I think some people expect this to be like a lot of other stan channels whose point is to compare what you like to what you don't like, i.e. hype some groups and shade others. So they're viewing it through that lens and it's causing them to assign hype or shade to things you say, where none belongs. I hope people can appreciate your channel for the way it analyzes and uses facts to support your points -- points that don't actually boil down to "I like these artists and hate others." It's a given that you love BTS, and you have actually done a great job of being neutral and even-handed to other groups you've mentioned.
People seeking validation for their own opinions might not enjoy your channel, if that's all the expect to get. I think if people come here with an analytical mindset, they would be able to appreciate your points without getting offended. And appreciating points doesn't mean agreeing with everything you say, but it means understanding the choices you made and how those choices support your thesis statement.
I love your channel and I really hope those who were offended are enlightened by this video. More people can benefit from these kinds of fact -based arguments than they can from the emotional, opinion-based ones that usually happen among fandoms.
Thanks again for all your hard work.
    💜🙏

I think the main reason for the discourse is that many people use the term Kpop as something to look down on and that BTS is the only talented, hardworking and unique group out there and therefore the best, which rubs many people the wrong way because that isn't true at all.

Oh god, you do you girl!!! So tired of multis/kpoppies.. Not them coming to a BTS channel being mad that an army didn't praise their faves... Is it that hard to understand that armys literally don't like kpop? Yeah even I like one or 2 kpop songs but that's it ( and I can even specify who are they. It's "(G)I-DLE - oh my god" and "A.C.E. - Goblin", that's it). And there is nothing bad of not being army but being a multi instead. Just turn on your brain and accept that 99% of actual armys don't like you cause you not only throw BTS under the bus all the time but you also attack armys constantly if we don't praise your fave. And why would we? There is a reason we are not multis like you. We DON'T like other kpop groups, their music. It's that simple. And same way you are allowed to love other groups and being a multi, we are allowed to don't like any of this groups and only like BTS and other artists like some soloists in Korea and artists from other countries. It's that simple. Now leave army channels alone and go mind your own business if you can't even use your brain while watching a video thinking that if somebody doesn't praise your fave means they hate them. No boo, we don't hate your fave, we just don't give a F about them and their music. It's different.💀

For ex., the part where you mentioned that enhyphen stans believe that the group has good songwriters without a shred of evidence to say otherwise.
I see this argument SO MUCH with kpop stans.
"Oh my faves are actually talented...they just don't have the opportunity to show it" or
"Oh my faves are so hardworking even though none of those hardwork reflects in the end result" ...spare me 🙄
And the whole wanting a group to be praised simply for having writing credit is another dumb thing i've seen.

      I wonder why.
About the part where you said stans say, "oh my faves are talented, they just don't show any" is sooo true! It's like saying I DO have the potential to sing like Ariana Grande, it's just that I.. don't.
Talent is nothing without hardwork. Why because when no work is done to nurture that talent, it simply can't be used. If their faves haven't used their potential talent in their music, what exactly are we praising here? A talent that never melts down in music or stage? That's bs to me. At that point, you're just over praising an imagination or a thought.

I didn't have any problems with your last video at all. I thought it was insightful and I learned things from it.
I *do* have an exception to some of your terminology, particularly your distinction between "performer" and "artist." A performer is "someone who performs in front of an audience, for example an actor or musician" (Macmillan Dictionary), so yes, once they debut, ALL of these groups are performers. I don't have a problem with that. (If the only place you sing is in the shower... no, you are not a performer.)
However, the way you seem to be defining "artist" (only as "someone who writes their own music") is considerably narrower than the usual definition, and that may be part of why ppl were getting upset.
An "artist" is simply anyone who practices an art. (Webster's Dictionary gives us "a person who creates art (such as painting, sculpture, music, or writing) using conscious skill and creative imagination; a person skilled in any of the arts; a skilled performer, esp. a musical or theatrical entertainer." (I feel like you're limiting it to just the first part of that definition.)
If you're a singer, a dancer, a poet, a writer, a composer, a sculptor, a painter-- ANY of those people are artists, in their own right. It doesn't matter if a dancer or a violinist is performing her own work or Tchaikovsky's, she's still an artist using her skill, technique, experience, and creative expression to interpret someone else's work. True, there are many singers who don't compose their own songs. On the flip side, not all songwriters can sing professionally, and not all composers can perform music.
So yes, I would agree that singer-songwriters like BTS are *particularly* gifted, and are displaying another level of talent from artists who are *only* singers. But... those singers ARE still artists.

