amateur Golden Gloves back in the day and he taught me to fight from the time I could stand. My parents divorced and my mother always told me how much of a deadbeat wash-up he was until I got older and repaired my relationship with him. I discovered he loved me more than life itself and that my mum had kept a lot from me... I missed out on so many years with him. I lost him last year. His great powerful heart just stopped and I miss him every day... I feel you, Leo. ♥Anything with dads like this makes me sob and _Real Steel_ had tears streaming down my face at the end, even now re-watching it through your reaction. If you ever do the _Rocky_ films I'm going to drown in tears! lol
to anyone with a shitty dad: it’s okay. You didn’t do anything wrong. And you’re doing perfectly.
❤
If your mother is the one telling you that you have a shitty dad, take it with a grain of salt too. Women scorned don't give a crap about their child's best interests and will poison you against a man who is just trying his best as an act of petty revenge...
@@Derpng I met mine once.
He deserved the hate, lol.
@@jenr5426 similar situation he comes over when he can be bothered and i truly believe one of these days he's going to say or do something that'll push me over the edge and we're gonna come to blows but I hope it never comes
Yeah Eminem it’s ok. 😂
Fun Fact: The guy who plays Kingpin at the Zoo wrote the screenplay for this movie. He also wrote the story for "Need For Speed" Which is another great movie.
I feel you Leo. My dad passed away 10 yrs ago and I always wished that I would of spent so much more time with him. Loved your reaction dude. I'll always love this movie. Such an underrated gem of a movie.
Im loving that people are giving this movie the love it deserves!
This movie came out of nowhere and I ended up loving it. It’s such a hidden gem.
So few people are reacting to this movie. Really glad you’re giving it a watch!
You'd be a really great dad, Leo. I really hope and pray you get to have that beautiful experience. The world would be better with more people like you in it.
@Derpng Some movies provide messages that can inspire or teach someone. Saying the word "type" as in you, meaning Leo is an odd thing to say for you don't even know this person.
@@Derpng Your anger and concern is misplaced. It is completely normal and common to watch a movie and be so immersed that you forget it’s a movie (to a degree), even with fantastical, sci-fi or superhero movies. It’s called suspension of disbelief, when we choose to put aside our knowledge of what the real world is, and how it’s supposed to operate. Being immersed in a film is not a sign of stupidity, but rather a sign that that film is well-made. No one genuinely believes that movies are ACTUALLY real life.
Ain't that deep
Everything this director does is top notch. He always manages to find the heart so many stories today are lacking.
There's a bit of a small theory that Atom might actually have mind of his own. If you look carefully when Max said if he can understand him, you can see Atom faintly nodded at him.
Not exactly, it’s just the shadow mode he has, not only does it copy but uses the data he was given to do it. However, according to the lore and the canon games of the movie, Atom was part of the first WRB champion’s team as its training robot. He was one of the first 2nd generation robots and was specially designed to copy the fighting styles of the champion’s opponents until he got obsolete.
This movie is a classic definitely was ahead of its time
Wish they could make a sequel for this film it’s one of my favourites
Been saying this forever. I think Hugh Jackman's success with Wolverine prevented this from happening.
Its in production at Disney+
I did not expect this film to hit the way it did, had me ballin like a little kid. I think this film hits the way it does because for those of us that had difficulties with our dad's we see thing differently........quality reaction Leo, you the Real Steel reactor ❤ 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I didn't really come from a good house. My stepfather wasn't the nicest guy and the less said about my doner, the better. Movies like these really get me in the heart. I love my dad, I really do, but seeing movies like this just make me wonder what life could have been if there was something better with me and my parents. Great movie, man.
They totally should make a sequel of this movie. It is so underrated, but lot's of people love it.
Imagine a Real Steel 2!?
Imagine a Robot called *"The Wolverine"* as an easter egg for Hugh Jackman lol 😆
Yeah, charlie really reflected on his lifestyle versus his child's wellbeing. He called max's aunt not cuz he didnt care for max, but because he felt Max wasnt safe being with him.
Kevin Duand is an extremely underexposed actor. He's SO MUCH better than he's given credit for.
@@Typecast-L That line is the best example of "Tell me you're racists without telling me you're racist." lol. The intent with ONE word is just really obvious.
Should have been Reacher in the movies.
