The speedrun was fantastic🤩 and the first time playing these games i was playing for hours and the second game is so beautiful i love these games so much😄
Thank you :) The abilities at the beginning is based on a glitch called game storage. It's a frame perfect trick when you load the game which makes it just load a bunch of stuff by default. This entire category is full of glitches :)
Thanks! I haven't played this on the switch but I know a lot of stuff doesn't work. I doubt this would work. I think most people run any% selected restrictions on switch, which is basically glitchless
Thanks! :D well, it's hard to say. I've been speedrunning ori for about 4 years. I don't play a lot but I guess like an average of 5 to 10 hours per week. It's hard to count when you're having fun :)
Hey! That glitch is a bit precise, and uses the game storage glitch, which is a frame perfect trick. It's not the easiest thing, for sure. I'm sure myself or other speedrunners will be able to help you. I suggest you join the Ori speedrun community on discord: discord.gg/3AvBesDT Good luck!
@@radikaldesignz I see. Well that boulder trick works at a precise spot if you bash the boulder directly at a 90° angle (directly up) when if floats back up it just clips ori through that ceiling :D For the bash, we call it double bash. Basically if you bash a projectile or an enemy and then bash again 1 frame later it gives you an additional bash, making it possible to bash the projectile or enemies and ori in the same direction. It's crucial in this category to go to places you wouldn't be able otherwise. And also makes a lot of movement faster. But it's quite precise to do
@@radikaldesignz it is frame perfect but we are able to make it somewhat consistent by binding the bash key to scroll wheel. Honestly, without that bind it would be insane to do what I do in this run :D
There's a bunch of different parts to this skip. To have the ability menu open while having control of ori you need to press back and proceed at the same frame when the menu is open. By itself it doesn't bring any advantage. The advantage is that when an ability is leveled up the game saves at that spot. We use this to save after triggering cutscenes for example. In this case we're using it to save in the void. The way the void works in ori is that the game will respawn ori back to it's last save in a timer of 1 sec, meaning that you can travel during a maximum of 1 second in the void. So we travel in void, we save with the ability, we travel another second, we save again, and so on, until we're back in bounds, at Mount horu
Oh. I forgot one part, we also keep the menu open during the final escape, for 2 reasons. First, the EXP is at a precise amount so that we can level up by killing the fish at the water part, otherwise we would die since we don't have clean water; second, we use that ability point to skip a large chunk of the final cutscene by leveling up an ability at a precise moment

how many glitches will you exploit?
yes
Exactly. The number is yes
Well that's one way to get the achievement
Beautiful movement
Thanks!
Just...what? At first, how tf did u get all abilities from the beginning....and wth was that movement and thet final and...wow, I'm very impressed^^
Thank you :)

Hi there. 1st of all Awesome run. Wonder will this work on switch?

Man, that was good
Let me ask you, how much time did you spend to reach this epic level 😅?
Like seriously

insane
The glitch on unlocking skills at the beginning doesn’t work to me. I did make new save slot but it doesn’t put it on an effect. I need help.

Wow
Epic
Thanks! Appreciate it :)
Wait, how does that boulder clip work and... How does that bash trick work?
Can you be a bit more precise? :D
There are 2 clips using the boulder and many bash tricks :p
@@TRazielT oh, the boulder clip through the horizontal branch blocking the upward wind. And the bash trick where you carry the bashed object with you.

5:47 how does that work? Why do you have to have the menu constantly open? I can't move when the menu is up

Sorry for the long reply but it's not easy to make a short explanation :D I hope it's understandable at least ;)

@@TRazielT woooow, thank you for the explanation man, intereseting but completely out of my ability!
@@ale16horizon I used to think that also. All it takes is just the will to learn and some practice :)
Oh. It uses a glitch. I see.
The gategory is ''any%''.
Why don't you use crazy platform glitch?
ruclips.net/video/QUp71Md2pcc/видео.html - used in this run
You mean the final glitch? Well... you actually have to die to do that one and this category is onelife so you can't die :D
@@TRazielT Sorry, didn't know there is a separate category. Why did the platform go crazy? And how Ori got to the final location instantly?
