- Another visit to the library. Just can't edit ALL the unwanted noise but I did my best. This time I stayed out of the fiction area. I was taking a look at the civil war and the south mainly. It was cool seeing all these photos and reading about a time that really was.

I love your channel so much! i can‘t watch other channels anymore because they just make sounds with the stuff for the sake of asmr but what gives me tingles is when it looks realistic and not just fabricated for a video. Your videos look so real, it‘s like i am with you in the library and just watch over your shoulder. the sounds are so good too though.

Going to the library with my Papa when I was very little is one of my favorite ASMR memories. Every week, I would ask him with excitement, jumping up and down, "Are we going to the lie-berry, Papa, to the lie-berry?!" And off we'd go.
In those days, a responsible parent didn't have to worry about letting a responsible little child (no, that isn't necessarily a contradiction, folks lol) wander through a huge (familiar) library on her own.
After I selected my books, I'd find and sit in a quiet corner near the stairs, which led to the second floor. I opened my little books to read. But I also listened to grown-ups walking through the aisles, sifting book pages through their fingers, and listen to their footfalls ascending the stairs. I'd look up from my little book at their shoes -- soft, medium and hard ones of all kinds, but always quiet in their steps. I watched and heard their hands slide along the stair rails, but chose not to look at their faces -- it was more mysterious that way, so my imagination could wander.
At the time, as with countless other children, my favorite books to borrow were Beatrix Potter's collection of little books (Peter Rabbit, etc.) made for tiny young hands. They had satiny-smooth pages, and had a wonderful, natural scent to them. Sometimes I'd just 'breathe in the pages.' I lived for those little books. And at bedtime, I would put them (carefully) under my pillow (which was in a satin pillow case my mother made for me)... and dream.

I have a suggestion for a video, not really a request so, feel no "obligation" to fulfill it.... Making a BLT. Similar to your breakfast video, frying bacon, making toast, slicing a tomato, and ripping or chopping lettuce. I just imagine the sound of crisp lettuce, that you rinsed on camera so, water sounds there, being broken in half....like from a salad commercial from the 80s, with a crunch sound. (Makes me think of the Wishbone commercial from the 90s _Pepper red, garden green, nothing like you've ever seen. Take a peek, take a pour. Looking at what you're looking for. Taste the color. Colorful Wishbone. Wishbone worlds most colorful taste_ .That was my favorite commercial that summer. 😂) Then spreading mayo on your toast, and slicing the sandwich in half. If you like, fry an egg to go along with it. It could be a breakfast part 2. ♥️

The hard part for me now with asmr is finding content that triggers me.
Almost everything feels so forced and unnatural with heavy fast paced tapping… Then there’s your channel.. The one I’m always coming back to. Feels so unintentional, and that’s what makes ASMR so damn good, to me.
Starting at 9:32 while you shuffle through that book is my favorite part!

I’ve always loved libraries and the crinkly sound of the dust jackets and the sounds of page turning. The smell of books and the endless shelves of new adventures. This is my favorite AMSR ever. I’m glad there is no talking, either. Don’t even watch the video. I just clean back, close my eyes and feel the tingles. ❤️
That’s so cool Karen! I am the same way. That’s why I almost always make a no talking version of each video. I rarely watch asmr videos. Just listen. Same reason I don’t watch music videos. Don’t want to spoil my imagination with images that will stick in my head and make unwanted associated memories. ♥️♥️♥️

Due to a recent change of management in my local library, people can't go searching for books among the bookshelves anymore, they have to request the book and the librarian has to pick it up. I don't always know in advance which book I want to borrow, so it makes me sad that I can't walk between the shelves like I used to. Oh my gosh! That is so terrible! Can you tell me why they don’t allow that anymore? Was there theft? I wouldn’t have any idea what book I wanted to read unless I saw something I liked. Oh well. Life! 😏
@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction I thought of theft, too, but I don't really know. The library was firstly managed by the Municipality while now there's a private company that changed all the rules. My university library works like that, too. What a pity!
Sara, If you find out the reason why please let me know. I am very curious. You don’t suppose it has anything to do with censorship do you? Not likely I guess. Still, such a sad and strange thing to happen.
@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction no, I don't really think it might have to do with censorship! I think it's just to protect themselves from eventual theft. Or to keep the library tidy with everything in its own place? Maybe both. I'm curious too, I'll let you know if I have the chance to talk with somebody who can explain to me what happened. :)

I hardly ever go to a library but when I do, I make the most of it. I usually bring a boat load of books home. And they must have crinkly dust jackets to listen to when I read! Lol.

Even happier now I'm seeing history books! 😍 history is by far my favourite subject but my niche is definitely the world wars, the majority of my books (both fact and fiction) are based on the 1910s-1940s era. @Kristi Gator I dont know much about the civil war, we mostly did about European history in school and I've focused on Tudor times and the world wars since because I'm in Britain so it fascinates me to learn more about the history of my country 😊

I started taking my 16month old to one of the libraries we have in our city for the baby story time they have every Monday. She loves it and I love that she's getting to start her library visits so young. She has so many books at our home and likes to bring them to me to look at with her. We love books so much! I've only watched a few of your videos so forgive me if maybe you've already done this. I like the library, page turning type videos. Could you maybe do one with books with bird pictures or even children's books? I like the visual part of your ASMR also, your hands on the books and your pretty nails but really pretty or colorful pictures for me would step it up a couple notches!!!

I did have it listed but I had to delete it because of the Coppa laws. RUclips flagged it. Apparently it was too attractive to children. A lot of us artists had to delete our videos that had things related to children in it.
I loved every section, especially the old photos in the After the Civil War, and 1930-1940 books.
I feel like I just walked thru the library with someone intent on getting books of a certain subject, then second guessing and finding other topics in case the first choices weren't page turners ...so essentially, me 😆

I film with my cell phone. I wear my cell phone against my body attached to a harness. Just Google some things and you’ll find what you need. That’s how I did it. Good luck Hailey.

I do wear my camera on my body. I use a harness that holds my cell phone.

Hi Brooke! You can purchase a camera harness from Amazon. That is where I got mine. I attach my cell phone to it. The harness straps to my chest.

alexa, I have two videos of receipts in my playlist called “paper and organizing”. They are really lo-fi because they are old but I still absolutely love those videos. Please check them out. If that doesn’t work for you, yes... I will make that video but one cannot make a whole video of just receipts in a purse. I would have to get real creative with that request. Let me know what you think of the others before I write down your request.
Like the last comment, just a few minutes in and after adjusting my headphones, I must lay down and let the tingles come as focusing on them along with Christ distracts me from this horrible CRPS and neurogenic pain. ❤