So underrated! He's like Gary Oldman where he can play so many different types of characters you forget it's him. I was completely caught by surprise him playing a gangbanger in The Butterfly Effect.
I remember crying so much watching this movie. I didn't expect that. Bring the 🔥☮️💜
This was filmed in my hometown of Detroit, @9:58 the gym is now a restaurant called The Apparatus room, and the scene where the kid wins his first fight with Atom was filmed at the abandoned Belle Isle Zoo.
This would be so good when it came out. I was shocked that they didn't make a second one
I'm glad they didn't make a sequel, sometimes one good film is all you need, anything more could ruin it
Man, I can't believe how emotional I got over a freakin' robot - glad to know I'm not the only one. Great reaction, Leo!❤
Under rated movie ever made and I'm happy more people are watching this movie
Your my favorite reactor! Your funny af and your not afraid to be real! Keep up the good work bro
Omg.... my son had to fall asleep to this for 3 years straight. Amazing memories and soul ❤️
Went and saw this movie with my dad and brother in the dollar theater when we were bored one weekend. It was so much better than we thought it'd be.
In my country, this Movie became free to watch in the cinemas during Father's Day
This movie was such a gem. I might be a little biased because my dad and I watched this together and it was the best movie we've ever watched together... But still, such a gem
One of the best movies ever...I reflect on my pops every time I watch it
This is such an underrated movie and it was a joy to watch that you got it every bit as much as it got you. All the actors are giving it their best and I would love to see a sequel, there's talks about one probably surfacing one day every now and then, its a shame we didn't get one already.
This was basically the plot of Rocky but with Robots. Zeus may have "Won the fight" but he didn't defeat Adam who went the distance and fought until the last bell.
This was my favorite movie as a kid. So excited to see you react to this!
Adam vs Zeus was 10 rounds, 9 of which featured Zeus dominating and Adam repeatedly going down. Zeus was ALWAYS going to win on decision, a knockout was their only chance
This film is an underrated gem. Great reaction bro! 👍🏿
Bailey learned Charlie's secret while watching the Atom//Zeus fight.
Charlie threw the number two fight he had back in the day, and could have won.
He took the easy money rather than follow through. Max changed that part of him.
This was one of the best reactions on the channel by a far
Today's algorithm comment is: This right here is why Mr. Video is goated. It's not an act. Leo is just a genuine, decent dude. He puts himself out there and isn't afraid to be vulnerable in front of thousands of people. His home-life is none of our business, but he lets us in.
I missed the intro, I loved this movie,my grandfather used to box when he was younger. Luckily I was able to watch this film with him before he passed at the blessed age of 92. He truly enjoyed this film too,now it brings a smile to my face to see others enjoy this film also. Miracles and blessings to you and yours ✌️ 💜.
Found this movie on my dad's laptop and watched it outta pure boredom! It's a rare gem though!
the noisy boy fight is like picking the fighter in a game that everyone says is broken and going straight to the hardest arcade mode, skipping right after the training room.
I still have my dad but he wasn't there for me growing up. He's an alright grandpa but he is who he's always been, and I've spent many years wishing I could've had a better dad. I'm sorry for your loss.
This movie though, its been one of mine and my son's favorites since it came out. Will never get tired of it 😊
Man I feel you, this movie hit different & probably cause I never had that relationship with my father like the movie portrays. 10/10 for me
This movie is really a true great. As someone who never met their dad and lost their mum at a young age this does bring tears to my eyes
And what’s crazy is my mom loves this movie 😂
I love this movie.
Bring me tears
This movie has a lot in common with Over The Top staring Sylvester Stallone, it's worth a watch too.
Never seen that movie, but I was noticing similarities with the Rocky movies. Atom can take hits just like Rocky. Atom’s first round with Zeus (a seemingly invincible opponent) was rough, just like Rocky vs. Drago (also a seemingly invincible opponent) in Rocky IV. And Charlie waited for Zeus to run out of energy just like Rocky did with Clubber Lang in Rocky III. And the underdog got a shot at the title, and the fight ended with the champion retaining the title, but the underdog being rooted for. Both of which are similar to the first Rocky movie.
Beyond sorry that you never got what you craved and deserved as I know that feeling as well sadly, when you started to look so intensely upset it made me want to climb through the screen and give you a hug 😢.
