  • I have no words to describe how much I enjoy these Hydrasynth patches, it makes me wonder sometimes if I shouldn't just sell everything (Except the Matriarch) and keep just it as a polysynth.
    If you plan on buying one, check out the prices on Perfect Circuit (Affiliate links won't cost you more, but will help me):

    Just purchased an Explorer to add to my home studio (other synths are Roland T-8, S-1, E-4, Korg ModWave and Behringer RD-9 & TD-3-MO with a KeyStep 37 as controller). The Hydrasynth is absolutely amazing 😎

      Hey David, do you recommend the Modwave and the RD-9? They are both on my list… the Hydra is a masterpiece. The explorer blew my mind the first time I got it

    It’s April 28, 2024 as I comment. I’m at the cusp of purchasing an Explorer for myself. It’s been 4 years since my last synthesizer purchase, a Roland MKS-70 module. Listening to this demo is reinforcing why this synth should be the next one I get.
    Also, listening to these sounds, I need to remind myself that the Explorer isn’t bi-timbral. It does so much with *only one tone!* (Correct me if I’m wrong.)

    I have a Yamaha MODX and I think this would be a perfect match. Very affordable at $600

      Absolutely, this is one of the best synths on that price tag I’ve ever seen

    Nice playing! Cool voicing. And yeah, I like the sounds on this too. Very clear. Lush without 'mushing together' the individual voices.

      Thanks man. The hydra is indeed on point.

    Super cool sounds! No an easy synth to learn. At the begining i wanted to sell it. But after a while i decided to keep it. Enjoy!

      Do you know any synth that is as powerfull but easier to learn than the Hydrasynth? I doubt it.

    What is the key bed like....quality or plastic crap?

    • @NGC0Music
      @NGC0Music  Месяц назад +1

      They are small, but very solid. You can press the shit out of it (you ought to, because the polyAT on this keybed requires a bit of a hard press). Better than any other mini keybed I’ve ever played

    the beat at 00:47, is that built into the Hydrasynth or is that being played externally?

    • @NGC0Music
      @NGC0Music  5 месяцев назад +2

      Externally, that came from Logic Pro.

    Sounds really full and analog, even though it's digital. Amazing patches. Does it have some interesting leads and fat basses?

    • @NGC0Music
      @NGC0Music  Год назад +1

      To be honest, I think that’s where it lacks more character, I did not like the leads and bass sounds i could get out of it, might be because I’m not very good at sound design, but I could get nice bass and leads with way less effort out of the Minifreak for example. So guess what? I sold the Hydra. But if I had no poly synth, and wanted a good portable synth for PADS, I’d definitely keep the Hydra, or even get the full sized one.
