There was a good Japanese goth band called LLOY. Their best songs were 吸血鬼 (Vampire), and Crystal Clear. You can listen to them on RUclips.
RIP The Soft Moon who died a few months back. Definitely made some good music for the underground and will be greatly missed.

Dear Ms. Danger, I want to take this opportunity to tell you how much I admire you, your husband and your friends for maintaining rock'n'roll subcultures alive in the 3rd decade of the 21st century. I graduated high school in 1985, and I simply don't see the subcultures today that existed back then. I'm trying not to be a crusty middle-aged Gen Xer, but all I see here in Winnipeg are people dressed in generic, brand-specific sporting attire, who listen to absolute corporate shyt. Obviously, I can't fairly judge Alpha, Zoomer or late-Millennial preferences through my own generational bias, but I believe most of the Top Forty - or what have you - product of the past 25 years is simply designed to help people shop. Honestly, I even miss Preppies...

Not sure if it counts, but the dark hard rock Swedish band Maggot Heart released one of my favorites of 2023, 'Hunger'. Really heavy and intense, but also very groovy.

Anybody remember the cruxshadows? Loved them in the early 2000s.
I had seen them multiple times, in 2xHeidelberg and (maybe) Leipzig.
They had wireless pickups & mics in HD and where going throug the audience multiple times.
They are a great live Band.

My favorite goth album from 2023 is PARADIGM by STRIDULUM! Also it's weird to think that Love Lines only came out last year! I already think of it as a classic!
Ghost of Bela Lugosi, Agent Side Grinder, Ash Code, Hante, Twin Tribes, Drab Majesty, Molchat Doma, Schonwald, Bootblacks, Rex Pistol, Werewolves Beware, Johnny Hollow, Kontravoid, Sixth June, Esoterik, Las Eras, She Past Away, Acid Bats (they changed their name to Bat Nouveau), and most Trad Goth bands are my go-to. Curious question, what are your thoughts on those in the Goth Subculture/Community who enjoy listening to post punk revival bands/muscians? I personally am a fan of Interpol.

I think you may be confused about Acid Bats/Bat Nouveau. They are different bands with different personnel and different style. One is from Mexico and the other is from Australia.

Glaring's "Shoegaphex" is probably pronounced SHOO-GAY-FEX, a combination of "shoegaze" and "aphex".
EVERYONE - do yourself a favour and check out Blind Delon's album 'La Metamorphose' - awesome post-punk/darkwave with loads of incredible features! It's a really varied record with lots of things to love. If forced to choose some favourites, mine would be 'Le Crespuscle' and 'La Violence'
Ritual Howls and Patriarchy stand out, not that ive listened to all these.
