Further to the point of exploration being the best way of getting ahead in TDU - I'm coming up to the end of day one of the post-beta early access version of the full game, and already have over 50% roads discovered, which has translated to over 2.7m credits earned, driver level 20, one vehicle purchase (buggy) and zero races needed so far
@HSGAutomotive ok great, I'm not bugging then lol. I really wished they could add this feature in Solar Crown but with the lack of ANYYYY NPC's walking the streets and no real talk of adding such a baseline thing, I'm not sure how that feature would work. I guess it could technically if they just put spot markers on the ground to drive in/up to but, there was something really special about driving up to a person on the street and interacting with them to give you said mission. It just felt normal.
Does anyone know if it's the 5th or 6th of September when the Gold Edition will have early access? I can't find an actual date, just that there is a 7-day early access
Regarding the cash in comment saying to bank early. I have to disagree with you there. You can only bank so many times in a 24 hour window. After that you will not gain anything. It would be better to set a target of 15 grand or higher and if you crash and ruin it. Carry on again. The cash in limit only applies to you actually cashing in. You can drive around for 6 hours or so and manage 10 cash ins at 15k and crash 100 times stopping your frim. It doesn’t matter. You are not penalised for losing the frim bonus. You are penalised for cashing early
I was wondering, I can't seem to change the handling. The steering sensitivity for example is what I'm struggling with. Even when the car is stationary, the wheel barely turns. What handling settings/setup do you reccommend/which setup are you using? The car doesn't need to turn on a dime, but it does need to feel smooth when turning. Right now, it doesn't feel like that. With the default settings, it feels like I'm driving a boat.
I haven’t tested them all, but on mid tier stuff the Nissan GTR is usually a strong bet, and higher tier the Lotus Evija is pretty OP in my opinion, as long as top speed isn’t as important being an EV, but that may have been hypercar rather than supercar iirc
The buggy is an interesting one. In the next fest demo it was quick but i found the handling absolutely awful to the point where i bought another SUV which i was not planning on doing. Not sure if the Porsche was faster but it was much more fun to drive and felt faster because of the handling. I think the physics has changed a decent bit between then and what you've been playing so it might be better nowadays.
I’m playing the release version now and free roaming is still the best overall way as in point one. By the end of day one yesterday I had over 50% roads, zero races done but driver level 20 and over 2.7millon earned with tons of wrecks found
Yeah they've bumped virtually all prices up and down compared to back here in the beta, which is cool. TT and the Buggy both cheaper, and excellent purchases
Is that clip with the buggy was that from the VIP beta because that steering looks atrocious because it's like you turn and it just snaps back forward immediately just from that alone if it's from the current build then I might just cancel my pre-order
Great tips but remember the beta isn't the final product. Physics will be changing a fair bit and I'm sure the grind will be alot more in the full game. Hopefully rwd cars are better. But goof vid all I'm all😊
@HSGAutomotive Was that before the video or after? Just thought would point what I said out as the physics for rwd cars abd what not would be better in a later build But hell yea. I can't wait to play on the 5th.
@@KLZ180 no worries, some things have been altered like vehicle prices being higher or having to reach a certain level to buy them, but overall the same advice applies 👍
@@HSGAutomotive I hope the restriction of 10 times cashout will be time limited. Because u can max it out 650k credits in the beta. Every month the FRIM payout should get a reset
Better to focus on getting ten good cash outs early in the day by selecting a good car and location before moving onto other activities and ignoring FRIM altogether.
@@HSGAutomotiveMax level FRIM (level 10) is easy to get, you can literally do it with a beetle if you want to, you don’t need to go super fast, just maintain above 200Km/h and go up and down the highway and in about 10 minutes you’ll get to max level
During bata you only got 10 chances Not sure about the full game though if not I would disabled it as I would find it pointless and just remap the key to one of my turn signals 3:14
With the wreck vehicles how do you know for 100% it's gonna be in the finished game, you can't, tye beta was an old version not what were having inlaunch, Personally I'd of waited to put this video out
only problem I have is that you need to pay Sony a monthly subscription fee to play the game 😂nice try Sony not gonna happen , I'd be much happier with a Test Drive 4,5,6 Remastered Collection that plays offline
Wait, the game is fully blocked behind PSN paywall? Even GT7 without PSN can play online time trials, and even GT7 going offline still offers Music Rallies for some quick race.
I'll probably never get SC unless it goes down to like $10. Car games are in a massive crisis. Nothing is being advanced or innovated. No one is bringing new features to the genre. Its all aping the exact same Horizon formula, which wasnt that interesting or engaging to begin with. I genuinely didnt know about the wrecked cars thing or the skillpoints in this game until this video. But why wouldnt they have that? Horizon has it. I dont necessarily think it shouldnt be in the game, I just think its even further evidence that all of these open world racers are trying way more to make the same game then make their own game.
Unfortunately it’s happening in most things it seems. Games, movies, even car design. Not to blow up the internet but it’s almost as if we started putting people into jobs based on something other than actually being good at it…not sure what that could possibly be though 😗🎶
A lot of features, like the wrecked cars and free play point banking system were in Test Drive before they were in Forza. TDU 2 was out before the first Horizon game and had both of those things. It’s the other way around. Horizon copied those features.

Great vid with some good tips. For me, I will try find all the wrecks myself, exploring and finding the wrecks that way is the whole TDU experience.
Ok that buggy yeet was kinda fire tho lol
Do a barrel roll!
Would be fun if they added jobs like picking up people or packages
I feel like a Taxi-esque service WASSSS in one of the TDU games. 🤔 Maybe I'm imagining things. But if they weren't, that'd be PERFECT

Does anyone know if it's the 5th or 6th of September when the Gold Edition will have early access? I can't find an actual date, just that there is a 7-day early access
The shifting thing is called short shifting. You gain more traction shifting up sooner to eliminate the wheel spin. F1 drivers do this a lot.

The shifting up a gear reminded me of the tvr speed 12. Need a hundred gears before that thing stops spinning its wheels in gt lol
what would you recommend for the supercar class? just got upto that point, bought the 570S, not that good

Is it steering wheel compatible as I noticed that there was some walking around the showroom
I believe so (when the servers are fixed at least) but not sure how movement works in walk mode tbh
