Hey people,
Went for one of the All- Time Classics. In the original song the rif played by 12 strings electric guitar, so I tried to imitate that sound on my 6 strings Martin :)

My mom was killed on November 3, 2007 at the age of 23 when I was a year and 4 months old . My grandma and grandpa adopted me because my dad was off doing drugs and have raised me for the past 14, almost 15, years. In 2020 my grandpa was diagnosed with cancer. On April 20, 2021, he passed away at the age of 64. In August of 2021 my grandma got COVID. She was perfectly healthy. But it was too much for her immune system to handle, and even on the most potent antibiotics, it couldn't fight off the sepsis. So on August 19, she passed away too at the age of 61. This song reminds me of my mom and my grandparents and how I really wish they were still here. So there you go. That's my sob story.

We all lose loved ones. It's a matter of time. There's nothing we can do about it. But. We can pick up the guitar and write a song about how it hurts us. how we worry. As we love. No one can take that away from us! Take action!

He's not playing it right, it's played on 2 guitars, rhythm and lead.
So did I...but I played along with my guitar just doing the rhythm guitar part. My friends are happy I can even do that after losing all left-handed coordination because of a car wreck and having my right brain hemisphere damaged...I miss my parents very much(my dad died in a hospital with my famiy and me by his side, then the following year my mom was murdered by her next-door neighbors). You get tired of losing people all the time.😢

FOR YEARS I DOUBTED MARTINS IN GENERAL....I finally got a 000-Custom Shop w/baked top! The Addy top is VTS heat treated, and the thing has Hog b/s....Its the nicest guitar I have owned! I really think the Custom Shop and high end Martins are so good, ever since around 2015 they have just really become great quality. I think one day I may own a Bourgeois/Collings but man I love this Martin!

@@articulafcukup I’d play both. If it gains a few scuffs and gig scars over the years then that’s fine. Each one has a story and a memory behind it and it’d only make you like the guitar even more. 👍

I've been watching since the 400 subscriber mark. He has come a long way. Always talented, always magnetic, but his overall sound has grown tremendously in such a great way. He's still true to the Yoni I found online years ago.

I try to keep an open mind and continually watch other musicians perform brothers in arms with an acoustic guitar on youtube, and Yani’s version is many levels above everyone else’s. No one else comes remotely close to his masterpiece. For an electric version, his countrymen Kfir Ochaion is king. If we could see them in a collaboration together it would be absolutely amazing.

The guitar work goes without saying, absolutely flawless. I really love the David Gilmore voice. I find this an impossible one to sing without a struggle. I particularly like the skat singing with the solos.

Great Job, especially on integrating the 'lead' parts with the 'rythmic' parts at the beginning, also the vocal improvisation!
I too am an acoustic/clasical/fingerstyle player, and I know what it takes to put this all together.
If you close your eyes and listen, you'll appreciate it even more. ... too many 'watching' music instead of 'listening'.
I would go further and say that 'listening' and 'absorbing' are pre-emptive steps to playing/singing.

Leave it to someone like Yoni who is obviously Israeli to appreciate Pink Floyd and look past Roger Waters antisemitism. I grew up in the 70’s and idolized Pink Floyd but as a jew also it pains me to this day even after going to recent shows Waters or the Wall. Sometimes it’s hard to separate artists the person from their genius work. And glad Yoni can appreciate the music and not just the man for who he is. A virulent anti semite
