- Well, I finally got to the library! I talked my daughter Abigail into coming with me and getting involved. I love her gentle touch. I am like a bulldozer compared to her gentle ways. She does the second half of the video. But I am there! She refused to speak or do VoiceOver. Go figure. LOL.
But I LOVE the way it turned out! I hope you will too. XOXO
In this video we will hear the acetate dust jackets crinkling, book page turning and squeezing, some short lived book spine tapping, some paper crinkles, background voice murmuring & my whispers.

Oh my goodness I’m in Australia and couldn’t believe my eyes when you pulled the Don Burke gardening book off the shelf. Don is a gardening guru here after having a TV show called Burke’s Backyard for many years, so cool to see his book all the way over there in your local library!

I remember in second grade when the teacher would have us pair up, my friend Edna and I would take turns reading softly. Everything she read I would fall to sleep 💤😴. She would ask if I was tired and I would explain that the soft whispers and page turning were so soothing 😌 to me. She would always laugh at me. That is my first memory of experiencing ASMR.
This video took me back back to 86 or 87.

Is it weird that I can SMELL this video? lol. I just reminisce about the smell of libraries and books, especially older books. Love that smell. I also love your daughter's style of flipping through books. Very soft and gentle. So relaxing!

The first thing I do at a library I look for amulet its pretty cool if u ask me
When i was in school we would go to the library and one kid a week would pick a book most of the time we'd grab green eggs and ham😂it had a plastic dust cover and she'd/the librarian would hold it up and read it take it down n turn the page....... OMG ID ALMOST BE DROOLING BY....... I LIKE THEM SAM I AM!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@kbella5656 Ernesto was referring to the consignment stores. I haven’t actually done any antique stores yet. I did look through some jewelry at an antique store but that’s it. If you are looking to see antiques, you won’t find that on my channel yet.

I was so relaxed watching and enjoying this lovely video, but something caught my attention: at 23:37 please tell me what’s that noise? sounds like a woman crying /screaming but it is creepy 😟
😂 that's funny. The sound you were hearing was my finger getting stuck on the acetate dust jacket. It squeaks sometimes when you run your hands along the books. Especially if there is humidity in the air.

I love the library directions! They remind me of students’ work displayed in classrooms. The libraries at where I live are much more office/professional looking.

I am obsessed with this one! I have watched it four times already! Book sounds, particularly the plastic dust jackets, are my absolute favourite! The whole concept of a visit to the library is very nostalgic for me! Oh and page turning...just "shivers me timbers!" 😍 I adore all of your narrative and page turning but when Abigail started her super gentle page turning and caressing, I was in heaven! The pair of you are a great combo! Give Abigail my compliments! 😊🥰 (I totally get your aggravation with the noisy talking). We were always taught to be super quiet in a library and to me, it has always been an integral part of the appeal. It is nice to hear people being happy though and it is a beautiful library! Those paper trees are magnificent! Kind of a shame that the staff are as noisy as they are...oh well...it is a great video! Well done! 😍😘🤗

You know, I expect to do a lot of editing and go through serious frustration trying to film at a store with all of its natural sounds. But a library? Screaming kids, loud employees and raucous laughter from public classes. It feels more like I am in a school or a store. I know I am being super grumbly but I am so frustrated EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there. It is NEVER quiet. I have always had a sort of reverence for libraries similar to that of a sanctuary. Hushed respect for the sake of the student or worshipper. There was cause for the quiet. It no longer exists. I’m sad. I feel like I am trying to create a video that represents what a library used to be like. I have to wonder if it’s just my town.

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Sadly, I have to admit that, it has been years since I set foot in a library and therefore, I can't offer any feedback as to whether or not noise is a common occurrence in a library these days but I hear you. It must be incredibly frustrating. Nevertheless, you produced an awesome video in spite of the noise and it was happy noise. It is kind of nice to hear people being cheerful, particularly with all that is going on in the world at the moment 😊🥰🤗