    • @rhythmelia
      @rhythmelia Год назад +4

Thank you for bringing this up - terminology can be a tricky thing, so it's helpful to define terms so everyone can be more or less on the same page in understanding. That was something I was wondering about too, the narrow definition of artist. Like, a lot of musicians out there in the pop sphere aren't necessarily singer-songwriters, like there's a reason that's a more specific term in English (idk about other languages).
Is there a term though, that differentiates between artists who, whether they are involved in the writing/production or not, at least have artistic input into what songs make up their discography and express their messages, and the artists who don't get to have that kind of input? Because I think Boracity /is/ making that kind of distinction and there's a disagreement of wording. Because for sure in my early years in a couple corners of the jpop/kpop spheres I've definitely enjoyed some groups where I was under no illusions about how much musical and artistic input my bands had vs the management team 😅

    • @glossaria2
      @glossaria2 Год назад +4

@@rhythmelia I'd call that maybe something like artistic autonomy or independence, and I think that *is* something she specifically touched on when she was discussing the management styles of different labels-- some offer/allow their artists more autonomy and input than others do. (My impression from her previous video is that this is NOT typically something that was commonly allowed in the K-pop industry as a whole.)
I'd say it also reaches into other areas, too, such as composition and musical production. Some musicians do get directly involved in that, others don't, but the reasons for that can differ-- from straight-up knowledge/ability to the sort of relationship they have with their label. And there are artists who don't write or compose (or who do, but not always) who still have plenty of input on a song's message or mood. In some ways I think the relationship between an artist and a producer is kind of like a writer and editor; the first person''s creating the content, the second person's helping them craft it to sound the best it can.
Actually, I think "The Astronaut" is a good example of artistic input, because they've told us a lot about how the collaboration worked. Jin told Coldplay what *kind* of song he wanted and what he wanted to say, Coldplay composed the music and wrote a chorus and at least one verse, and Jin wrote a verse and then a second verse at Chris Martin's suggestion. The "sound" is very solidly Coldplay's, and it's pitched a little lower than a lot of BTS songs are (which tend to be pitched pretty high). But the words reflect a lot of themes Jin has touched on before in other things he's written, so his hand is clear in it, too. Even if Chris hadn't specifically said that Jin wrote those verses (which he did), ARMYs would still recognize the sentiment as Jin's. If you look at the writing credits, it lists the 4 members of Coldplay, then Jin, and then 4 other ppl (including Chris Martin's son and Kygo, who was one of the producers).

