    i use a marathon micromotor and rotatory burs to cut metal. then i polish the bright cuts with tiny sanding paper disks. the final result is always very clean. i like the fact thet there are different ways and tools to do the same work.

    • @heinikendude
      @heinikendude  3 года назад +1

      Hi Vitto, I believe that your approach is also very practical. However you must agree with me that the shine of a hand pushed bright cut is amazing ;-)

    • @vittodx7510
      @vittodx7510 3 года назад

      @@heinikendude there is no other way to obtain that shine, i must admit. but i have to see the final polish with brushes (under a microscope) and see the differences between cutting burs and burins. but yes shine with burin > cutting burs.

      Hi Jacob,
      First of all thanks for the comment and sorry for replying so late.
      All gravers are 'Carbide' and hand sharpened.
      You can also re-use and re-cut old carbite tip bol burs from Bush or so...

    Are you not marking the center point of each stone? Looks like you only mark the margins of each stone and drill in between each mark, drifting the hole as you step up ball burr size

    • @heinikendude
      @heinikendude  5 лет назад

      Yes, you are correct. I drill in between to not lose the marks. If I drill on the marks I lose my 'reference points' ;-)

    s a beautiful ring. But when there's no hole drilled all the way through, how does one clean out behind those diamonds?

    • @heinikendude
      @heinikendude  3 года назад +1

      Hi Andijvie, je kan het best een oude carbide bolfrees gebruiken om daar een piramide van te slijpen. Deze gebruik im om de beading tools weer mooi hoogglans te polishen .

    I'm not trying to be hard on your work because the end result is pretty but look @22:51 and I can see 3 or 4 stones that are not sitting flush with the side of the ring. Which will cause them to rub the wedding ring cause it to scratch the gold of the opposing band or if the wedding ring also has diamonds on the side can cause scratching on both diamonds. Attention to the details is what makes a piece a masterpiece.
