the music sucks
One more that doesn t knows where the volume button is...
@@AlexModeling I actually like most of the music tbh
I find many modelling channels tend to have a good taste in the license free music available.
@@wdavis6814 thanks!
And so do you.
@@AlexModeling where did you get the swastika decal kit from?
The symbol is a piece of history that can’t be removed
It looks great 👌
Even as a Brit, you've got to admire the Bismarck. Great build!
I agree.
sorry for your *Hood* that was pretty damn lucky shot
I concur, Bismarck was the most beautiful American ship in the WWii
ASD HIC the Hood was British.
@@musardus I see, USS Bismarck Sea. Very nice ship.
I'm British but even I have to say that She was a magnificent piece of engineering and this model does her proud
Ah, yes, der " Haken kruze" or what ever. It was put on the bow and stern of German ships for identification for Luftwaffe pilots so they wouldn't get sunk by accident.
Корабли это высший пилотаж. Как всегда круто, и подставка просто фантастика...
Wow! Your painting/weathering techniques really bring the ship to life! You are a true master at your craft! Bravo!!!
Great job. I just got this kit as I admire historic fighting ships. I have learned a lot from all the great detail and weathering on this build.
Very nice model - thanks for sharing !
Just finished USS Saratoga CV3, 1/700 with PE, big mistake. First model in a very long time, to small. Going to try a bigger scale. You are the MASTER.
USS SARATOGA CV3 LeFevre too kind... thanks!
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Incredible tribute to the crew of that amazing ship, feared for the short time she was operational. Just astonishing how much tiny detail you gave it with not just the PE but your painting, weathering and that wonderful seascape Diorama. My hats off to you, buddy, just a jaw-dropping Build.
Thanks mate! I really like Bismarck! Thank you so much!
Love the build and great music! Thanks for posting.
Sensacional.....sensacional!!!!
Very nice. Unfortunately if I built this, those stairs and ladders would have been eaten up by the carpet.
THE CARPET MONSTER OF DOOOOOOM
Super build. Not gluing the two hull sections eliminated the heavy black boot stripe and actually improves the look of the ship.
very Nice Bismarck
well done
and very interesting vidéo thank you alex
Tremendo trabajo y mucha paciencia ¡¡ congratulations !! very good your maquette ...
A new video from Alex makes me smile right away. So quickly with a cold drink on the sofa and enjoy. For me, the scale would be far too small. 😉
Freakazoid aka Ben hey!! How are u?
AlexModeling I'm fine, I hope everything is fine with you. I just finished my Humvee and am now working on the diorama.
Go for it! Share it after!
AlexModeling I will do that! The video about the construction of the Humvee M1151 is already online. The construction of the diorama is coming soon.
@@FreakazoidakaBen hi
Subed to both chanels!
Beautiful job Alex, incredible detail in a small scale. 👍🏻🇦🇺
Posted at 2.19.19 21:50 The law regarding that symbol may be changes for video games within Germany if so, model kits may follow. As always nice build and thanks for the post AM.
Great work Alex! Always a relaxing video to view and thanks for participating :)
ModArt633 my pleasure and honor! :)
Great job Alex... Worth the wait.
Ron Cooke I tried to be fast on editing this one! Thanks :)
A stunningly beautiful build. Just wish my phone didn't keep screwing up so I could have watched it in one go!
So much detail.
UKscalemodeller ot has a lot of detail... reason why i stoped... but with a little push was worth it! Thanks Ian!
Excellent work as usual. I have some ship kits of my own but have been afraid to build them because I thought I would screw them up, but after watching your vid it motivates me to start building them.
Will save this for watching later
Cool ship
Great video and awesome looking ship.
Thank you Kim!
Just the right amount of weathering on a relatively new ship. Painting looks looks. You even tackled the tricky black/white stripes on the superstructure, very tedious but quite pleasing overall IMO.
Awesome result
I like thisone very Much Marck! Thanks!