A lot of this behaviour from kpop stans comes down to one thing and it’s ✨validation✨.
Putting artistry and artistic freedom (BTS) or lack there of (MOST of kpop) aside, unfortunately, BTS and kpop have something in common and that is that there’s a level of ignorance surrounding them in most spaces outside of the BTS and kpop fandoms. BTS receives the brunt of it because they’re in the forefront. However, it’d be silly to deny that kpop fans aren’t also receiving a level of degradation and mocking just for enjoying something others deem to be stupid based on racism, xenophobia and ignorance. Because of this, most Kpop fans are already living with a sense of defensiveness and a tendency to cling onto any sort of praise or validation, whether that be consciously or subconsciously.
Now, despite only being an army, I’ve explored the kpop scene on social media, including RUclips, just like I’ve explored the kpop industry and the groups it has to offer. What I notice is that there really isn’t many creators in the kpop space who stick to making factual and/or factually analytical videos. A lot of it is ‘opinion’ based. And that’s become a huge breeding ground for ‘hate’ to be passed off as ‘opinion’. Because kpop fans listen to people routinely rip into the thing they enjoy, they go into every single video in any way related to kpop that contains anything but gushing praise with the mindset that someone is about to fire off their ‘opinions’ and they end up getting overly defensive over an issue that really didn’t exist.
In short, I really feel like a lot of this comes down to kpop fans feeling like they’re backed into a corner. They already have to deal with being shunned for liking what they like, so imagine that space that’s already criticised and demeaned by the people outside of it becoming volatile and sour inside too.
People are just hyper-defensive because that’s the spot they’ve been forced into. What should be neutral opinions and what should be easily observable facts based on data and numbers are almost always overlooked in pursuit of sniffing out the shade that MUST be there somewhere because that’s what they’re so used to at this point. Literally everyone is against kpop fans from every direction… labels brainwash them and treat them like shit and then laugh their way to the bank. Most people outside in the real word are laughing at them because of what they enjoy (unless they got super lucky to have someone open minded in their life). And finally, the people they’re meant to be in solidarity with, other FANS, are also creating a hostile, competitive environment where the goalposts for what is considered ‘good’ and ‘worthy’ in a group are changed on a five minute basis depending on the person speaking and or what the herd mentality thinks in that moment.
And all that is on top of the fact that kpop is a largely superficial industry. What most of us would consider ‘real artistry’ is thrown aside in favour of corporately manufactured ‘concepts’. And it’s at the point where even things like self love, or self-production are manufactured ‘concepts’ in kpop. That’s causing a lot of fans to base whether a group is better on whether they write or produce songs… without actually stopping to analyse whether said self-produced music is actually good. Because bragging rights and superficial aspects are practically the be all and end all in kpop, even something as artistically based as songwriting or producing is now hollowed out and made into just another tally on the kpop fan ‘list of bragging rights’. You could have one of the most mediocre songs you’ve ever heard in your life and kpop stans would swear it must be good because it was ‘self-produced’. The bar is in hell.
And that’s the warped nature of the kpop industry. A phenomena where you’ve got hurt and defensive people begging for validation from fandoms they supposedly hate for things that are the bare minimum…… crazy 🥲

    artist, definitions from different dictionaries:
    - a person who works in one of the performing arts, as an actor, musician, or singer; a public performer.
    - an artist is a performer such as a musician, actor, or dancer.
    - someone who performs music
artist is an umbrella term for everyone who creates art. performance is art. saying a singer is not an artist because they aren't a songwriter as well is simply wrong.

an artist is someone who creates his own art by expressing his feelings and thoughts. it doesn't matter how he creates it, but if they are performing someone else's art (choreography or music) they don't fit this criteria, so they are presenting that art by performing or singing. it is not their feelings that have been brought out through the choreography or through the words of the songs, but the choreographer or the writer himself. I will give an example if my friend is a poet who brings out his feelings and words through writing. He is an artist, and he writes me a poem that I present to the public, I am not an artist, I bring his feelings to life by performing and being a performer. those are not my words, i didn't create it so i'm not an artist

Because kpop just means Korean popular music. Most of bts songs are in Korean so that means their songs are still kpop. I don't understand why this topic is so controversial. The fact that bts songs are categorized as kpop doesn't make them bad or typical. Kpop is so diverse and every group had it's own unique sound.

Their music is an art that transcends even classical pop, which in turn is recognized in world music circles. Get to know the creation of BTS with all the nuances, discover the messages and messages BEHIND the lyrics. Discover the cultural, historical and psychological message in BTS songs. A seemingly light lalala song will then open up incredible horizons and knowledge, understanding and yourself - this is true BTS. I feel like in an overall sense, fandoms just want to feel validated. Whether be armys or others. I am an ARMY who has had major impact from bts's music. From the shift in my mental and physical health, rediscovering my passion, using the knowledge from their diverse music in interviews and acing them etc. And I knew bts for ages. But only became an army because the period of discovery for me was purely and strictly being intrigued by the artistry.
But after their impact, I started diving deep on the industry politics around them. And if I understood one thing, just because you clearly like love or hate someone that doesn't mean lack of analysing.
Eg. 'You are just saying this because you are a fan'. But what if I became a fan because of the aspects am stating now?
'They are not the best vocalists or the best rappers'. But what if I didn't want them to be cause I might as well go listen to Celine Dion or Eminem for the highest notes or faster delivery. What if I am here because they deliver and perform the music they do wonderfully?
'Just because you don't listen to others that doesn't mean others are bad' But what if have listened to others and actively do but genuinely want to come back and listen to this one artist's music.
'They are only where they are because yall stream like robots' sure but what if I stream because I want to listen to their music. Isn't that the point?
'You just think they are superior to others and need an exemption' what if I have no opinions on whether they need one but do know other companies in 2017 were the ones asking for some kind of leave way for their groups but
the government was only convinced by bts's level of contribution and sending them then would be a loss which was literally why they got an extended period inspite never asking for one.
In short I brought up the arguments you usually see, and the point is fandoms love concluding. If you don't agree to every fandom then you are delusional is the attitude people inherently have. If fandoms really looked at things analytically they would have long accepted the impact and focused more on what aspects of the music, the management and the production click with people in a large scale. Music for a fanbase and music for the public to vibe to is different in itself. So if a group has succeeded in both then that is what should be analysed. And to do so you don't have to like or hate the group. So people need to seriously understand what analysing means.

