That's awesome Tom I'm so glad my video helped. That's why I do this to help people and it really makes my day to hear this. Thanks for watching and congratulations on the new griddle.
I subscribe to several griddle channels. Mr. Brunet's is the best. I've learned more from him than the other channels. If you keep watching, you'll keep learning. Also, get the e-books. They are very good
Ahhhh am I glad to find your videos a little over a month ago as my wife and I just bought a flattop and I realized how much I had forgotten as I cooked for a restaurant chain back in the mid 1970’s and I did the midnight shift. But in watching your videos has been a great help to remember what I learned back then sadly the chain collapsed in the 1980’s many years after I left them but cooking on their flattop was great as it wasn’t steel it was stone once we started the burners on opening day we never shut them off. Thanks for the help and memories.
Hey Johnny, Jonny here again. If you remember me, I just got the 4 burner few weeks back & did my first hibachi cook. Turned out great. Last weekend I was invited by some friends to go with them to Talladega speedway to watch NASCAR. They had two of these two burner griddle’s. The two burner griddle I was able to cook absolutely everything the big one dead, except for smaller quantities of food. We basically did the same thing as you but camping we did not have an oven. We just put inside of aluminum trays to keep warm.
Hey Jonny ya I remember! That's awesome and it sounds like a great time! Ya the foil trays are key, you can always set them near the fire as well when camping to help keep the food warm. Thanks for watching again brother. Cheers 🍻
Thanks so much. This is a big help for us 2 burner griddle folks. Have never thought about putting all the food in the oven while cooking the eggs. Keep em coming!!
Finally had a chance to christen my new two burner griddle (first griddle!) this week. We made reuben sandwiches, but the way my wife remembers her mom making them. Chop up canned corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island, and shredded mozzarella. Stir it all up into one gooey mess of a filling in a big bowl. Makes it a lot easier. Was a good experience even if the weather decided to get cold for it. Pick a lane, weather. Looking forward to more griddling, the kids watched a lot of these videos with me over the winter, so they are just as excited.
Congratulations on the new griddle!!! Those Reubens sound delicious and a lot easier. My mother used to make a chopped ham and Swiss like that. Ham, Swiss, mustard, mayo and poopy seed. Same concept you choo it up, mix in a bowl then cook. I'll definitely have to give your recipe a try. And yes I'm in Ohio, our weather keeps flip flipping too. I'm just ready for summer. I appreciate you and your kids watching the videos, I hope they help you make great meals for your family.
Great tips as always Johnny. I have the 2 burner Blackstone and made fajitas for a bunch of friends. That’s when I realized I needed to use the oven to keep my food warm. It worked out great, so it’s awesome that you are sharing that tip. I also find, depending on what I am cooking, I will alternate turning burners on and off throughout the cook. That seems to help regulate the temperature. Keep up the awesome job and sense of humor. Cheers.
Hey Lisa I guess I didn't realize that you had a two burner. Fajitas sound like a great party meal, but I can see you running out of space. And I totally agree about turning a few burners off. Even with only two burners I still adjust them during the cook. Thanks again for always watching. Cheers 🍻
Hey Andrew I'm so glad you've learned a lot from the channel and were able to use it on the 2 burner. Steve actually moved! I almost miss him, almost lol. Thanks for watching buddy.
i have a 17 in. black stone i made french toast eggs sausage. once everything was fully cooked, i put the french toast back on with the burner off. did a quick warm up served breakfast all nice and warm. turned out great.
So far I only have a 17 in. 1 burner . When lm making breakfast for my wife and I , I set up next to my grill. Turn one burner on the grill on low, put an aluminum pan on the other side of the grill and it keeps pancakes and whatever meat we want warm till everything else is done. Also a small pan of water over the low burner to keep thing from drying out
I love my 2 burner. I make a Chicken Vidalia onion and mushroom sub. Topped with provolone cheese. Finish with tomato’s lettuce and more Vidalia onion sauce. I got the recipe from Fat Freddys Subs in Ft Lauderdale.
