As a mediocre guitar player myself I can tell you that he is not thinking about the strings at all. His hands already know where to go. He’s played this 1,000 times for sure. Muscle memory. For me this would be incredibly difficult. I would have to spend a year playing it over and over and still might not get this good. He probably thinks this is easy.

I am very pleased to have discovered Yoni's performance of SOS, breathtaking. This song is a song i have never tired of, ever, i used to play it everyday in the car for months. It is a very modest, understated feel to it but technically exceptional, i think Yoni loves the song, i would guess he picked his guitar up 1 day for a quick 5 minute 'thing' and got into SOS and probably happily plays away the whole day, especially when he had the basic structure. Alot, if not everyone else has 'looper' but i really wanted to riff and lead at the same time and this version has given me some hope. Thanks for the tutorial Yoni i will persevere.

Tnx so much guys for your lovely comments! It made me really happy :-)
I got many requests for tabs and tutorial. I'm defentley gonna do this soon. There's already an old tutorial for the right hand. You welcome to try it:
    ruclips.net/video/H8BY8LflKPY/видео.html
But before all this. let me tell you the story of this arrangement . Maybe things will get clearer after, and help you play that song this way:
I'm playing Sultans for many years. Like everyone I started with the electric guitar, learning all the riffs and of course- the solo.
But most of all I felt the energy of this song! There's something about the rhythm that pushes you forward all the time, and as far as I know it's unique to this song, there's no other song with that beat.
So, with that outcome, I started working on my right hand techniqe, cause I think everything
comes from the tight hand. And I found this techniqe which keeps that "pushing forward" feeling. You can see that in the tutorial above.
After I cought the idea, I started thinking how I'm gonna put all the riffs inside, so I was looking for an easyer way to do the chords so I can concetrate on the impotant things without hard positins. Capo 5 gave me the answer for that.
So, now i have my right hand working automaticly (and while knoking on strings I can still make a note, and it's really important in fingerstyle and in this song praticulaty), and I have my nice
capo 5, so I just took all the riffs I already know, and try to get them inside this patern. During the song most of the time, the riffs will take place while I play E chord (which is the A chord originaly, but on capo 5, it becomes an E) so the sixth strings is open, and no problem , just doing the riffs
with no further solutions to find like create more fingers on my hand ;)
Nevertheless, The solos were another story.. there I needed to pull other rabbits from my hat,
but we'll get to this in the tutorial one day.
So, thats about it for now. Again- tnx for the comments, I'm really glad you liked it, and Im sure that with some practice you can also do this!
If you have any questions about anything, just ask me here. Ill be happy to answer everything.
Have a great weekend everyone :-)
    Yoni
