Your comment lowered my expectations. I expected some young kids doing “their best” on a song from another time. Umm WOW. My only negative takeaway is there is too much greatness on such a tiny stage.
I remember getting thrown in on a set with the Queen City big band, and TRUST me when I say it's scary as hell until you get swallowed up in the music. Then that click happens and you forget you're even on a stage. I honestly remember pure shock when the tune was finished and there were a bunch of people looking at me. Music is a beautiful thing!
We need more schools like this. Kids gravitate to music and having a place to learn 'both sides of the glass would do more to lower the crime rate than any law. If this had been available to me 50 years ago - I would not have spent 3 years in prison. Music was my life (and still is - I now have a home studio), but there was no way for me to express my love so I sold some dope tp the wrong man and did my time.
I love this version, of the song, and I like it very much, that young boys enjoy and play classic rock, the girl who sings has a very good voice and the young man with white guitar plays very well they are both the best but congratulations to all, keep it up and go far ...
Bravo! Huge Kansas fan. It's so awesome to see the youth of today performing such amazing music. Guitars, Bass, Drums, keyboards spot on. If there weren't females singing, I might actually think it was Kansas. You did the Kansas boys proud.
This isn't about professionals, these are kids. They are playing live here&aren't using auto tune. Most pro bands these days on stage are so mixed, autotuned& packaged might as well be listening to an mp3. Other thing these are kids who supposedly are slackers, etc etc...hate to tell you it takes a lot of practice to get to this level, takes a lot of guts to play live. And the energy they bring is cool too. Lot if pro groups phone it in, these kids give their all. Very few of these kids are will go into music professionally, but will take this into their lives, guarantee that.
Living the dream. Doing what you love should never feel like work. Sure you have to work at it to be good, but when you dread going to practice, that's when you need a break. Rock on
I think that is funny that they have 49 thumbs down. So there are 49 people who think this is not impressive? So either they have no knowledge of music and what it takes to produce something like this or are totally tone deaf. The kids are AWESOME!!!!!!
My son attended a School of Rock summer camp for two weeks and had a blast. The impromptu jam sessions, the instruction and the other talented kids made it a fun experience. The concert at the last night was really cool. Kids just having fun what they are doing.
Hello, I am glad that the kids are keeping up with a great tradition. Obviously the teacher is doing a wonderful job not to mention the performances they are pulling off. THESE ARE DIFFICULT SONGS!
Holy Shnikeys!!! There even better Live, I watched the Studio version yesterday, and then this version came up today, Man if was walking down the boulevard and heard this spill out of the Club, my ASS would be IN LINE and Pay the Cover charge to get in and check this Band Out!!! You young Musician's are nothing short of ROCK MONSTER'S carrying the Mantle of ROCK upon your Shoulder's as the Golden Banner Waves, Striding upon the Earth! ROCK ON YOU MILLENIALS...... ROCK ON. 🎸💚
Well done. School of Rock: Not enough stage for these intense young guitar players. This is 3rd cover I have viewed, all with different female dancing bass players. I think dancin' bass players are totally cool I am an old dude (brn) 1956. Seen most of the changes in R&B, country, rock & bluegrass. Good to see young people playing, carryin on the music. Hopefully without the alcohol & other drugs that killed so many of the rockers from 60s, 70s 90s, 90s.

I honestly enjoyed to listen this cover very much! Congratulations, well done everyone ;)
There is a 'studio' version of this by an 'all star' SOR group, look for it on this channel. The whole thing is a killer, the girl signing lead has a great voice& you feel like she is telling a story. Amazing in q diffreent way.
Great cover! I've seen Kansas live and this was near perfect. Lead vocals were weak, but she gave it her all. Chorus was excellent. Instruments were spot-on! Good job!
When you consider all the things going on in this song, quite an accomplishment for such young talent. Lead singer struggled at the start but I think it sits too low in her range and she can’t really make much happen. Definitely makes you appreciate Steve Walsh’s mad vocal skills.
@@TronciM She is. I always find it interesting how School of Rock will many times have a female cover a male voice. I wonder why that is? I have my hunches, but nothing based in fact.
People need to realize that these are kids, not seasoned professionals, hence the name 'School Of Rock'. Best wishes go out to them.
Very good point and with that said as someone who grew up on 80's music, they nailed it.
Kevin Nelson the oldest is 18 but most of the kids are 16. Pretty good talent for that age!

Right? Using the standard set by the talent show at my school, these kids are already absolute legends.
Your comment lowered my expectations. I expected some young kids doing “their best” on a song from another time. Umm WOW. My only negative takeaway is there is too much greatness on such a tiny stage.
The drums are absolutely spot on perfect! Outstanding to all. I loved it.
Brian Madigan yes
Yeah great drum tho I’ll agree
Guitarist is super awsome to. This song is not easy to play!
Yes. Perfect.
I personally think they are great. It's fantastic to see kids today who actually know what good music is
Wow great cover! Lead singer seemed a bit reserved at first but really opens up in the second half! Kudos to all the kids. Not an easy song!
It's like a switch flipped

@@SamuelFister "...that click happens" -- yes, so awesome.
How do they get such a clean sound with that many guitarists on stage at once? Fantastic job.
Mike Gomes qqqqeqqxeqwqX a
Yes, but I nearly got arrested for it so... never again.
@@mikeg3439 hahahaha
Glad that someone noticed too. They do a great job in keeping this Kansas classic alive for younger generations.
It's called post performance editing.
That kid who did the first solo is killer, I'm jealous of his playing

That bassist and lead guitarist are really something, Good job everyone!