Just got my first griddle, 36in bs. Going to season it up today and make breakfast for the whole fam Sunday morning ! Pumped ! Your videos are my guidelines 😂. Spotted a Rhinegeist truth in one of your videos and knew it was going to be a great channel
Hey man congrats on the new griddle!! I hope your breakfast turns out amazing. That's my favorite thing to make on the griddle for my family as well. I'm judging by your name and love of Rhingeist that you're definitely in Cincinnati lol. Ya I love all their stuff but I'm in Columbus. I can get it at pretty much all the stores up here which is great. Thanks for watching.
I recently bought my first griddle. It’s a 28” 2 burner. I’ve only had one chance to use it so far. I fixed bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs & biscuits. The bacon stuck, the sausage tried to stick. The biscuits burned on one side. The eggs turned out perfect.
Ya breakfast on a two burner can be difficult especially your first one. I would reccomend getting a small wire rack to lift the biscuits up slightly off the griddle. This will take longer to cook them but less of a chance of burning. Also even after my first seasoning of my griddle I still had things stick for the first few cooks. Eventually as you build your seasoning it will not stick as much.
I’ve used my two burner everyday for nearly thee years until we’ve had to stay with my mother in law for family health reasons. She has a four burner and I’ve really enjoyed the space. I can now have a warming space. Really enjoy your videos.
Love your channel. I have been binge watching your content. I just got a Steelmade griddle to put on my Weber 3 burner grill. Just dont have the space yet for a Blackstone 4 burner flat top. Love your personality. I nearly pissed myself with your Bob Ross video. Had to sub. Thanks man.
Hey Bryan, thanks so much I'm so glad that you like my stuff. And I'm happy you liked the Bob Ross tribute it was a little weird but that's my sense of humor. I've seen those steelmades they are nice alternative when you already have a gas grill. I really appreciate you watching buddy.
I think I mentioned this before. I have a Single Burner 17" Blackstone Adventure Series Griddle. My dad and I made a big breakfast one morning. But we used my gas grill too. Cooked the bacon and sausage on that. Took some of the grease catcher aluminum things that you put on the back of your Blackstone to catch grease and what-not. Put paper towels in them and put the finished breakfast meat in there. Then put them on the hot dog rack on the grill as a warmer. Then did the eggs, breakfast potatoes, and toast on the Griddle. Then we just took egg orders and served up each plate when their eggs were done. You have to have 2 people doing it. But it did the job. Just a suggestion for us single Burner Guys. Keep On Keepin' On!!!! 🔥 👊 😮😊
I have a camp chef pro60 with a double burner griddle top pulling double duty at home and when camping. Space is a premium for sure but it sure is amazing on that last morning of camp and I cook everything left in the cooler. Usually a mix of eggs, bacon, sausage, and hashbrown patties. Thanks for the videos Johnny. Keep em coming.
Thank you for this video. I never thought about using the oven. That's why I like your videos, you aren't pretentious. You are down to earth. Your videos are easy to follow and don't need some exotic ingredients. Your e-books are great. Your advice about the infrared thermometer is correct. I started cooking better after I started using it. I made apple turnovers on my griddle this past weekend. I had to have a thermometer to make them. Could you make a video on rubs and marinades for steak and chicken? I think that would be helpful. Thank you again for this video. It's been a big help. Going from a charcoal grill to a griddle has been a learning experience.
You're welcome I hope the video is helpful. Thanks so much for purchasing the ebook and always watching. I got a lot of videos to do but I'll try to squeeze in one about marinades.
I just got a 2 burner Blackstone this week. We are going camping here in southern Ohio this weekend. If we cook anything interesting on it I'll let you know!
I just visualized the perfect day... Go to Columbus and watch Johnny cook, then take him to a clippers game for a couple bears and listen to Johnny's take on life.
