I love stories featuring Oblivion. He’s like this big endgame boss who is like, “I’ll just outlive you. Keep going.” Good content man. Loved it.
I think he might the big bad in the current run of thor.
It's a long shot but comics have this trend of telling the same story in a new way.
I mean who is that powerful, " black winter". He seems to line up with the concept of Perpetua over at DC. Also Thor and Galactus are "working together " in cosmic setting again.

I’m convinced that Galactus’s purpose is being the protector of the universe. So many times he’s been the hero and prevented it’s destruction.
1 - galactus is incomplete, he was supposed to be the lifebringer but he hatched from his machine too early.
2 - galactus generates more energy than he consumes, he has been stated to be an essential part of the universe between eternity and death. it could be that he allows eternity to grow by destroying planets.
jesus mora yeah, the Eternity from Galan’s universe bonded with Galan to keep him alive. To keep time going. Eternity=time. Thus, allowing the new universe to be born. Otherwise, that universe would have blanked out of existence and there would be oblivion. “We” would have added to the space between universes where the Builders and Engineers cruise around.

It seems Oblivion is beyond the multiverse, like the multiverse is just one sphere in the vastness of Oblivion.
It's like a tiny bubble Oblivion can pop in any moment.
I agree, I ponder if he’s some sort of constant/element for the Omni verse. Which would put him above the one above all. Cuz he would be the end of all things for the Omni verse. Which as rob explained it one time would mean he’s the end of all possible realities. So Star Wars, Star Trek, Star ship troopers, final fantasy, marvel, dc, Rick and morty, South Park, our world; all would meet there end at the hands of oblivion. At least I speculate as much.

I think the reason why oblivion "dont want to" rush the destruction of everything is because then it would not be able to exist anymore, since it would not be anything in the multiverse to be destroyed.

Oblivion is all things that has ever lived or will live in the multiverse. All that power combined appears to be greater than perpetua, while she did create her multiverse she doesn’t appear to have that type of power. At least not yet.

I made you read this I still believe Oblivion can defeat her I’m saying that I originally confused eternity for Oblivion. My take on the fight still stands tho. Oblivion is the void which I am pretty sure is noticeably stronger than Perpetua.
@@staycool155 You're thinking of the Phoenix Force. Every universe, and each iteration of the multiverse has it's own Eternity which serves as the embodiment of it, with the current multiverse being in its 8th iteration. Oblivion is the Void of Non-Existence. There is only one incarnation of Oblivion, at least as the character is currently written. They stand apart from all forms of creation before, during and after the existence of time (itself an aspect of creation).

I think oblivion ties with ( W.P.O.T.C. - Phoenix, The living tribunal and The fulcrum)...maybe he's and most likely is even higher then those three but I dont think he honestly stronger than the ONE ABOVE ALL and here is why....I see oblivion as a "dark canvas" that the "One Above All" sprung all of creation in...and that canvas was given a form and will...and it realised that what it was sprung from within itself will be returned to itself.... and it seeks that because it is that will but I think at the end of the day I think oblivion knows that he will be never above the O.A.A. by any means otherwise he would be erased but like mistress DEATH he is a necessity...because without oblivion(without a canvas) nothing can be imaged or created or destroyed....anyways that's my idea/theory...otherwise If oblivion is above the one above all...then....why the hell does he call himself the one above all...😂😂😂😂

Couple things.
Unversal entity vs MultiVersal entity: The reason I can see Galactus holding his own is because the Multiversal Entities used things within that universe as weapons, like throwing planets. When the extent of their power is exercised only within the universe then they would be limited by the universe until they reached beyond it.
On Oblivion: Oblivion as a personified concept makes the entity self contradictory in that it feeds on or desires nothingness yet it’s own existence is something. Which indicates it needs a continued cycle of destruction to exist. There cannot be just nothing because if ever that became the case he’s liable to self destruct due to his nature. Existence is necessary as a survival initiative. So to feed his need without self destruction he must experience something becoming nothing becoming something in a continuous cycle.
No cycle no anything. He’s slave to his nature and himself.
Kenyon Martin not really because Oblivion is literally nothingness, so self destruction would literally be impossible
I'm curious to see a story or interaction between Oblivion and Phoenix force. If one represents the end of life while the other is the sum of all life their exchanges must be interesting

TOBA is far more powerful than Oblivion Al Ewing himself stated this on Twitter and TOBA in that dark future was stated to have killed every single cosmic abstract(including oblivion) and destroyed the 8th and 9th iteration of the Multiverses

Here's what I think... If a battle of that level occurs, the living tribunal would probably step in, and would reset the universe/multiverse to its last stable state. That doesn't help Oblivion. Instead, he probably wants smaller battles, ones that the living tribunal doesn't care about, so even if the battles are over, new ones break out before the people recover. It's like creating waves... instead of suddenly creating a big one, you can just create lots of small ones so that they resonate and the combined effect becomes a massive wave... well, that's how I see it anyway...
There is no real power rankings online. Even marvel's official site sucks. The CBR ranked Protege as first with the one above all as second. Oblivion was ranked as #12. So I know that site is unreliable. I need a legit site that has the true power rankings.

Pretty much. I remember the cosmic hierarchy being pretty well defined by the time of the original Infinity Gauntlet story. It was pretty clear where everyone stood. Now all of these preexisting entities are multiversal instead of galactic or universal levels, on top of a new entity on the multiversal plane being created every few months. It's been out of hand for awhile now.

DC has the same problem as well, I'm glad Al Ewing made TOBA a thing to show us reader's the ultimate evil in Marvel is the opposite of TOAA, Oblivion although a powerful abstract still serves in the confines of TOAA but TOBA does not.

I liked the comparison Rob made to Supernatural. Yet I do wonder: If Oblivion represents the death and rebirth of everything, does he decide whether or not not that rebirth actually occurs? If Oblivion decides he wants to break the cycle of destruction, rebirth, destruction, rebirth can Oblivion actually do so willingly? If he can't, then that would mean he has no free will of his own, and would be less powerful than the One-Above-All. Or does the One-Above-All only create everything because Oblivion allows it?

That would make a good "what if" story. Another version of Galactus creating a machine to eat an entire universe as opposed to planets. Unfortunately, he is now riddled with an even more insatiable hunger and must now invades other universes in order to consume them.
I believe if Galactus evolves pass world devourer and life giver, he would be able to eternally absorb and eternally give off energy. He would be a creator and taker of universes, equivalent to or higher than Eternity and Infinity.

I didn't get the part about getting ripped in no-time dimension. How getting jacked works is your cells take time to reproduce basically, and, if there is no time, you'd either age and everything would basically go as it should or you wouldn't neither age or get reppied.

I Dont know if no one realizes it but Oblivion is Kyle Ryner from DC Comics legendary Green Lantern comics.
He faced Silver Surfer. This event led to a gate way to a version of the DC universe and to the Marvel universe.
A character named Access was the harold of this Gateway...
Kyle was the only GL for a very long time.
He also seemed to:
1: use the power ring and strange ways never seen befor.
Or
2. Had a power all his own that we dont know of yet.
But as the GL series progressed Kyles darkside came into being as a sinister powerhouse known as Oblivion.
He reemerged several times through the years. Trust me when i tell you green lanterns power isnt to create darkseid versions of theyre sub concious.
Now i wonder if kyle may be a cosmic being hiding in the DC universe from the marvel books.
