      My advice is don’t over complicate the blade it is a complex piece of equipment to operate but it’s still pretty simple just have to have lots of time in the seat hope you get the opportunity to operate a blade thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

      I don’t think I will see asphalt in some of my areas maybe closer to the city I will have some roads get paved but we have a lot of gravel to maintain in my area thanks for watching!

    I really like those new blades you put on sure would be nice if you ever had your roller behind you I like it because it doesn't segregate all the stone and dirt keeps laying flat thank you for the video 🇺🇸🚜

    Woohoo always enjoy your vids, ive been blading for the past 2 weeks but most of the roads are absoloute slop as theres still a lot of frost & ice on our roads. That crown looks to be a bit off centre, do you find it "pully" leaving it that high? When i end up with a finished product that looks like that i like to go back up the other side and blade it out once more to make that "layover" crown a little less defined. If that makes sense. Lol
    Almost seems as if the one lane has a slightly higher elevation than the other lane, or am i just being too picky? Lol

      Happy you enjoy the videos and it’s maybe a little bit off center main reason for that is I’m running my blade straighter then normal to lay all the material back down and you could definitely make another pass but I guess I’ve never done it I get enough traffic they pack it in pretty quick so if I leave it high in middle it will get pushed down in the first two days so I don’t worry about it my roads are drying up pretty good still have a few sloppy spots but getting better. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

    Have you ever cut the wash board out by going meeting the traffic the opposite way they drive

    • @graderman140m
      @graderman140m  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I do that all the time makes a big difference also I can blade going against traffic here in South Dakota so I do go against traffic a fair amount of the time

    I haven’t bladed yet this winter, we had 7” of snow all winter. I don’t want to jinx it. As soon as I blade I’m sure we will get a snow storm.🤷‍♂️

    Hello Mr GraderMan !! You sure make it look good Sir !! I believe You explain the process better than anyone , i seen ,. Thanks , wish i had the chance to learn from You , I never had an exact routine , i guess , but knew what the end results should be . Not making excuses but here , we have leaves & pine straw to deal with , which is or was a pain to deal with , i guess my blading days are over now . I have worked in two different counties here & some of the comissoners thinking , like one told Me that they didnt do any blading in winter, as in You dont disturb on break the crust. which to me if it potholed or wash board it needs blading . but some here in this county would rather do what they call pot holing , filling the pot holes with material by hand , which to me is silly , its a temporary fix that dont last long have a good one !! Keep up the Good Work!! i always enjoy watching Your videos , Take Care

      Good morning I happy to hear that I do a great job explaining how I do things hopefully you and others can learn from my videos on here I really enjoy doing them to help others and don’t worry on the excuses we all have our challenges on our roads to work with I normally don’t get a chance to grade roads in winter but if road is rough and the weather is nice I don’t have a problem grading them thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    I got to blading over here in Idaho and got pissed and took my wing off. I fear I’m going to make it snow now😂. I hate not being able to see with my tower right in the way. Always it’s only a couple hours to put it on and off. Take care

    When you say cut the road out after making that second cut pass, before laying the crown back in is the road flat all the way across? Or not quite?

    • @graderman140m
      @graderman140m  7 месяцев назад +1

      When I cut it all out the road still has around 2 to 3% of crown in it you just make suer you cut all the wash boards out so you can’t see them when I say relay the 4%crown I’m using all my cut material to rebuild the crown again hope that makes sense

      @graderman140m perfect explanation! I'm doing the same thing here in Minnesota. Expecting about 2 inches of snow tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. Thank you for the expertise!