Thoroughly enjoyed this performance- great 👍! Love the singing and guitars are sizzling!
Great job. At the 1:39 mark, I liked that 3-way split camera angle. I wonder how it would look to have that for the entire performance.
Living the dream. Doing what you love should never feel like work. Sure you have to work at it to be good, but when you dread going to practice, that's when you need a break. Rock on
This team was blessed with a lot of vocal talent.
Still thoroughly enjoy this song and the singing is amazing
They are all so talented. I can't say which is better. I like all the guitars especially.
OMG thanks for the smile during these trying times LOVE IT cheers from Canada
I think that is funny that they have 49 thumbs down. So there are 49 people who think this is not impressive? So either they have no knowledge of music and what it takes to produce something like this or are totally tone deaf. The kids are AWESOME!!!!!!
They knocked it out of the ballpark! Awesome gig!
a classic rock song, done very well!
Very impressed! Outstanding cover from an extremely talented group! Don't stop reaching for the dream!

the best rock song ever.great job.keep on rocking.
My Daughter Plays with School of Rock. They teach how to play, sing and perform on a stage. And most importantly they are kids.
Hello, I am glad that the kids are keeping up with a great tradition. Obviously the teacher is doing a wonderful job not to mention the performances they are pulling off. THESE ARE DIFFICULT SONGS!
When I was their age I got to see Kansas perform this live in concert. Good job!
Nice to see young folks playing good classic rock keep it up. From a 60 year old rocker rock on
there still is hope for the younger generation...
This a great job on a hard song. The drummer really keeps a good groove!

Gotta love when the youth of today embrace rock classics. Great job.
Yeah Mark, I almost enjoy that more than the songs themselves.
Wow-those are some talented young people! Terrific job!
My favorite song...they did it justice
OMG, sensational, you kids sooo rock... TY!!!
I gotta say, I really like the videos from school of rock. They do a great job on the songs, even if the do look like they are convulsing!
Great band
I am a drummer. Drums are spot on like Brian said.

My god these kids are amazing! Gave me goosebumps!
I love this song when the Intro to Supernatural is this Kansas song. You guys do an amazing job on this song.
I don't know who teaches drums in the School of Rock program, but he must be a fucking genius! All these drummers I see in these vids are damn good!
Great cover! I've seen Kansas live and this was near perfect. Lead vocals were weak, but she gave it her all. Chorus was excellent. Instruments were spot-on! Good job!
Nice!
And nobody took a guitar to the face, either!
Well done, it’s fantastic to see young people having fun.
Loving all of their stuff. Rock on!!
Got this one in my SOR All-Time Top 5.
Incredible! Such a great version. 👏🏻🤟🏻👍🏻
Nice live version❤️❤️❤️
I love this song, which is familiar even in Supernatural,
and I'm watching it with support from Japan.
“If I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don’t know”
Impressive... just wow.
All those guitarists were having tons of fun !
Well done youngsters ! Kansas would be proud.
I liked it but I hear glimpses of of genius from the lead vocals STOP HOLDING BACK and let that voice run.
Kids covering classics... AMEN!!
***AMAZING thank you so much! What a HARD song to play and sing! You are all AWESOME! :)
I shivered !!!! AGAIN!!!!!
great performance - cool cover - and: watch miss bass player!
Damn it, now another season of Supernatural is over!
And now the series is over. 😔

Awesome cover! Amazing job y'all...
ADDICTED - great job 'kids'
The drummer is spot on. Really good
I wish I could like this video more than once!
These kids did not miss a f--ing beat. Very, very well done.
2:21 turning in the middle of the song that's niceee
There is hope for the future of music!
WoW,everyone...love this
OUTSTANDING!
Every complaining about there vocals and stuff in parts yes bit weird but they been only singing for about a year
When you consider all the things going on in this song, quite an accomplishment for such young talent. Lead singer struggled at the start but I think it sits too low in her range and she can’t really make much happen. Definitely makes you appreciate Steve Walsh’s mad vocal skills.
I just love backwards hat girl. She's got this thing called life all under control.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, good job by everyone.......
that voice!! amazinnngggg!!!!!!!!
IMAGINE the P.A guy trying to mix 200 people on stage
haha, I was thinking the same thing
Sam, Dean, give these kids the number to the Director of ‘Supernatural: The Musical'!
Vocalist voice sounds a bit shaky otherwise awesome cover
Sins Greed She ended pretty strong. Could have been jitters and then she got more comfortable. She did great.
Nerves. She's a good singer
@@TronciM She is. I always find it interesting how School of Rock will many times have a female cover a male voice. I wonder why that is? I have my hunches, but nothing based in fact.
It's too low for her range... Still a good cover.
The drummer very tight and precision. Phil Ehart will be proud of him.
i love school of rock..i am from java indonesia.......good job guys
Stumbled on this video. Drummer kills it.
You guys are awesome
Sam and Dean in the crowd nodding their heads.
Sam, 'Not bad, I like these kids."
Mad drumming skills!!!!
The drummer and the lead (soloist) guitarist are very good
Sophie you are AWESOME!
Wow 😍
What a polished performance...
Awesome!!
well done! Keep it up!
Team 6 across different years with different musicians seems to be the best - is it the same people running that team from year to year?
yeah thats a crazy tough song to cover! Great work
Rock on Claire!!
Super ! Thanx from France !
How many years does it take to play guitar like that?
Mad respect - gobsmacked!
A much better staging in this version than the previous one!!
And the lead singer actually hit the low note she miffed in the previous version!!
