- This video walks through step by step installation of Aqua Marine Deck non-skid flooring in our Cobalt 292 boat. This is the closed cell foam flooring that you see so often on newer boats and has become popular in recent years. We went with Aqua Marine Deck on this boat. But we have also used SeaDek and MarineMat on our two previous boats. So far the Aqua Marine Deck seems to be slightly better fitment and workmanship than the previous brands we used. In this video we were able to do the rear section of the boat. In part 2 we will be installing the rest of the flooring for the interior. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE so that you don't miss Part2!!!
PART 2 UPLOADED. You can view it HERE: • Video

Looks great!!!
Thanks!!
Looks really good! how's the confort and feel of the pad compared to seadeck and marine mat since you have experience with all 3.
They’re all about the same when it comes to the actual material and “feel”. No noticeable difference
@@NKPGarage awesome, thank you for the response, I am ordering a kit for my Cobia through aqua marine.
@@karimbadr242 That's awesome. The team at aquamarine was really great to work with. Very good customer service. Once you install it I would HIGHLY recommend you seal it as well. It helps tremendously to avoid having grease and dirt stain the flooring. I did pretty extensive testing with several sealers in another video and found the one that works best. What color option is the gray?
We went with "Medium Gray over Black"
Did you use a primer? Another video from Aqua Marine showed them applying a primer to the edges.
Nope. No primer at all. Just clean really well with degreaser. Then with denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. Let dry thoroughly. Then apply. I’ve done the same way on our last 3 boats and have never had a piece peel up
@@NKPGarage no acetone?
@@ChrisGolas acetone works well too.
@@NKPGarage thank you for taking the time to reply!
@@ChrisGolas absolutely. Good luck with it. Happy to help if you have any questions.
