    I did not know there was a site level setting for this! That's fantastic. I would assume it also applies to Lists? In almost every list I create, I turn that option OFF because I've seen it do some really weird things (date/time changes, cached data that won't clear without a full exorcism, etc.)

    It's great that it does that for sync and it then leaves the shortcut to onedrive option.
    Although you can then use that shortcut option,it soon fails as sync isn't on.
    Microsoft do really need to rollout the removal of sync completely and just leave shortcut to onedrive

    Great stuff!
    But if you wanna fully prevent sync scenarios from a given site you will probably have to remove the „add shortcut to OneDrive as well“
    Reason: most users will have the sync to their OneDrive enabled. So they’ll find their shortcut in the file explorer and they end up syncing again…

      I think Add Shortcut to OneDrive is the way to go hense hiding the Sync :)

      @@DanielAndersonAU when you do this it stops the user from accessing the shortcut from their file explorer.
