Whenever a contestant was eliminated from the show, I loved it when Chef Jock sent them off with a hug, reminded them of their accomplishments while on the show, and proclaimed their name loudly, asking everyone to give up a round of applause for them as they left. He truly felt pain in his heart seeing them leave.
Jock’s legacy will be the fact that Brent Draper won MadterChef 2023. The empathy and compassion shown to Brent by Jock in Brent’s first season stuck with me. The fact Brent did come back, and won, directly down to Jock. I’m so glad his final season was a complete representation of what Jock was about.
I cried and cried... Never did I cry for a person who I didn't know personally. He was just an amazing human being with infectious smile and sense of humor. Oh I will miss him.. Master chef Australia will never be same without him!!! Miss you Jock❤❤❤
I"m Canadian. I only began watching MasterChef Australia when Jock, Andy, and Melissa joined. Jock was such a stand up man and class act. His compassion, kindness, empathy, and sense of humour always came through the screen like no other on screen personality. He was just so real and didn't pretend to be anything less. I have the utmost admiration for him. and he has been a positive influence on my life. I will never forget him. I don't think I've ever felt such profound sadness for someone I never met in my life.
Its really weird for me to shed tears for someone I don't even know personally, I mean I only watched him and the trio for only a few months not even a year, but I love him, I love watching him. You know, I only found out about Jock maybe 3 years ago and then I started following his career and watching any videos of him. I've always watched Gordons videos and whenever I saw them together they seemed to be like best friends having to live their lives away from each other. This right here with Gordon and all the chefs in this video shows that food brings bright, honest and great people together. One of my goals was to always meet Gordon, Jock and Marco and sadly I won't have that chance. I will definitely try to visit any restaurant of his in the future to at least get a taste of his legacy. It's still so hard to process that Jock is really gone. He had such a big presence and such a loving manner that brought so many fans to MS. I've been watching MasterChef Australia for a number of years now, and not only the contestants but the judges all bring such joy and laughter to the show, especially Jock. But never in my wildest dreams would I expect to hear him pass away unexpectedly after being on MasterChef for just a few years. Jock was one of the few chefs that brings guidance and joy to every aspiring cook and chef. He'll be forever missed but never ever forgotten. And he'll always be part of the MasterChef family. From the first moment of the news until now and who knows how much more, I think forever, I'm in fan grief on this human being. After a week, I can put a few words together. This man was too good for the current world. We didn't deserve him as much as he didn't deserve such a small amount of time on this planet with his beloved ones. When somebody important for us is passing away, it feels like we lost a part of our soul...in case with him, it got darker in whole soul dom without the light which he was giving to us. I am a fan of him just from Masterchef and his cooking and teaching on his channel, and that was more than enough to him to play every human being note in my viewer soul. It was an honor and endless pleasure to be your contemporary!... I wish to the family come through this with a feeling of wide support from everyone and eventually find harmony and peace. You were making him happy, and all of that was so important, especially for him. I so hope he will find that as well. Sitting here I Denmark and have watched Master Au for about 10 years now, but I have loved watching it since Andy, Jock and Marissa took over. Learning about his sutten dead now bc, I myself have been sick for a long time and now I had rhe time to catch up on season 15. First google search, Jock Zonfrillo passing😢 I couldn't believe it, he had such a heart, him talking to Brent last year, feeling his pain and also respect to stop. I cannot, CANNOT begin to imagine how his wife is feeling. Life is not only too short folks but very unfair sometimes, if not most times. The bad people continue to live and the good die. I’m reminded of Nelly Furtado song - Good things (why do they always have to come to an end). Why break such a beautiful family? Take away such a great human being? SMH.

I've been watching MasterChef Australia for a number of years now, and not only the contestants but the judges all bring such joy and laughter to the show, especially Jock. But never in my wildest dreams would I expect to hear him pass away unexpectedly after being on MasterChef for just a few years. Jock was one of the few chefs that brings guidance and joy to every aspiring cook and chef. He'll be forever missed but never ever forgotten. And he'll always be part of the MasterChef family. We love you, Jock. We'll miss you 😢😔😭
Im currently watching masterchef 2022 episode 21 then i just saw a comment "RIP Chef Jocks" and im shock and i can't believe it that he died in such a young age :< i loved how he sends off the contestants who just got eliminated by shouting their name, compliment them, and sending them with a hug :< Condolences to his family, love once, and people who love him dearly. From the first moment of the news until now and who knows how much more, I think forever, I'm in fan grief on this human being. After a week, I can put a few words together.
This man was too good for the current world. We didn't deserve him as much as he didn't deserve such a small amount of time on this planet with his beloved ones. When somebody important for us is passing away, it feels like we lost a part of our soul...in case with him, it got darker in whole soul dom without the light which he was giving to us.
I am a fan of him just from Masterchef and his cooking and teaching on his channel, and that was more than enough to him to play every human being note in my viewer soul. It was an honor and endless pleasure to be your contemporary!...
I wish to the family come through this with a feeling of wide support from everyone and eventually find harmony and peace. You were making him happy, and all of that was so important, especially for him. I so hope he will find that as well.

Sitting here I Denmark and have watched Master Au for about 10 years now, but I have loved watching it since Andy, Jock and Marissa took over. Learning about his sutten dead now bc, I myself have been sick for a long time and now I had rhe time to catch up on season 15. First google search, Jock Zonfrillo passing😢 I couldn't believe it, he had such a heart, him talking to Brent last year, feeling his pain and also respect to stop. I cried and now crying again. 😢 Rest in peace Jock, bless your family and friends❤
