An unpopular opinion, but I really like this movie. It’s the one that I watched the most in my personal collection besides Aliens. I appreciate the bold left turn at the intro of this movie.
Another awesome review bro! I have been enjoying hearing your thoughts on this film series in the buildup to the new movie. Yet again, I haven’t seen this movie but I have heard a lot of people mainly not being a huge fan of this one.
3 gets way too much hate, yeah its not as good as the og or aliens but its still a strong movie in its own right. As for the beginning, I liked it, the alien universe is dark, nasty, and happy endings are rare and just surviving is the best you can hope for in most cases. Edit: the xeno was an actual practical puppet and looked amazing, but they fulmed ut agaist blue screen and then inserted it later, thats why it looks wonky one minute and the great the next.

And yeah, I should’ve expanded upon the fact that the “digital” xeno was filmed practically, but I do agree that it looks wonky in those sequences.

3 has my favorite atmosphere.

Ripley doesn't have to explain the xenomorph to anyone in the first film, as they are all present when it first shows itself.

i havent seen this in a long time but i found it very meh. kinda good but kinda bad , very ok ish from what i remember
