I agree, she is great, but it's most likely because she hasn't auditioned for anything major yet. If a director or casting director see's a video of good acting, they can't just cast the person, especially if it's not exactly what they want. If someone is great at comedy, but they are making a drama movie, you have to make them go through auditions. I also act, so I'm not talking nonsense

As an animator, thank you so much for mentioning us. Often people think that with mocap, its all the actors work, but they don't understand the hours that go into cleaning up mocap, or completely keyframe animating the action, in order to get it to look like it does in the final result
I have nightmares imagining the hell that the animator on my own project here had to go through to clean up my work LOL!! Portraying this character is just as much animation as it is the actor. Thank you for your work as an animator!!!

It’s so crazy watching this. When I was a kid I was very imaginative constantly outside creating my own world in my back yard, using sticks as pretend weapons, I loved it. But now as an adult I have such anxiety and fear of ever doing something like this, the fear of being embarrassed and looking “ugly”. You were amazing Michelle!

You, too, can take Richard Dorton's classes with The Mocap Vaults at gomocap dot com! Classes are held in LA and London, with occasional classes in Toronto and specialty cities!
Even with mo cap there's so much modeling, texturing, rigging, weight painting, motion tweaking, and rendering. Not to mention any motions that do need to be done from scratch.

Wow Richard Dorton is an AMAZING teacher, fight AND acting wise, but that doesn't surprise me, you always find the perfect people to surround yourself with; but I have to say you REALLY improved as an actress - during MK Ultra season 1 I was blown away by your dedication and physical work, commitment and results but found your acting to be lacking in comparison and sounding fake; here you were so much more truthful, deep, intersting, etc etc CONGRATULATIONS really awesome video all in all!!!
Oh my gosh I don’t have words Your acting is impeccable. Watching you do the final scene even without animation or effects made me feel like I was witnessing something so raw and real and I have no idea how you haven’t starred in a movie yet. The pain and emotions seemed so real that if I didn’t know that sword was plastic I could have sworn the entire thing was actually happening. You actually scared me with your acting, it was so good
I've never been more inspired by someone bc she is really the irl barbie and I love how she just shoves herself in things she has never done before and it shows to myself that doing new things aren't supposed to be scary but exciting and to be nervous does have an effect in how you perform but ultimately it's just new and fun and I love her and honestly want to be her friend she seems like such a genuine person ugh I love her ❤

I recently wrote a thesis regarding motion capture and the issue regarding who should recieve the credit when it comes to the actors and the VFX workers for such awards as oscars. As a VFX student who will graduate as a junior, I am glad that you showed how hard both the actors and the animators work for motion capture to work out and be successful! Animation is a very long process and does take a lot of work, but I do hope that the oscars will recognize mocap actors as real actors soon since it truly is! Great video, Michelle!!

The ending of the video was really fun to watch and amazing to see how the finnished product looked I can only imagine how amazing the whole peice would look the amount of detail you put into the transformation of the zombie was incredible but I have to say my favorite part was when you did the werewolf

The best part about your acting is you take notes into account and actually utilize then on cite. That is actually incredibly hard for some people to execute well and you did AMAZING!!!

She should try being in a marching band.. It’s very difficult and I feel as if she did this then maybe people will recognize the blood, sweat, and tears we have to deal with to put up with one show.
She should do band camp, then do drill for a month(you know putting the sets together), and then do a show with maybe a university obviously not at a football game. Marching band takes a toll on you 😂 WATER was a big thing
Oh man yes, I would LOVE to see her go through a season with a drumline or in any other marching band position! She could totally learn marching bass even if she doesn't play anything else! (No shade to bass drum players, it takes work to master it, I just think it's a good entry-level option for a newbie)

Even with mo cap there's so much modeling, texturing, rigging, weight painting, motion tweaking, and rendering. Not to mention any motions that do need to be done from scratch.

Wow Richard Dorton is an AMAZING teacher, fight AND acting wise, but that doesn't surprise me, you always find the perfect people to surround yourself with; but I have to say you REALLY improved as an actress - during MK Ultra season 1 I was blown away by your dedication and physical work, commitment and results but found your acting to be lacking in comparison and sounding fake; here you were so much more truthful, deep, intersting, etc etc CONGRATULATIONS really awesome video all in all!!!

Watching you do the final scene even without animation or effects made me feel like I was witnessing something so raw and real and I have no idea how you haven’t starred in a movie yet. The pain and emotions seemed so real that if I didn’t know that sword was plastic I could have sworn the entire thing was actually happening. You actually scared me with your acting, it was so good

I've never been more inspired by someone bc she is really the irl barbie and I love how she just shoves herself in things she has never done before and it shows to myself that doing new things aren't supposed to be scary but exciting and to be nervous does have an effect in how you perform but ultimately it's just new and fun and I love her and honestly want to be her friend she seems like such a genuine person ugh I love her ❤

I recently wrote a thesis regarding motion capture and the issue regarding who should recieve the credit when it comes to the actors and the VFX workers for such awards as oscars. As a VFX student who will graduate as a junior, I am glad that you showed how hard both the actors and the animators work for motion capture to work out and be successful! Animation is a very long process and does take a lot of work, but I do hope that the oscars will recognize mocap actors as real actors soon since it truly is! Great video, Michelle!!

The ending of the video was really fun to watch and amazing to see how the finnished product looked I can only imagine how amazing the whole peice would look the amount of detail you put into the transformation of the zombie was incredible but I have to say my favorite part was when you did the werewolf

The best part about your acting is you take notes into account and actually utilize then on cite. That is actually incredibly hard for some people to execute well and you did AMAZING!!!
