I was SO PISSED, At the world, at everyone, people close to me would just let me rage a bit. Used to take my car out to a deserted stretch of highway I knew about and see how fast I could get going, half preying to hit a deer at 130 and just have it be over, the anger is the realest bit for me. I did end up walking again, I'm still a little shaky and can't run, but better than I was.

God I love this video. So often men are accused of being cold and not sharing their feelings, but you see plenty of emotion here... the frustration and anger, but the joy and excitement as well... and not just in Kurt, but in his friends and family surrounding him, taking joy in his successes with him... it's just not expressed the same way women express it. that doesn't make it wrong. Men support each other by being there when they are needed, by motivating and inspiring each other to overcome the problems, not by sitting there and wallowing in the problem and emotions until someone else comes along to solve it.
All these years later man... what a great group of friends. I'm sure at times it felt like you were alone (kurt) but this video outlines the outpouring of love and support these guys have for you. Truly a special bond and I'm glad to see you made a full recovery. Rock on brother

Levi DRAGON V. it a true story i watched interview with him and he showed his leg, it true he puts a magnetic metal at the bottom of his foot so his foot would stay on a pedal on a bike.
Kurt's injuries from this accident were beyond horrific. We only see here how his left leg had to be amputated at the knee, but the other injuries he suffered actually went FAR beyond that. His right anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament were torn, both his pelvis and his bladder were literally torn in half, seven of his vertebra were broken along with multiple ribs, both of his lungs collapsed, and he suffered a severe concussion. Remarkably, one year later, Kurt made a full recovery. No matter how bleak a situation might be, never EVER lose hope, miracles can and do happen every day. Kurt is proof of that.

i first heard this song when i was 12 and at gymnastics practice it was only 3 weeks before i lost my leg due to a post op infection, i was shown the video a few days after my leg was amputated and i just felt like maybe gymnastics wasn’t over for me, it took a lot of hard work but i would watch this video nearly everyday to motivate me to keep going, i’m 17 now and have been doing competitive gymnastics for 3 years since my amputation and tbh i don’t know if would have been at this point without watching this video

I just got so pumped seeing that guy back on his bike! I was literally cheering and pumping my fists. I did the same ridiculously stupid thing when I was younger street riding with friends (riding arrogantly straight into the road). I got hit and the axle nut ripped a whole in my leg but I didn't lose it. This guys story makes me see how lucky I was. So happy to see him get back on his bike.

The video always blew my mind, a guy who lived for BMX tricks, disabled by a horrible accident and able to get back to doing what he loves and lives for. The drum and bass music adds to the fact that such a hard feat became possible with maximum effort and a bit more, and he had such a long way to go.

This song brings up so many memories to me personally. I miss like hell those summers where we would drink beers, ride bikes, have fun, being "kids". Now I'm engaged my best friend is almost engaged. Everyone in our group is trying to figure out his path in life. Enjoy every moment with your buddies. You really don't know when would be the last time you guys see each other as a group. I miss like hell those good ol days. Money wouldn't be a problem but time is now. The freedom that comes with a bike and steep downhill, an open road or trail or a skater park is surreal. this comment is one of the best... man I still remember great moments that me n my friends had when we were young... playing cricket, riding bicycles, enjoying board games... now, 2 of my best friends moved out of our apartment, and none of us meet each other like we used to back then cuz we all have a lot on our hands now.
I'm 50 next week, broke more bones than I can remember since riding a mogoose supergoose in the 80s then Hoffman bikes in the 90s to a £100 mogoose brawler now (just for beer runs) keep riding crew BMX RULES.
Amazing, everything in this video is real footage, not sure about the beginning though but it's all real, all the emotion you see, through to overcoming the challenge to get back on the bike, Kurt Yeager (The amputee) has commented here a couple of times before even thanking the people commenting here congratulating his success on overcoming his disability, but no more is it a disability. It's unfortunate it happened but it's a great influence for people to never give up, as the army say in the U.K. Adapt, Improvise and Overcome and you will achieve anything.
Yeah. It's really great to see how he overcome his despair, how he overcome his handicap, how he fall over again and again and still stands up just so he can be together with his fellas and his bike!

They're treating you as a tool basically. It's disguisting, but it can be identified, because if they do use you only as a source of some value, they won't give you any value back. It's terrible, especially when the human being used is emotionally attached to the human that uses him. I hate injustice and it almost makes me cry. But that's life, and it will always be like this. i first heard this song when i was 12 and at gymnastics practice it was only 3 weeks before i lost my leg due to a post op infection, i was shown the video a few days after my leg was amputated and i just felt like maybe gymnastics wasn’t over for me, it took a lot of hard work but i would watch this video nearly everyday to motivate me to keep going, i’m 17 now and have been doing competitive gymnastics for 3 years since my amputation and tbh i don’t know if would have been at this point without watching this video

I just got so pumped seeing that guy back on his bike! I was literally cheering and pumping my fists. I did the same ridiculously stupid thing when I was younger street riding with friends (riding arrogantly straight into the road). I got hit and the axle nut ripped a whole in my leg but I didn't lose it. This guys story makes me see how lucky I was. So happy to see him get back on his bike.

The video always blew my mind, a guy who lived for BMX tricks, disabled by a horrible accident and able to get back to doing what he loves and lives for. The drum and bass music adds to the fact that such a hard feat became possible with maximum effort and a bit more, and he had such a long way to go.

This song brings up so many memories to me personally. I miss like hell those summers where we would drink beers, ride bikes, have fun, being "kids". Now I'm engaged my best friend is almost engaged. Everyone in our group is trying to figure out his path in life. Enjoy every moment with your buddies. You really don't know when would be the last time you guys see each other as a group. I miss like hell those good ol days. Money wouldn't be a problem but time is now. The freedom that comes with a bike and steep downhill, an open road or trail or a skater park is surreal. You'll never know that the true happiness was present in these moments. Take care of you guys.

this comment is one of the best... man I still remember great moments that me n my friends had when we were young... playing cricket, riding bicycles, enjoying board games... now, 2 of my best friends moved out of our apartment, and none of us meet each other like we used to back then cuz we all have a lot on our hands now.
I'm 50 next week, broke more bones than I can remember since riding a mogoose supergoose in the 80s then Hoffman bikes in the 90s to a £100 mogoose brawler now (just for beer runs) keep riding crew BMX RULES.
Amazing, everything in this video is real footage, not sure about the beginning though but it's all real, all the emotion you see, through to overcoming the challenge to get back on the bike, Kurt Yeager (The amputee) has commented here a couple of times before even thanking the people commenting here congratulating his success on overcoming his disability, but no more is it a disability. It's unfortunate it happened but it's a great influence for people to never give up, as the army say in the U.K. Adapt, Improvise and Overcome and you will achieve anything.
Yeah. It's really great to see how he overcome his despair, how he overcome his handicap, how he fall over again and again and still stands up just so he can be together with his fellas and his bike!
