One more difference between the D7 and the D8 is the hard drive on the D8 has twice the storage as the D7. D7 has 32GB and the D8 has 64GB. I was lucky enough to get the D8 on sale and I've been very satisfied with it so far. The only limitation I've had is with my auto being an older car with limited computer systems. I also ordered a longer cord so I could use it under the hood which has been very useful.

Attention, in Mercedes W246, 176, 212, 204, 205 the equipment does not do EZS!!! Changing the counter settings works for a few seconds and then reads the old value from the EZS. Digiprog 3 does it better.
I've got 2 odb tools, I know the problem in the van, but I can't change or re config the sensor in this case, can I change parts and update them in the ecu with this tool?
Has its flaws...It bricked two TPMS modules on a 2013 civic.....The good, I did program a 2018 rogue Key and on a 2018 civic I did replace vin on a USED Ecu and was able to program the keys..
You were able to program keys with the D8? *I was just trying to connect device to my car and the dang this asks to connect to internet and update, even though it's already connected!
I just purchased an Xtool D8 and I am very disappointed. It will not reset the oil change on my 2011 Mercedes CL500. I also tried it on a 2006 S500L but it will not reset that either. The most BASIC of functions and it can't cope!

Yes it does. I have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan with the push to start and I will be programming 2 new key fobs when they arrive on Monday. I rand a bunch of reports and a full system scan on mine and everything so far seems to work great.
@@davesmith6128actually it does say which tpms sensor is bad, I've used it to diagnose and reset my sensors. Though it can depend on which car you're working on also. Not every car the same support for every feature

And Xl has daily free updates also after 3 years It's only $99 a year. Autel is only free uploads for 1 year. Then $750 to keep it going. Also the fees to join the data lines. Xl is a very good bidirectional tool for a great deal
The D8 I have has 2 more years of free updates. And this thing updates DAILY!!! Plus Xtool takes their customers serious. If there isn't something in the system that you want, within a week to 2week time they would send the update for you and everyone else that has their product.

In my mind, if you encounter many 2018+ Chryslers (jeep, Dodge, etc) you might want a USA serialed Autel. AutoAuth is $50/year. Or you can by the 12+8 bypass cable, but that can be a pain to dig in to get to the sgw module. If AutoAuth, warranty, tech are not an issue for an individual, I'd go with Amazon. If AutoAuth is a requirement in a tool, find a authorized dealer.

Yes, there is a kilometer adjustment feature, but it does not work in most modern American, Japanese, European, Korean, Chinese cars. There are tools that are cheaper than this device and practically beat it I regret buying it

I bought Xtool D8 and tried to use it on my Nissan Xtrail T31 2010. I have manually entered my VIN CODE unfortunately Nissan Xtrail T31 doesn’t exist when you click the region (Oceania) in the list of countries it only shows Albania, can you believe that absolute crock. I tried all the email addresses on the instructions for tech support and none of them were valid this is the main reason I sent it back. DON’T buy it for Xtrails.
It's a Chinese product, therefore they use to lowest grade lithium ion batteries. Like C or D grade batteries. So most importantly, which I didn't hear covered, when this thing no longer holds a charge, 2-3 years from now, how easy is it to replace it's battery?

*Time Well Wasted yes i said that* !! . tool does not stream line the fault code pids for what you wish to view there for you are forced to go throw pages and pages and pages of pids you dont want to find the pids you do want . not very efficient yous of my time .Having to look up more than one ERROR code becomes tedious and tiring in a garage setting .

Got mine last year when they first came out for about $840. I was mad that about 4 months later the D8 Bluetooth came out. Now they on 9. Lol. But I made that $840 back around 7× using the scanner.
My little cheap scan tool reads and works better than the 700 dollar scan tool. I have only got the 700 dollar one to work a few times and it’s rare anymore that it does. I have factory reset it and it still doesn’t really work

You can never change odometer reading with a legit scanner. It's coded into the modules. If not, everybody would be selling low mileage cars.

is for changing the diferential pressure sensor on a ford transit, and now I got problems with the temperature sensors

@@homesold I programmed some keys fine..2014 accord, 2013 civic, 2019 nissan rogue, all were succesfull. The D8 has a lot of bugs.
