My boyfriend always asks me why I don't just do things digitally but it's all about the pen and paper and the feeling of permanence they give me. Thanks for joining the Chaotic Critic fam ☺️While I use my phone for running lists/notes and I’ve always been intrigued by digital planning, there is nothing quite like pen and paper for me.
I used to use a Palm PDA as my planner. It was great...until Palm upgraded its operating system. Then, the changes they made (such as the handwriting sustem) caused me to drop it because it longer worked for me. Since then, I've begun using a discbound planner because I prefer to use pencil and paper, I can configure my planner to suit me, and I like the half-letter size.
I'm switching to discbound for my 2021 bullet journal and you've definitely given me something to think about! I didn't realize how much bigger half letter was.
Hi Lauren! The half letter compared to the mini is a pretty decent size difference. Both are great to take on the go. If you're looking for more space to write, I'd definitely suggest the half letter. For an even more compact option just to keep lists and reference info, the mini is great. Thanks for tuning in!

It is important to use what your comfortable with 😊. I am not a digital planner, love my pen 🖊 and paper 📝 too much 😆. It’s ok to have separate planners or books to house different things😁. You gotta be you💕! Thank you for sharing, take care and stay safe 💗🤗!

Yes, it’s B6 sized!! I had my mini inside of a B6 wide TN and that allowed me to use a monthly TN as well. Ironically, I just downsized to a Filofax pocket rings during this pandemic. I don’t have a lot going on now and it’s perfect. I hope it works out for you!
How you feel about combining b6/bullet journal size and discs is how I feel about combining the composition notebook size and discs. Classic HP is my solution for that. I put 6 months of the planner in and I add almost a full set of happy notes so that it's just as much of a notebook as it is a planner. I eventually want to be able to find the clean and minimal inserts and covers for that size but its hard!
