  • Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan and former cricketer David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd sit down with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy to fiercely debate the sport of cricket.
Hailing from the United States, Mr Portnoy said he does not "know anything” or "care about" cricket.
“Cricket’s irrelevant, no one cares about cricket here.
“Is this show only in Sydney Australia or something?”

Imagine going on an overseas TV station to discuss your own national holiday and then they ask you about a sport you never heard of 😂😂😂 that must be so confusing hahaha

Regardless of who you supported in the 1st ashes test, it was one of the best test matches I've ever watched.

I live in Atlanta, I saw at least five British guys carrying cricket bats. I'll called the police. We don't tolerate hooligans.

As an Indian I can confirm that cricket is the greatest sport ever invented.

As Australians watching this… it’s rare for us to say “I agree with the poms on this one”, but it’s true on this 😂. I don’t hold anything against Americans who think it’s boring… pointless etc…. because they did not grow up with this beautiful game… they have no exposure to it

Most heated cricket discussion of all time

  • @matthewbloom19

The fact is, Europeans and Australians can name a bunch of teams across any sport in America yet no American can name a single cricket team.

American here, and I vividly remember the beginning of the first time I ever watched a cricket match(?) at a bar and we ended up making a drinking game out of trying to figure out the rules. I can’t remember if we ever figured it out, but I do know that we had a great time trying!

The guy in the second clip is good, he watched a video to understand it and said it’s more exciting than baseball 😂

The fact is, in dollar terms, cricket is the second most popular sport on the planet. Must suck to be an American to realise that they suck in the number one (football (or soccer to heathens)) and number two (cricket) most popular and profitable sports codes on the planet. NFL, NBA, MLB....never heard of you. Come back when you can compete at a world level, American level doesnt count for anyone except Americans

Portnoy was looking at them like they’re insane. I spent a few weeks in Australia and was taught the rules of Cricket and it is still boring.

  • @josephwillard5364

We just don’t know just like they don’t understand our sports a lot of times.