Thanks for using the 2 burner griddle. Thats what I use while camping, love the oven warmer idea but unfortunately I do not have an oven in my camper and we are usually cooking for 4 people. Lots of cold food gets eaten around my table☹️
I almost mentioned camping but totally forgot. My suggestion would be to buy the foil pans from the baking isle and try to utilize the fire if it's going at night. You can put whatever gets done first in a foil pan wrapped in foil the. Set in "near" the fire, not directly in it. You could also do the ze thing with a cast iron pan if you got one. It will never be as easy as the oven but it's worth trying. Or on the odd chance that you have a spare empty cooler you could always hold the food in the same foil pan in a cooler. People always think cold for coolers but it's works just as well holding food warm. Again neither of these ideas are as easy as an oven buth they're worth trying. Hope that helps.
Well, I tried this, minus the bacon and sausage on a two burner. Lets say it will take practice. By the way, my wife said "we should do this every Saturday " And my sons liked the pancakes. Three more fans of your channel!!!
Well I'm glad your son likes the pancakes and if you do it every Saturday then that will be plenty of practice lol. If youneed any more tips let me know, hopefully it goes better next time. And thanks for adding more fans of the channel!
Johnny always enjoy your cooks missed you I saw your in a condo now did you get divorced I ended the backyard griddle cook and made allot on mine from your cooks hope to see more
Thanks Gerard! No I didn't get divorced we've actually been on this condo for a few years now. We gotta move soon though because my son is getting bigger. Thanks so much for watching.
@@JohnnyBrunet Great to hear johnny i een it as a little cramp in there lol i always wished they had a bobby evans here we have all the others here in ny but none theirs alays like their breakfasts quality i get their in store sausages and wipped potatoes here in supermarkets hope to see more cooks
On my 2 Bruner Blackstone I just made your hash brown omelet, O Man is that a winner! But I do everything else you do but only cook for 2-3 people so not an issue for me. I would like to see you do some thin meats like flank steak (rare or med rare) as that is challenging to get right. Also 1” or less steaks for breakfast or whatever. Remember those Huge Costco all beef 1/4 pound dogs! I’m a fan, well you know!
Thanks for making all these great videos. I actually finally just got my first griddle about a couple weeks ago. I watched a bunch of your videos beforehand and thanks. They've been a huge help to somebody that has no clue what the hell they're doing. Everything I've cooked on it so far it's been great. Except for a couple of bratwurst that I definitely overcooked. Still working on the whole bratwurst cooking for the flat top.
Hi Frank congrats on the new griddle! I'm so glad my videos have been helpful. Sorry to hear about those brats. I recommend a little wore rack to use for warming while you cook. That way you can hold them warm while everything else finishes up.
@JohnnyBrunet thanks, I did the brats correctly this time around. I put them on last and paid closer attention to them. They came out great. I ordered a wire rack thing so just waiting on it to arrive. I like my griddle but I wish I had went for a better one. I bought this char-griller one and I'm doubting it will last long. And the ignition design is absolutely horrible. Thanks again for making the helpful content.
@@frankrizzoa1275 oh good I'm glad they turned out better the next time around. You never know maybe it will last it's just hard to tell because a lot of these companies are new to making griddles. If it doesn't last but you really enjoy it, I say just start planting the seed around Christmas time lol. Maybe talk your family into getting you another one.
@JohnnyBrunet I do enjoy it a lot. I have cooked on this thing pretty much every day since I've gotten it. I chose to get a cheaper entry level one because I've got no experience with these things. I didn't want to get a Blackstone or the best one out there and potentially mess the thing up or ruin it completely. One thing I definitely dislike about this Char-Griller one that I have is that the lid is like on a hinge so it's kind of just always in the damn way. Think I'm going to take it off. Thanks again man. And cheers from the Northeast
Just bought my first used Blackstone two burner this summer. Struggling with temp and getting a warming area on the small griddle. Wish it had a lower setting.
I love to cook sourdough, blueberry, buttermilk, pinyon, pancakes. Start the night before with the sponge and go from there in the morning. Basis was a King Arthur sourdough recipe and went from there. I don't think I'm done morphing this recipe.