I'm going to give my honest comment about this video and the last one. Whilst I understand everything that has been said, because as you said, it is simply fact that was stated. The main issue here is 'Why bring it up?' and 'Why does that make them any less than a family?' The video's purpose was to give reasons why they are not a Hybe family or why such does not exist, but what was the point of that? Sure, they are not exactly label mates, however they are supported by one corporation, and as we have seen with the picnic that they did before, some of them are pretty close. For example, Seungkwan from Seventeen and Soobin from TXT are pretty close as they have done a live together. Moving on...
The first opinion I will address is the issue of TXT and ENHYPEN... Whether they write their own music or not, or whether they are songwriters or performers, why bring it up? They are close, they interact a lot and I could say from the little we have seen of their interactions that they are friends. So I think thay could qualify as to being part of a family. Why does the distinction between their writing abilities need to be pointed out. As you have stated, its not a problem, so why bring it up?
Next, the point of Le Sserafim being handed their concept and how they are different from BTS who have made that 'concept' part of their story and music. Why bring it up? Its not like BTS weren't handed a comcept when they first started... They were supposed to have a 'bad boys' concept. In their first few years (like 2 years) they ran with that concept. They couldn't just enter the industry without a brand. They didn't start out with the brand they currently have. But they developed and changed over time. So why is Le Sserafim being handed a concept such a big deal as to use that as a distinction between BTS and them? If it's not a problem, why bring it up?
Next is NewJeans. You mention Min Hee Jin being a problematic CEO, which honeslty I 100% agree with you. But again, why bring it up? Cause what makes the HYBE family so unique is the fact that they aren't label mates, yet they get along so well... NewJeans is definitely a reaalllllly new group so their interactions with the rest of the artists aren't very common to see, but from the little we have seen like the Yeonjun and Danielle interaction at Inkigayo, they get along quite well, they respect their sunbaes and are also respected by their sunbaes, so why can't they qualify? Min Hee Jin is problematic but she has no interactions with the other artists, so why do her actions and problematic statements dictate the nature of the relationship between her group and the others. Why bring her up?
Next, I'm going to adress the 'Seventeen and others' part. I think there is a misconception of what makes a company family a 'family'. Usually, the main qualifier is that they are under the same label and they sometimes release music together. Another take I noticed you have is that, they have the same ideology for all the groups, which is what you adapted to disrecognise the HYBE family. But, I feel that the most important thing is not the label or the ideology, but the interactions between the groups. Their interactions despite not being under the same label is what differentiates the HYBE family from others. They dont need the same ideology to be a 'family'. "Music and Healing for all" is BigHit Music's thing. Not HYBE, so no other label has to follow that ideology. Thus, the HYBE family most definitely has the right to be a family and to be recognized as such. Also, you mentioned the fans of 'a group' needing your praise when you spoke about authentic groups, and while I recognize that you are not a fan of their work and thus don't see the need to praise them, you brought up the issue of authenticity whuch caused those comments being thrown at you. I'm not excusing the fans behavior, however I do not absolve you of blame either. You brought it up from the very beginning but felt it unnecessary to speak about that group and the other artists who are also authentic and self-made. From the perspective of the fan, it feels like you just want to make BTS look like the only real and authentic group in HYBE and they feel like its unfair. It is your channel and you can talk about whatever you want, but if you are going to do that you also have to understand that everyone has a right to interpret your message however they want too. A clarifying video like this one makes it easier to understand your perspective like it did for me, but you also have to expect comments like the ones you have been receiving.
Overall, I think the video was extremely unnecessary. The facts were true but had no point in being shared. The HYBE family is real, adorable and applaudable because they could choose to be business collegues and leave it at that, but they choose to deepen their relationship and that's what makes them a family.
Thanks for reading my verry long comment. Just to be clear, I still enjoy your work sometimes, and admire you for doing so much research. These are just my points from analyzing the video before this one. Borahae ARMY and have an amazing day 💜💜

