    Marie, excellent as always. Thank you so much for helping me with the tough parts of these Rieding concertos. I love all of them and an on my 3rd one now. He is my favorite composer.

    Thank you for this video - I’ve just started learning this one, and this video helps so much. I always struggle with timings so it’s great having a reference to come back to.
    To any adults wishing they took up an instrument: it’s not too late! I’m 33 and I’ve been playing around 10 months, and I’m glad I took the plunge!

    Ich spiele immer den ersten Satz mit dir zusammen, um besser zu verstehen, wo man lauter und leiser wird und worauf man hinspielen soll (Anspannung und Entspannung etc.).
    Das hat mein Spielen sehr verbessert. Jetzt klingt es bei mir auch nach einer stimmigen, schönen Melodie.

    Fantastic performance and you have such a great presence with the violin, but I couldn’t really feel the dynamic contrast in the second movement. Other than that, amazing performance I always watch your videos for references on how to play these concertos!

    1. Frage : Wie bekommst du den schönen Klang hin? Ich übe jeden Tag daran und es klappt einfach nicht:-(
    2. Frage: Wie bekommst du den starken, kräftigen und lauten Klang bei 2:52 hin??? Das ist bei mir immer unsauber und nicht sehr laut:-(

      Hi - also der Klang kommt irgendwann, das ist schwer zu sagen. Bei mir kam das plötzlich mit ca 12 Jahren. Da hab ich aber schon schwerere Stücke gespielt - insofern einfach dran bleiben, das kommt! 💪🏻

      Im 12. Lebensjahr ;) aber das ist auch bei jedem unterschiedlich. Einfach weiter machen und jeden Tip aufsaugen, den dir dein Lehrer sagt. Über RUclips Kommentare und Videos kann man wenig unterrichten ;)

      We use Pirastro Obligat. And of course a wooden bow 😉 for beginners a carbon bow can be good, too

      Danke für den lieben Kommentar. Tatsächlich würde ich op35 empfehlen, das ist noch etwas leichter. Wenn es zu leicht ist, kann man ja schnell zu 36 wechseln ;)

      Yes slowly is the way. Use a metronom and when you are confident with a slow tempo then move forward with one point faster. This again and again, you won’t notice the progress and suddenly you are in the fast tempo ;)

    So do you think students on this level should be working on tone contrast and phrasing mainly or it's not the best piece for that and they should just focus on clarity, rhythm consistency and intonation (fundamentals in technique)

      Depends on the personal level 😉 some students are fast with the basics and can concentrate on the musical stuff and vice versa 🤷‍♀️ goal is always to master both ☺️

      A concerto usually has three separated parts, first is a fast or midtempo one, the second is a slow one ans the third a fast, virtuosic one. These parts are called movements ;)