Just subscribed to your channel recently and downloaded your cooking guide. You've really got some great stuff, man! I set the smoke alarm off in my house too many times using pans on the range, so I just picked up a 36" Blackstone to use outside. Using your video, I *think* I successfully seasoned it, but the edges never get above 350, so I guess it will just take time. Anyway, I'm looking forward to trying some recipes this weekend.
awesome man congrats on the new griddle and thanks so much for getting the e book. Ya the edges sometimes never fully get seasoned but it's totally fine you can cook on it. I hope your first cook goes well let me know if you have any questions I'm always happy to help.
Johnny i have the 2 burner Cuisinart 360 griddle. I've only had it for a few weeks, so im still getting use to it. Even on liw setting the temp gets fairly hot. Any recommendations on controlling the burners so the temperature doesn't get so hot?
Hey Troy. I would put the food down right when it gets to temp. So if you're looking for 375 then don't walk away for 20 min while it's preheating and let it shoot up to 450. Check the temp as it preheats and once it gets to 375 throw your food down. Also preheat on low if you aren't doing that already. And finally if it does get too hot don't be scared to squirt down some water to cool it down. I hope that helps, thanks for watching.
Newbie. Just bought a 4 burner Blackstone. Seasoned it , then proceeded to cook sausage pepper and onion sandwiches. My neighbors already hate me. Imma do bacon 🥓 and eggs tomorrow 😂😂😂😅
@@JohnnyBrunet the grandkids and I make Chinese food dinners every other month or so. They call it “Papa’s garage Chinese food”. Mainly because during the winter it’s raining here and we set up the griddles in the garage door way to keep it out of the rain.
A couple pinches of ridiculously priced, imported finishing salts with 24K gold leaf flakes, deflected off your elbow, so as not to bruise the fluffy eggs, would have made this breakfast really great! Maybe it was too windy.
Sorry Jay I didn't understand do you mean you will buy one or you won't? They're definitely fun and can get a lot done. But i do like the 4 burner better.
@@gosman949 Oh ya if you can make it fit and money isn't an issue. Definitely get a 4 burner. I'm not familiar with the halo. I'll have to research it.

Looks delicious!!!
Tha ks Conor.
Just bought my first used Blackstone two burner this summer. Struggling with temp and getting a warming area on the small griddle. Wish it had a lower setting.
Ya that's tricky Tom, they get so hot. I basically went over every trick I know in this video. Hopefully some of those help you out.
Nice video. I guess I'm in the middle because my Camp Chef is a three burner 475FTG. 🙂
I've never used a 475, do they still make those? How old is yours? Thanks for watching.
Now that's a Sunday breakfast
Thanks!
Awesome. Use a 2 burner alot my self.. doing Hash brown omelet. So far not doing to well folding it lol
The fold is always the hardest part Scotty. Whenever it breaks just call it a scr-omlet. Scrambled egg omelette lol.
I love to cook sourdough, blueberry, buttermilk, pinyon, pancakes. Start the night before with the sponge and go from there in the morning. Basis was a King Arthur sourdough recipe and went from there. I don't think I'm done morphing this recipe.
Those sound amazing Ed!! But also way out of my skill range lol. I bet once you perfect the recipe they will be amazing.
King 👑
Thank you Curt I really appreciate that.
Great job showing how to cook with limited space. Wouldn't work for me cause I like leftovers too much(and I'm lazy cook once eat three times).
I like leftovers too much as well Dale. That's why I'm always waiting until next week to start my diet 😁
My 2 burner halo has a built in warming rack no need for the over !
Oh nice!
I cooked my first meal on my 24 inch griddle which was pancakes and sausage
awesome!
Nice Hat!
Newbie. Just bought a 4 burner Blackstone. Seasoned it , then proceeded to cook sausage pepper and onion sandwiches. My neighbors already hate me. Imma do bacon 🥓 and eggs tomorrow 😂😂😂😅
Awesome Coop! Congratulations on the new griddle.
@@JohnnyBrunet did bacon 🥓 and French toast....my neighbors hate me now...🤣🤣🤣
22 inch is great for 2-4 people!
