I loved looking at the Giant's players faces, they were like WTF just happened in under 8 mins. They couldn't believe they lost that game. LMFAO. He might not be the most accomplished QB ever, but in my opinion, he is MOST TALENTED QB of all time. He is the quintessential perfect player. He could run better than anyone, and also throw better than anyone. The velocity and spin with which he threw the football is astonishing. He is one of the few players who could change the dynamics of a football game ALL BY HIMSELF.

    I said it the whole time. People would never appreciate what he was until long after he was done. He was the most naturally talented player in American Sports History. He fucked up, he owned up to it, served every single day of his sentence, didn't get off light at all, then spent the rest of his career and life trying his best to make a positive difference. This is an amazing role model to have, as long as you learn from his mistakes and understand what he has been trying to tell everyone since, that making those mistakes isn't inevitable and anyone can turn it back around. Truly was my favorite player of his time, along with Brett Favre and towards the end Adrian Peterson.

I will never forget, how he single handedly kept VT in that championship game vs florida state. FSU woulda stomped them if vick wasnt vick. VT even had a lead late in the 3rd quarter of that game, and FSU didnt pull away until vick was outta gas in the 4th and the offense bogged down. pretty sure FSU was nearly a 21 point favorite in that game, it was supposed to be a blowout.

    • @sedaw3261
      @sedaw3261 5 лет назад +20

      @Rusty Shackleford LT was a monster but he wouldn't be able to touch Vick on the field, and Vick is also a QB, which is by default most influential position in the game. I don't know how old you are, but obviously neither one of us saw LT play live, but I definitely saw Vick live, and the way he took over games was nothing like I've ever seen before. So I would go with Vick, but LT is obviously also a good pick

    • @sedaw3261
      @sedaw3261 5 лет назад +3

      @Rusty Shackleford I doubt everything you said but who cares, we'll just have to agree to disagree

    • @sedaw3261
      @sedaw3261 5 лет назад +18

      @Rusty Shackleford You have a pretty poor attitude for someone who's presumably 38 years old, and even if you are, you were still in kindergarten while LT was in his prime. Your grammar is off, you're using words of teenagers, and I don't imagine someone who's 38 using such a stupid looking profile pic, which means you're definitely a kid. So, watching highlights of someone and actually watching them live gives you a completely different perspective of how good they really were. People who saw both (LT and Vick) usually say that LT was a monster on defense, but that Vick had more influence upon the outcome of the game, because he was a QB who had a strong arm and could also run like no one else. And I completely agree with that. You said that LT dominated the game for much longer than Vick did, which is completely irrelevant, since were talking about a single game. If you go and watch some of the full games of the Giants from 1981 to 1990, you will see that LT definitely had an impact over a game, but, obviously, most of the time he didn't get to the QB. He was disruptive but that's about it. Vick was way more than just disruptive, he was a game changer like I've never seen before. He took over games by himself and carried sorry Falcons to improbable wins all the time. When receivers were open he often completed a pass, and when they weren't open he simply ran as he pleased. And just for the record, linebacker can never have more influence over a game than QB. Aaron Donald nowadays is very dominant, but he doesn't have more influence over a game than Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes, Brees, ... simply because they're QB's and Donald is a linebacker. Simple as that

    I was a life long football fan when I saw Michael Vick for the first time in college. I was enthralled. As a little girl I watched football with my dad. He taught me the positions, the plays, the rules. While my dad coached my brother, I was beside him on the sidelines holding the clipboard keeping dad informed about what was working, what had he not called, who needed to go in. As a girl and a non athlete to boot, it was the closest I could get to the game. I was in school in Alaska in 1976 when Seattle got their franchise and I became a Seahawk fan. That has never changed but living in Georgia for over 20 years I root for and go to the Falcons games as long as the outcome isn’t affecting my Seahawks of course. Falcons#2 Seahawks#1
    When Chandler went down in that game and I knew Michael was coming in, I was at the edge of my seat. With each game Michael played I knew I was seeing a player, an athlete, in all my many years of being a football fan, seeing the best that ever played-I had Dick Butkus pictures in my bedroom-that Michael Vick was THE GOAT. I was sorry my dad had passed away and didn’t get to see this amazing man play HIS GAME. Nothing that happened changed my opinion about Michael’s talent. I was glad he got a second chance. I was glad he got to rebuild his finances. I mourn for the Hall of Fame career that Michael didn’t get to have-opinion held by talking heads but not my opinion- but the career he did have was still a joy to see. I could go on a rant about his jail sentence but he took it like a man so I will save that as usual for a PETA argument.

      He couldn’t have been a Top 10. No super bowl ring. You got guys like
      Manning
      Brady
      Montana
      Young
      Marino
      Brees
      Rivers
      Rothlisberger
      Aikman
      Even guys like Culppepper
      Mike Vick was just a RB in a CB body that played QB. When things got flat on offense, he just started playing back yard football. He never studied and he was lazy. The fact that he recognizes that today, doesn’t change anything of then.
      But he couldn’t “easily” been a top 3 QB. Brady is the greatest QB of all time. Nobody will ever surpass him. Manning is the 2nd best QB of all time. And then guys like Brees or Marino.

    Vick is still my favorite qb to ever watch, and it's crazy to think that he could've been a better passer, he had the arm to do it. He showed that a qb could scramble and have a cannon too. Not to mention he didn't have big name wide outs to throw to either, he had Crumpler at tight end and Warrick Dunn at rb other than that no real weapons and racked up wins