      1. TXT and enhypen is under hybe since pre debut, comparing them is being fair comparison, she compared them to show hybe and it's attitude towards two groups, how hybe give TXT autonomy over musical direction but not enhypen, when both are deemed fit for debut then why TXT had last say on their music but in case of enhypen it is the ceo deciding what will be included in album, there is a difference,
To make a similar position:- in solo era all 7 member has different promotion but everything was choosen by themselves, v didn't write anything while jimin even make a documentary abt his production diary ,both can look like getting treated differently but last decision is their but in case of enhypen it is the ceo who has last choice ,

@@blossom6693 That's like saying your older brother got to make decisions before you and you're getting upset cause of that. Plus your reason doesn't justify the purpose of this video. That's my problem. What is its purpose? Is it to differenciate BTS from 'the rest' or is it to prove something that was not up for much debate in the first place? The purpose of the video prompted my comment.
TXT and ENHYPEN are certainly not the same in terms of songwriting, however if you paid attention, you would have known that they've been writing and choreographing their songs too. Believe me not even TXT can add whatever they want to their album, they would still need approval but BigHit Music is chill about that kind of thing. Hitman Bang has never been so controlling about what his artists release. However, ENHYPEN doesn't belong to him alone. They aren't under BigHit Music, they are under Belift, and Belift gets final say. So TXT are not the same so that comparison is unfounded.
Again, that is still not enough to disregard their 'family'. Family is beyond all those things she and you have mentioned

Some people may misunderstand or not accept the facts. It’s disappointing that people will watch a essay and not do their own research and just assume the person in the video is bashing everyone for stating them for what they are. They ignored your words and took them in their own perspective. Txt and bts had the ability to have creative freedom ever since they debuted under big hit. Lessarifim’s concept was given to them because the girls are aligned with that. New jeans label’s ceo took too much credit, she made new jeans success around her and I completely agree that she made it seem like new jeans didn’t get any of their own credit. I’m glad you made a video and responded to comments. Even if you didn’t have too. Performer also isn’t a bad thing in fact it’s what the K-pop industry is. I’m glad that you made it clear it’s a BTS channel. I’m looking forward to new content and i hope people can be more respectful as well in the comments. I’d also like to mention the part of fandoms bringing up the groups you mentioned besides BTS and wanting praise, as well as them wanting you to state that their song writing is good because they write it and I think we’ll people need to understand not everyone has the same taste in music. As well as it’s a BTS video essay, it mainly revolves around BTS because that’s what the video/channel is about and not much talk will be about more than it’s necessary from other artists. Also the HYBE family I totally agree that’s a marketing tactic because there all from different labels. The essay you made before explains that very well. Looking forward to more BTS essays 🫶💜

Thank you, I know how some multistans or fans of different groups can be toxic, but respectfully addressing them and clarifying your points is admirable. Thank you for staying strong, boracity. Borahae 💜
I like all the groups from Hybe labels and I really find no offense or hate in words you spoke on Twitter or in your video assay.

How i see this video is
    Bora : "I like waffles🙂"
Other people : "so you don't like pancakes? if you don't like pancakes stop talking about it🤨"
her words are wrongly impetrated and her opinions are taken as facts by some of y'all and that makes you butthurt. don't mix up facts with opinions because all these people were fighting with opinions and not facts. different people have different opinions so don't let what you believe effect by others but i 100% agree with every fact that she said. i personally have similar opinions as bora because i'm a "BTS pop stan" 😂 i don't think she disrespected anyone honestly. pls try to take the massage as it is. and you might not agree with her and that's completely fine but don't attack her just because your thoughts doesn't match hers, also someone will always be butthurt by anything someone do or say so we can't please everyone☠ so bora do what you do and armys will support you.