Ya it definitely is.
Help A Johnny out. Nice
😁
Thank you brother ! Need to upgrade to 4 burner … wish you had my farm made bacon 😊
You're welcome Jason! And I wish I had it too. I bet it's way better than the stuff at the store.
@@JohnnyBrunet I’m in northwestern pa... but if I ever get down your way... or you get close to Lake Erie... I will definitely hook you up 😌
@@jasondavis6438 sounds like a deal!
I have a 28" Blackstone, what size is yours??
I believe it's also 28". Not positive bc I got it used. I will have to measure it.
Request on how to do sausage links vs sausage patties
I can definitely do that Jason.
Potatoes peppers and onions
That's a good idea for the 2 burner randy. Thanks!
“I may or may have not dropped an egg on their earlier” - 🤣🤣🤣
😁😁😁
YUM 🥚🍳🥞
I use my 2 burner griddle for when it’s just my wife and I, the 4 burner griddle is for bigger jobs when the kids and grandkids come over.
Oh ya you gotta break out the 4 burner to make pancakes for the grandkids! Thanks so much for watching Ken.
@@JohnnyBrunet the grandkids and I make Chinese food dinners every other month or so. They call it “Papa’s garage Chinese food”. Mainly because during the winter it’s raining here and we set up the griddles in the garage door way to keep it out of the rain.
@@kenh3149 that's amazing Ken! I love the name "papa's garage Chinese food!". Sounds like you're a great grandpa.
A couple pinches of ridiculously priced, imported finishing salts with 24K gold leaf flakes, deflected off your elbow, so as not to bruise the fluffy eggs, would have made this breakfast really great!
Maybe it was too windy.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I know man the leaf flakes kill me when people do that.
I have a 4 burner griddle but 90% of the time I only use two burners.
Good day sir. If you run out of room on your 2 burner griddle...time for a 36 inch griddle, lol.👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣 True but then you end up with 3 griddles like me lol.
@@JohnnyBrunet what's wrong with that, lol.
@@brunoloiselle2710 depends who you ask. Me or my wife 😅
I've thought about getting a two burner griddle because of the lack of space, but after seeing this video, I no way will buy one!
Sorry Jay I didn't understand do you mean you will buy one or you won't? They're definitely fun and can get a lot done. But i do like the 4 burner better.
@@JohnnyBrunet I think the 4 burner will be for me. Looking at the new Halo!
@@gosman949 Oh ya if you can make it fit and money isn't an issue. Definitely get a 4 burner. I'm not familiar with the halo. I'll have to research it.
“Happy accidents” 🎨
😁
Hi. Im sorry but im looking for the pdf and i dont see it
Hey sorry I forgot to attach it. Here's a link to my ebook you can just have that the breakfast pdf is in there. drive.google.com/file/d/18K4p21xpuwHV8Y5bw7JkIDhHNtf8IOoH/view?usp=drivesdk
@@JohnnyBrunet HI. Huge thanks. This is awesome. If by any chance you can give me a smaller version I wojld highly appreciate it.

I’ve watched too many of your videos. I can now predict when you’re gonna say “ happy accidents”. I think sausage and peppers would be a good fit for a 2 burner.
Hahaha you know me too well.
“Shoulda got a deal on that one but I did not.” You’re hilarious. 😅
😁😁😁 thanks.
Secret to cooking on a smaller griddle is to cook less food. Got it.
That's not really what I said Scott. I reccomended using your oven to hold food hot and following the proper cooking order. Thanks so much for watching.
@@JohnnyBrunet It is what you showed though.
@@scottperson9487 I showed a breakfast for just 3 people and never used the word secret. But yes they are limited by the size you can only cook so much. This video was to help a subscriber with a two burner griddle show how I would make breakfast on mine. I was not claiming there were any secrets, hacks, or that it was just like cooking on a 4 burner. I'm sorry if that's the way you interpreted the video, that was not my intent. It's just breakfast on a 2 burner griddle.