Awe you made me tear up talking about your dad. I wish he’d been there for you more.
I normally don't agree when people say a movie is underrated but this is the one movie I consider underrated asf
Not all shitty dads are trying to be shitty but some shitty dads are actually good people surprisingly I learned that the hard way I've watched this movie tons of times and yet when I watched it with this dude I start tearing up
I love that they filmed some of the movie down the road from my old house. The courtroom and exterior were filmed here in Mason, MI. One day, Hugh Jackman went across 5he street and interacted with many of the citizens at the coffee shop.
Damn Leo, had me crying right along with you.. ❤
Also when he said homeboy his eyes got really serious and I love how they convey he's gonna get his ass beat with just one word and a simple look it's really good
Leo, even though you never had a strong relationship with your dad you cannot sit in regret. He would be proud of the man you are and the fact you bring joy to your subscribers/fans! never stop being you
For some reason i rewatched this movie a bunch as a kid and it has always held a small place in my soul for some reason ❤ love you as always Mr V!
I loved this movie so much when it came out.. I had the game for about a whole year and made my bot beat the champ. Haven't played the game in years but it was such a good boxing game
U don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for someone to do a reaction to this movie!! Thank you 🙏🏾
My favorite top movie of all time! I rewatched this a million times since it came out!
the video played and i subbed as soon as u started talking u got a good vibe
This movie was criminally underrated when it came out
This movie my jam...i wish there sequel i wanted more of Atom and that world. I saw it in the theater and was blown away
49:51 The attack that Zeus used was really dangerous for humans. Basically when your opponent blocks his face with his arms together, punch him in the stomach to force the opponent to bend down and hit the elbow to force the fist to hit their head (if you do it right, it's fine. can break the opponent's skull a bit)
I love that more and more people are finding this movie. It's one of my all time favourites.
funny thing is, he's supposedly the prototype of what zeus is, zeus does learn from fight, but atom learns from everything, and it was confirmed atom's sentient
Sugar Ray Robinson was the boxing coordinator for this film.
Man, this movie reaction. I went through all the emotions like I was watching the movie for first time.
46:35 you trying to be positive but just can’t hide your true emotions is cracking me up hahahaha we are one in the same on that
we know how you feel such a emotional movie we just wanted those days of bonding and overcoming such a underated movie
One of my favorite movie.
This movie brings tears to me as well it's such an underrated movie it's not amazing by any means but it makes you feel things in the soul when the girl was happy crying for him at the end
You got wolverine, Falcon, the Blob, and the wasp all in one movie.
I love this movie!!! So happy you are reacting to it.
This kids, is what you call a perfect movie. Succeeds at everything it sets out to do.
Great video mate, really enjoyed that!
When you said Somebody slide me some oil! Let it trickle down my spine! 😂😅🤣😂
This is what I love about you man. You just enjoy movies. I love this one, though I’m partial to boxing movies in general.
Bro, you gotta do more Father Son movies - Over the Top (1987), Enemy Mine (1985) & Dutch (1991) are three top tier Father Son films that are must watches. Keep up the quality vids man, I've been binging your channel for the last week - thanks for the laughs! Big love from Scotland.
watched this at least 15 times ove, genuinely one of the best movies out there, would do anything to watch this for the first time again
Such an underrated movie
Hugs for you, my dude 🖤 I was raised by my dad because my mom took off, so I feel you on missing a parental figure 🖤
HOMEBOY! My dad and I quote that often it’s hilarious
This movie is underated as hell,I have recommended this movie on multiple reaction channels and you are the first one to actually do it.Great reaction Leo and just to drop another hidden gem that no one reacts to is Sling blade with Billy Bob Thornton, another great movie that has flown under this generations radar
What a movie this is, i remember when this came out and I was a kid bruh such a sick concept for a movie
This movie was super underrated. Great reaction man.
Fire 🔥🔥🔥 reaction keep bringing that heat.Great underdog movie, hope they do a part 2
This film gets me everytime. I love an underdog story
What i love most about Leo is that he’s not trying to guess every step of the movie! Just enjoy it and love it as much as us
Prolly one of the best Man x Machine films I’ve seen!
man, This used to be shown on TV when I was a kid, re-run after re-run. amazing it's almost becoming a classic now
Movie brings me to tears every damn time
I loved your energy this video!