Simply awesome! Well done!
bpezzano1 hey! Thanks!

Another Great build Alex! And the soundtrack is the top of the line! I could only wish my hands were as steady as yours! I agree with your take on the swastika. It is part of history that can not be eliminated or ignored. A symbol of what not to be!!! Again Alex, BEAUTIFUL!👍🏼
Alex you are a true master of this hobby once again you have blown me away with how amazing your models are.
Rodney Jaswinsky its just our hobbie mate... thanks so much!
😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤ I love it Alex and the end when shes on the diorama made me smile. well done.
Looks amazing 👍
Luke McElhinney thank you!
Very practical weathering technique! Nice work
a true beauty! very nicely done alex, it was a pleasure to watch :)
Hamilkar Barkas thank you so Much Michael! It is a pleasure to build Bismarck!
Very nice! Getting the Revell 1/350 soon, and am very excited!
Terrifically effective combined use of brush, stain and imagination. You've either got it or you ain't and you, dear friend, have it in spades. I appreciate your sharing of the skills you have-I've learned a lot is such a small space of time.
Thank you!
Extraordinario trabajo.. You be a MASTER 👏👏🏅🏅🏅
Beautiful ship
Thank you!
I've got the same kit . I've started it about a year ago. But it has been put to the side , I started other build's. But I'm getting ready to pick her back up and finish her. I ordered a wooden deck and Photo Ech parts. Your build is fantastic, just like everything else you build. 👍🇺🇸
Thank you
Brilliant work. Well planned filmed and edited. Very enjoyable and terrific finished model.
VooDoo Nights thanks!
Ayer terminé de armar un Bismark 1:350 ...es difícil, hay que tener paciencia y mucha atención .. es lindo pero difícil. Lo que no entendí fue como hizo las antenas. Le quedó muy bonito , felicitaciones
Outstanding
Mark Roberts thanks!
1/700 scaled ships are really challenging.. u did a great job on it.
Beautiful
it is an incredible work
It's ok if you don't use metal gun parts, I personally enjoy using the plastic guns for easy painting. And tried using tissue for the gun piece(the white piece, or what it's called :p) but it's not a good idea, And as a German model builder it pretty much sucks that I limit the use of swastika's :(, anyways! Good job! I loved the model.
looks absolutely amazing Alex ;-) really enjoyed the video, very inspiring you nailed it !!
Thank you! :)
Woah is very fascinating :D
Juan pablo Garzón Marin thanks Juan!
You model just like me keep up the good work 😊
Manoo trabalho impecável 👏
Obrigado. Abraço
Alex,
Very cool build! Also, I totally agree with your comments about the swastikas - this is historical modeling, not politics. 'nuff said. Keep up the fantastic work you do in all of your builds.
Thank you! :D
Awesome vid Alex 😁I just bought this now very inspiring I need to build it thanks mate have a great weekend.👍👍👍
The Bismarck would have had a bright future if it wasn't for the H.M.S. Hood taking a shot at it. Things might have been different.
I am speechless. Wow! Amazing work. So much details. I just found you 1 week ago und I love this chanel. Keep up your great works.👍👍
Great diorama. You got the water looking real. I would love how see how you made the base. The ship looks good with how you weathered it.

wow, good job bro, looks so amazing ;)
I've built this kit, alongside Trumpeter's HMS Hood and Prinz Eugen, all in 1/700. I build most of my ships in 1/700 for cost and space reasons, but I do have USS Massachusetts and USS Ranger in 1/350.
素晴らしい
I'm addicted to vallejo paints
But i do have 18 other paints as well from tamiya to revell since I'm a beginner i don't have that many paints but i do a lot of research when buying paints and models
Thank you for not being all worried about adding the swastica and making it historically accurate. Just saying I’m not being a nazi, I’m just glad you did.
