What is it about your voice you dislike? Singing lessons can improve your breath support and usage, vocal cord function, and position of the larynx which helps improve tone quality. However, even with all this potential improvement, you may still not like your speaking voice.

Yes but it depends on the individual singer, age, gender, whether the larynx is high, whether the vocal cords are coming together in a balanced manner. What is your vocal type? If not take the PowerTest here: www.powertosing.com/ This will help you know which exercises to work on. It will help.
