So, here we are again! After many months of procrastination, I finally got round to making an updated version of my original video, mainly with all the extra stuff I missed the last time, and of course, the entirety of the Classic Era. (Plus a few clips to bridge each regeneration together.) The only notable stuff I missed this time around was the original pilot of An Unearthly Child, anything from DW Confidential / Totally DW / DW Unleashed, a few assorted video games, or anything from the P.R.O.B.E spin-off (though in this case I just couldn’t find any footage for it!) I also didn’t use any other spin-off material, like Torchwood/Class/Sarah Jane Adventures, etc. as that really ought to be in its own category, plus I may do a separate video for them eventually. Chapters: 0:06 - First Doctor 2:21 - Second Doctor 4:22 - Third Doctor 6:32 - Fourth Doctor 9:32 - Fifth Doctor 10:43 - Sixth Doctor 11:16 - Seventh Doctor 12:00 - Eighth / Ninth Doctor 12:16 - Tenth Doctor 13:05 - Eleventh Doctor 13:51 - Twelfth Doctor 14:33 - Thirteenth Doctor 15:07 - Fourteenth / Fifteenth Doctor 15:14 - Bonus Round Full list of Bonus Round Clips in description.
I love how many of these are just music stings or screaming in the classic era. Here are some of my favorite out of context bits: 2:39 "Hooray!" "Well this is gay!" *Death Stare* | 3:46 *Intense Button Mashing* *SLAY!* "Look Jamie, sandwiches." | 5:13 "I know you're alarmed." *DEAD* "Good." | 6:10 *Basically warbling for 5 seconds interrupted by The Doctor and an explosion* | 7:49 "Evil!" *Completely Indecipherable Out of Context* "Time's Running Out." | 8:16-8:17 *Seems horribly depressing out of context* | 8:49-8:52 "Up there." *Screaming* "What's going on?" *we're going* *on a TRIP!* | 10:56-10:57 "Can you reach that wheelchair?" *YOU MEAN THE ONE THE CAMERAS ON* | 11:07 *Noise* *Screaming* *Time for a workout!* | 11:14 "Carrot Juice?" *It was so bad he regenerated, fell down, and Mel exploded* |
Other distortions of using episodes as the fundamental unit include the Paul McGann movie and the Colin Baker era (which I think had half as many episodes that were twice as long).
@@originaludditeSame goes for Resurrection of the Daleks, which was intended to be 4x25 min, but was edited into two 45-minute episodes due to the BBC's 1984 Winter Olympics coverage messing up the timeslots.
This weirdly makes the classic era seem so much more avant-garde and action-packed than it actually probably was. Also god damn the wilderness years were wild
"Than it probably was" Nu-who doctors sit around giving a speech for 40 minutes while Jon Pertwee goes around getting into fist fights with The Sea Devils on the regular 😴🥂
@@AngoMango16 Thank you, I’m gonna go check that out! 😅 I started with new who but I’ve started watching the old doctors but I haven’t been there yet, but what do I care
Oh man Katarina’s death made the cut… I’ve been dying to see if modern Doctor Who will ever give its respect to her! The modern series LOVES to dance with the concept of companion deaths, Katarina was the first one! That has to count for something… the Doctor was very affected by it too, he said he “shall never forget her.” And I like to believe he never did!
Okay I know this would probably take ages, and someone may have already done it, but it would be a work of art if you could do a supercut of every time the Doctor says "of course" in the original series
It’s a sketch from another TV show called “Tonight’s the Night,” which John Barrowman hosted. The show was about fulfilling “wishes” for the audience members, like having them meet celebrities or sing songs, etc. This one had a guy acting out a mini scene with John and David Tennant

I love how about 80% of this is just screaming.
And also weird faces
The best summation of Classic Who I can think of: “A scream for every occasion”

I was thinking this as well. 😅😊

Man this really shows how crazy the show is.
This weirdly makes the classic era seem so much more avant-garde and action-packed than it actually probably was. Also god damn the wilderness years were wild
I think you're underestimating classic who a little bit there

classic who IS avant garde and action packed wdym
There's a surprising amount of violence in it. Not usually well executed, but certainly always entertaining