I wish I have the same skill as you when it comes to painting the models
Ah yes good moosic good model good everything I even used this as a tutorial for my first model
マストは金属線とエッチングで制作しましょう。煙突のモールドを削って、ハンドレールのエッチングを取り付ければ、更にカッコ良い仕上がりが期待出来ます♪
muito bom ;
Gotta do HMS Hood now. Lovely build as ever
Amazing detail and attention to such a small build. Amazing work, about to attempt it myself. Also, how infuriating that they make you put the swastika decals in two separate parts. The world we live in
Good luck for your Bismark!
AlexModeling thanks man, but I know it won’t look as good as yours! I’ve only built 5 models before
The more important thing is to have Fun!!🙂
AlexModeling yeah I will. I just don’t want it to turn out like my revell Arizona, had fun building it, but the result was atrocious
Congratulations ... a true work of art.
I suggest mounting the Nimitz class aircraft carrier kit
Masterclass ! , I watched your Graf Spee building , but this looks as another level or two level high;)
Luk Exg1 And i have another Graff Spee from Academy also but with ALL the bells and wistles of PE for her! :)
So Keep up the good work ! It would be great to see your,s Graf Spee with PE ,it is very nice kit specially with Eduard ;)
I have the Eduard and the ensign set! And Aber metal barrels... and wood deck... very cool for this one.. she also deserves it
Great , i back to making models after 15 years lol , and get this Academy Graf Spee with Eduard PE and Kriegsmarine Lifecolor set , Master barrels also , It would be a lot of fun i think ;) So Like the way You built this Warships , Very inspiring ! Keep it work !!
Your awsome
Thanks
Excellent work mate, it's always good to watch a through master at work.
One tiny criticism if I may, and I blame the instructions for this, but the boats sitting on top of the two aircraft hangers should be facing forward. I know it would be a pain in the butt to fix them now, but they really are pointing in the wrong direction. That aside though, you really made a fine looking model there.
One question, how do you get those parts to stick together when you've painted them? This has always been a problem for me, and any advice you can give would be much appreciated.
Thank you for your nice and constructive comment... and u are right.. the biats are already at its correct position.. :D when i paint some pieces i always scrape with an exacto blade the contact glue surface were its going to touch the other piece.. that way the glue doesn t melt tge paint giving it that dirty nasty apearence! :D
joint of front deck is certain nice despite that mistake
Nice build! How do you know when to paint what part? Do you always paint the part before you assemble it?
I always work on sub assemblies... You have to feel whats better for you. Create your own work flow... Give it a try! :)
Amazing work and I really love it. I really liked how at the end with all the weathering and such! Quick question, I am getting a Italeri World of Warships 1/700 Bismarck and I can't seem to get some historicaly proper decals and a detailing kit. If you can help me find something like that, thank you very much!
I painted the dazzle camuflage myself as u Saw... On detail set... Try ebay... 1/700 Bismarck PE SET... But becarefull with the asian set... I can t read mandarin ir Japanese :)
@@AlexModeling Thank you very much I really appreciate that! I found what I wanted and even more, once again thank you very much Alex!
Looks impressive, however for me there's missing railings around main deck. Just as a final touch.
How many working hours did it take? How many individual shades of paint?
It had the raios but i admite that the CA glue Didn t helped and i Lost some of the main ones... Took me 20 days at a rate of 6 to 7 hours a day
Why the unfinished swastika?. You know the nazi's gave that symbol. a bad name but in other cultures it's a good symbol. The Nazi.one is.actally backwards . Hitler was a.superstitous man so.he abused this for. Nazi use.How ever nice model of the.DKM Bismarck!. Check out the 1960 movie" Sink the Bismarck!" .its great.
DKM Bismarck. 2/14/1939 - 5/27/1941. Sunk by Royal Navy.
My wet dream
Brilliant job Alex
Thanks Charlie!
I would have brushed on the wood to create a bit more of a weathered look, possibly dry brushing
THANK YOU!