As a music fan my whole long life (I'm in my 60's) I can sense when an artist/performer is phoning it in, and not really engaged with their audience. That Is why I am such a huge fan of BTS, because they are so genuine and their lyrics are often so personal, and their energy when they are on stage or film is always there. I have been impressed by, and enjoyed other K-Pop groups such as TXT and Le Serrafim, because they also seem genuine. I really like New Jeans songs, and maybe it's because they are young, but they seem to perform in such a scripted way that I can't watch them. So for me, and all the musicians I enjoy, authenticity is key. My opinion is that BTS transcends K-Pop and most music being produced around the world today, which is why they are so popular.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and illuminating videos. Very helpful.

I respect your opinions but have some disagreements. Firstly, Enhypen r artists. An artist is a person who creates, performs, OR produces music. I capitalised "or" because u don't have to do ALL of these at once to be an artist. Furthermore a music artist can be a singer, songwriter, producer, composer etc. Enhypen SING, thus they r artists. With your viewpoint u r limiting what an artist acc is.
At the end of the day ALL groups are technically PERFORMERS. BTS r also performers too, because they perform their music. Also, not every single song they sing they wrote, produced, composed etc and even the songs they do, have other producers + writers on them. It's alot of work to do all these things whilst touring, working etc. So expecting them to do it all is pressuring. But that doesn't make them less of an artist.
Jake from Enhypen wrote lyrics for Shout Out, so r they now artists to u lol? Singing and writing isn't mutually exclusive. It would be a shame if we never had some phenomenal singers because ppl felt they had to write or produce even tho it's not their gift + vice versa for writers. I give props + more creds to those that do, but I wouldn't disqualify others as artists because of personal expectations.

But I also am a big fan of your channel and know you always do an excellent job in those video essays, so I did end up watching it and also agreed with all of your points. As I said, I personally love the "Hybe family" in the sense that they are participating in things together (e.g. game caterers, TikTok challenges, and also Suchwita) and can support each other, but you are 100% correct that this doesn't mean you can compare the way the groups are built and I agree that it's important to point that out. bora, i still disagree with you about how le sserafim were “given” the fearless concept. im not being toxic or a hater or a mindless kpop stan, but in their documentary if you look at the sentences on the board it’s things that they have said to their staff, which is then being interpreted into a concept that fits them. it had their ambition and their goals spelled out. their team took all those statements and came to a conclusion about what their group brand will look like. they didn’t just sit them down on a random day and said “this is your concept. take it.” with no context. they talked to them about their thoughts and how they felt first, because sakura and chaewon talk in that same meeting about how cool it is that their own words are reflected so clearly in their brand image. you’re saying it as if they were handed a concept like cute, girl crush, etc. when their brand is crafted to be personal to them. how is that just plainly being given a concept? i don’t understand. but that’s the only issue i had. maybe im wrong. but i feel strongly about this because it’s not often that women in the kpop industry are sat down and asked what they want their concept and brand image to look like, what their personal goals are as artists and idols. i think it’s a great step in the right direction and should be addressed as such rather than brushed aside as just being given a concept. their lyrics and music are tailored to their experiences which allows them to interpret it in a way where they feel deeply connected to the message they’re sending. i think that’s pretty nice. no hate. just offering my perspective!

i took a bit of a break from consuming any kpop related content (including bts related stuff other than their music) because i was so sick of the way ppl just turn off their brains and refuse to engage with content meaningfully. so many "kpop channels" or "reaction channels" or "knews channels" r really just after this "hype" factor and audience just expect mindless praise for anyone and everything. they'll celebrate the most basic level praise but the second someone wants to introduce a sliver of nuance they'll lose all media literacy.
obviously im not endorsing hate or anything, but is it impossible for someone to have a critical opinion of something and not react like they've attacked their very existence?? like i am ride or die bangtan for life but even then i can be critical of decisions they make, and even some of their music. if anything, boracity is exceedingly generous when it comes to talking about other groups. enjoying musical acts and having fun is great, but yall need to stop watching content just to validate your own pre-existing opinions, and instead challenge it and expand your worldview (with substantial evidence).

