It looks like DNDBEYOND has announced that the Dark Tides of Bilgewater content will be archived permanently on August 10th. Some wonderful people have created a PDF version of the content to access it after that time. Here is the Link to the dndbeyond original location www.dndbeyond.com/sources/lrdtob and here is the link to the PDF homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/76tQWEDr4 Hopefully something will change before Aug 10th because this content is really awesome. Thanks for watching!
@@nekrouni8497 yeah but what sounds cooler having a tail or the capability of grappling 6 enemies then (if you're sailing) diving into water and drowning them
Got one of these written up as my backup for the campaign I'm in now, seemed a perfect fit for a tortle. High AC, with features in the subclass to increase my own movement whilst limiting the movement of others, and with the right feats, multiple targets that can be grappled and damaged over multiple turns whilst I'm still smashing shit up with my maul. Since it isn't on D&D beyond anymore, I had to find it in the homebrew section of the website, but it works exactly as written and it's looking super fun.
I know this is based off of league of legends but I couldn't help thinking of Roadhog. The pulling hook and the ability to heal yourself on demand is so Roadhog
This is freaking awesome I can imagine maybe an echo night fighter multi class with this monstrosity all of the field movement and crowd control possibilities are endless
I really want more lol character in DND and for the some of the critical role cast to play the characters. Like Liam O'Brien as yasuo and Laura Bailey as miss fortune.
I'm currently playing a PotD Barbarian named Gorgak, and he's level 13 (cannot wait for that Depths Charge) and I wanted to thank you guys for this video! I have not thought about using my appendages in such creative ways. I'm going to be surprising my DM tonight. Or frustrating. Either way it's a win for me. Thank you guys again! And yes. I hit the button. It was super easy. XD
bonus action grapple 2 creatures with a bloodline of zariel feral tiefling that took the barbed hide and grappler feats and the unarmed fighting ua fighting style from a fighter dip. Very questionable as to whether or not a dm will let you use it, but you can grapple and restrain 2 separate characters from a range in one turn and do a bunch of bonus damage on them while the gapple persists
The hook thing that lets you pull, in the game nautilus uses it against walls to pull himself could be something to talk to your dm about in case you do use this but the water teleport thing is there so :p
An astral self deep barbarian echoknight with polearm master and sentinel... is there anything I'm missing? A level of war domain cleric or a background that could give access to another appendage? Probably go with great weapon master, sentinel, and pole arm master... Definitely ask DM for the shadow dark gift at level 1... hm...
Personally I believe this class best shines as a grappler so the best race for doing this (also it will fit well as just something natural for the race) is the Simic Hybrid, since you'll get the aquatic race option at 3rd lv from the class and usually you won't be falling all the time I recommend the option that allows you to climb your walking speed as you'll definitely get more use out of that. At lv 5 you can get the first step for this amazing grappler the grappling appendages which give you 4 arms to grapple with. At 10th level you get some options for stuff from your subclass which I recommend getting your upgrade for your pulling feature so that if they get pulled they're grappled it also gives you 6 total grappling appendages even better if you're on a boat because then you could just jump into the water holding onto 6 enemies suffocate them and then teleport back onto the boat with your 6th level subclass ability since you're touching water
August 10th as of today it is to be pulled. Hopefully something can get worked out between now and then. Otherwise there’s getting a PDF version made by some reddit users as an alternative option :/ thanks for watching!
@@URGE i heard some people are going to make ot public on the homebrew section and if you choose the subclass now it won't be affected. I really love the renegade so I hope that wizards 🧙♂️ of the coast bring it back as cannon.

This is amazing, Im actually playing Nautilus in a DnD campaign, so this is amazing.
Step 1: pick Barbarian
Step 2: pick this subclass
Step 3: pick Simic Hybrid with Grappling Appendages
Step 4: ?
Step 5: profit
Literally me
Appendage-based character:
Simic Hybrid, GA (Arms, Legs, GA)
Draconic Bloodline sorcerer (Wings)
Beast Barbarian (Tail)

Lucas Ramey this subclass is still really cool, but anchors aren’t appendages, even if they’re coming out of you.

This is thematically EXACTLY what I was looking for for a genasi character I'm looking to make
*Big daddy has joined the chat*
Misty step being one of my favourite spells I love that the ghost water dive us unlimited uses

Now to double down with a Simic hybrid path of the depth barbarian

Broken combo teleport with boots of striding and springing
Imagine playing this with the simic hybrid as a race. I feel like that could be fun
Button pushed good sirs! Also loving the beards and content, keep it up!

Deep water dive is I think a skill from Pyke right?
It’s his W and his passive is gift of the drowned ones :) thanks for watching!

That part is based on pyke
Can't wait for the renegade. I hope they get brought back or made cannon

Looking forward to see the other League of Legends inspired subclass for rogue and fighter.
Please review the swashbuckler rouge subclass

You can use them as a template when making homebrew on D&DBeyond, so it is possible to just copy them all quickly to keep them.
Thanks urge
Kinda reminds me of Venom...
Can you grapple with the extra appendage at 3rd level if you don't use dredge line ability or is the appendage only for that ability?
It is only for that ability.