God fricking dammit she was born on Valentine's day
One more reason for me to love this ship
He* not she
Hence why ive been drawn to it since i was a kid, valentines day is when me and my wife of 13 years got together lol, it was destiny for me to love this ship since childhood
Your weathering is a bit over the top as the Bismarck spent more time in Port than at sea. so the maintenance would keep up
You have also got to remember that she was only a couple of years old when she was sunk .
My personal opinion is to keep the weathering to a minimum for realistic affects
Sorry for the negative comment but I was in the navy and know that when your in port maintenance is keep up.
Your comment is not negative... thank you
Her decks would have looked very pale from the constant crubbing with sea water, dark wooden decks is a myth, after only few days at sea open decks would become bleached by the sun and salt water.
@@GrahamWalters I think your being a bit pedantic / Its a model for g**s sake . Allow some artistic licence.. The world is getting too grim as it is.
Best comment i have Ever read. The world would BE such a better place if some people just relaxed a bit
@@artdeco9535 chill pls bro
Where did you get that PE bending tool also I've been trying to find glue with a fine tip applicator any suggestions for a website I find some btw love the build it looks amazing
To aplly the ca glue i use a needle tip (yes) and a toothpick! You can find these tooks on ebay or your local hobbie shop
Great work, but I have a question...
I'm building another model from the same company that can be configured to be waterline or complete hull. I want to build her as a complete hull. I noticed you left off the lower hull for most of the build. Did you have to putty and repaint the area around the hull join?
Unless I missed something, why didn't you add p.e. railings? it would have made it really pop, still a beautiful job.
I used PE railings... however the instructions were in Japanese and the railimgs disn t filled the whole ship surface... so ionly used a few on the unprotected part... however i am step by step still puting one, and another :)
That 'Bismarck' model ship you build was put together very delicate and perfectly well made, "excellent Mate!".
John Reremoana thank you John!
Lubię twe filmy kto z polski like i sub
Please, I need some help. Is better revells model or the trumpeter model.(of a 1:700 bismarck model)? Thanks.
Well... i don t know tge Revell but opinions tend more to the Trumpeter one... i liked tge detail! Loved Trumpeter Bismarck!
the fact that your ao patient makes me wonder can i be patient as you
Yes, we all can
Great video, truly appreciate the thoroughness and attention to detail - shall be using as a big reference as I start mine this weekend!
Quick question I'm struggling to find an answer to: my kit is the Revell 1/700 - a Christmas gift. Do you know if any 1/700 photo etch set for this ship will be suitable?
Thanks again for the awesome video!
I used 1/700 PE set. However it wasn t for this kit
How do you work with such small pieces xD. Good job and beautiful ship 👍
How do you tackle those small pieces I wonder 😉, super job once again !
With a lot of carefull!!😂😂
You should try the Flyhawk model (the Deluxe one) it have much more details than this one... it’s insane
Which kind of roap did you use in the end?
Rust on the Bismarck? The Lifetime from the Bismarck was not long enough for Rust!
OMG!
question, is german grey good to paint the hull?
I agree with you Alex. Too many people these days in my country try to rewrite and whitewash history to suit their interpretations and agendas, but if you do that, where are the lessons learned? And who will teach them? But as to your Bismark build, being a U.S. Marine I have from time to time have had occasion to be aboard ships and one of the biggest complaints from sailors was the constant maintenance and painting while at port and never enough shore liberty. And the Bismark spent more than its fair share in protective port so it would have had minimal wear and tear. Also, I believe that the Swordfish that spotted it even mention that it looked like it had just left port it was so ship shape in Bristol fashion. Just an opinion my friend, not a negative criticism.
No problem my friend! To be honest i only gave a bit of wear and tear on the anchor and in some small points of the ship... no problem! HURRA Marine!
nice work sir, I have a question, How do you make the decal symmetric?
This build is amazing, how about you build Trupeter 1/700 model scale RN Roma
Usually, you have to paint before you glue them together.
What’s the brand of the white paint you used on this model?