Your analysis is spot on! I don't think you can buttonhole BTS, they are comfortable in many different genres. I have never been a fan of pop music and at my age. I doubt that's going to change. I have listened to quite a few K pop groups. I rarely last through a entire song, not only K pop, but pop music in general. It only means that type of 3 chords or less music is not my personnel taste.
I refuse to listen or follow girl K pop groups because of the way they are treated, they way they are dressed, and look like well... not the point. I hate the fact that these hard working, talented woman are treated like sex slaves. It's gross and not for young people to watch. (I will say New Jeans seem to be different, and treated like young girls and not being exploited. I hope, as they grow they will become more involved in their music.)
BTS is BTS. The end. In 68 years on this earth I have never seen a group of any kind as good as they are. They are one of a kind. A gift for the world and a way to understand each other through music.
I got off twitter due to all the hate, on any subject. It's enabling bad and often times ignorant behavior. P.S. I do not hate any music group, in fact, I hate very few things in life. But because I don't care for something means I get hate too. I try to speak calmly to these people and explain myself better, when that fails, I say good bye and block them. Life is too short to get caught up in the BS. of K-pop fan wars. what nonsense.

Generally on this platform, you don't see many stans talking about the reality or anything related to the industry. A majority of stans on here want to live in the kpop bubble, being oblivious to facts so when someone presents facts in front of them, they get defensive. Plus, the kpop community on here rarely appreciates bts or when they do its always backhanded or something. This platform is essential for people to learn about tannies more and with actual facts that are lost in communication on twt and other social medias easily so I genuinely think that your channel is a great way to let people and newer fans understand what's the reality.

It’s crazy that some of these kpop stans are still in denial about idols not being artists, when kpop hasn’t been about artistry EVER. not in 1st gen, not in 2nd gen, not ever. the only reason anyone cares about it now is because BTS got huge because of the genuine emotion they put into their music through songwriting and production. that’s it. kpop has always been about visuals and performance in terms of the idols, and the songs are handled by the company producers and songwriters. it’s just how it’s always been, and I think the fact that fans are angry about it now just shows their jealousy for everything BTS has. you can enjoy kpop even if the idols didn’t write the songs. I do too, everyone does. it’s fine.

The fact that you even had to make this video is ridiculous.

Your channel are brilliant, there are not a lot of channels who do their research as thorough as you and speak facts and that is why I support you. There are but a few channels I support, yours and a few Korean ones that speak facts and don't make up stories to stroke people's tiny egos to appease them.
These people who get butthurt and feel so offended, usually don't listen to your opinion and the whole video and comprehend what you said, and are quick to start a hate crusade from their woke soap box and in my opinion are emotionally immature, and childish in their outlook. They usually make everything about THEIR opinion, and how THEY feel, it's all about THEM all the time. These immature people are fuelled by drama and expect everyone to attend their drama queen performance.

Fans wanting you to talk more about their group is ridiculous. You’re a BTS channel, so obviously you only mention topics that are relevant to *BTS* . It’s not that hard to comprehend, these fans are just playing dumb.

it's such an interesting thing to me that kpop stans are so far up the "writing their own music" argument (because it used to be so rare in the industry) that now, they're not willing to understand that not ALL songwriting/production is actually good... and they'd rather praise it all because, hey, at least their favs do it!! but are not willing to view it from any other perspective and actually look at it as a standalone piece of work, instead of an anomaly that should be praised whatever its actual quality is. i've found this whole "my favs write their own music" discourse - through which kpop stans have started searching for more validation for their favs from - started from armys always praising bts for writing their own music. armys have always openly praised bts for their artistic prowess because we know they not only do it, but they've done it on really deep subjects and in really high quality. some critics have acknowledged it too. but now, kpop stans seem to want that same validation, and companies have noticed that, which is why they give their groups these opportunities to write a line, at least one. it's ruining the whole conversation about artists making music in the industry because now you don't really know who actually has talent and who doesn't, but you also don't think about who gets way too much credit despite maybe writing/producing more. the whole discussion is ruined.
