tftcentral confirms this is a w-OLED panel. I corrected the infographic so my video is correct. These things happen.. (One time Samsung said the Neo G7 was HDMI 2.0 (I have a video on it lol)
And here I am a day after I picked up the Asus pg32ucdm. I was torn between the QD OLED and the WOLED and I'm just a fan of glossy. I get that QD gets some raised blacks. I'm still blown away with the QD panel and the color pop. One day we will have QD OLED with a polarizer.
Congrats man!! On the Asus!🎉 Ill get that in soon..
I’ve had the PG32UCDM for a month now and the LG 32GS95UE didn’t last more than 5 hours in my house.
How light does your room need to be before those blacks raise??
@@thepadster123 I play in a pitch dark room. The PG32UCDM is by far the best gaming monitor I’ve ever owned.
The Pg32ucdm you have is wayy better than this lg matte garbage. Enjoy it
could you do a side by side for the LG 27gs95qe w oled vs the MSI 271qrx qd oled in daytime conditions? Love your videos
Sure.. ill have a vs video of these 2 very soon.
1440p 480hz is what I'm waiting for lol
Yea.. 1080p looks off now that Im mostly at 4k. 1080p is ded to me. Lol
Ayyy first!
Another top vid Vik!
Thx man.. Have a great weekend! :)
Question: Did you use windows11 HDR calibration? If so how did you go about it. It clips at 600 but we know the monitor gets brighter than that. Did you set it at a brighter numbe or just go with 600 the monitor is reporting? Also for the black levels do you go all the way down to zero or stop once the picture disapears, which isn't all the way to zero? I'm reading what other people are doing or recommending and seeing conflicting info. Be nice to see what someone who has alot of experience with monitors thinks is the correct way to go about it. Thank you!
Hi, I have not tested with the win 11 tool. I believe there is a win 11 vesa hdr tool. The black stabilizer helps if black crush is seen a number of 60/65 should help but I do notice that fps mode preset has the brightest highlights out of all modes kinda weird. With monitors my neo g7 does not work in hdr correctly but my LG does. Still tinkering with it but I am happy and have it next to my 32GQ950.
The Windows 11 HDR calibration ruined it for me. I had to revert back on the display without the calibration.
2:01 you said the 32GS95UE let you down in SDR cus its not that bright, but isn't 260nits on a full screen white? just like 27gs95qe which is also around 260-270nits.
Or is 32GS95UE is not 260nits SDR? if not, can you share your findings?
it should be around 280nits. very similar to the QD-OLED panels, which to be honest should be just enough. You usually don't want to go over 200 in SDR unless you sit in a really bright room at daytime.
@@patrikmedia yeah cus i had 45gr95qe few months ago and default SDR settings is like 190nits or something full white screen. so i used service remote to hack into it and force up the nits to 230nits at all times and movies/content looked really good. So i cant imagine what 280nits will look like on OLED content haha
Does HDMI 2.1 support 4K-240Hz with 10 bit color and sub chroma 4:4:4?
is far as I know only dp 2.1 supports it
HDMI 2.1 and dp 1.4 use DCS
Still need dp2.1
FO32U2P (AMD freesync certified) has DP 2.1 but I see flickering using a 4090 on some game loading screens especially with a black background like AC Odyssey. I did not see any flickering on PG32UCDM (Nvidia Gsync certified).
You also have the upcoming Dough Spectrum Black 32" which will be GLOSSY with GLASS. Then again, it's Dough/Eve...
"Then again its dough..." lol thats the truth... Hopefully they will improve but its taking too long.
@@ViktorsReality I really hope they do, because this sounds like the dream monitor. Not only is it glossy, it's glass, the design looks great, and it even has DP 2.1; everything that is missing from the current model is on that model (at least from what the website describes).
Vicky or I’m watching this video over and over and from what I see here it states it’s QD-OLED not WOLED in the infographic please confirm because I heard you mention it’s woled the whole
Time
Its w-OLED. Its a marketing mistake. IThome was the source and it w-oled. Sometimes these things happen. But imagine if it were qd oled. Im sure one day. These are releasing very soon in china. The only mention was that specific qd oled name while when both were shown it says oled.
@@ViktorsReality thank you for the response just wanted to not be misinformed
@@305gangsta777 I got confirmation from tftcentral I am correct. Marketing misshap and another news report wccftech didnt read the actual source info.
Are they matte or gloss?
Matte probably..
PG32UCDM FTW!!!
It’s too dim compared to FO32U2P
@ceuser3555 I have to turn the brightness down to 70% to be comfortable. How many nits of brightness, do you need from a display that is 3ft away from you?
@@keyoske I have tried both monitors and I got disappointed with the Asus. I play AC Odyssey and RDR2.
Hey Vik😊
It shouldn’t have to be said, but don’t trust Chinese companies for anything that isn’t budget hardware. Warranty, QC, quality, etc will all be atrocious. Calling these companies shady is an insult to shadows.
That warranty for sure is #1 concern.
why show specs in chinese???
Because it’s a Chinese company. I would not touch this monitor with a pole that stretches the entire width of the observable universe.
480hz is unrealistic refresh rate to be honest at anything like 1080p or higher. I struggle to use a responsibly setup graphics and more than 250fps with a 4090. Unless I play a 2005 game and still be CPU limited by then. 240hz is perfect, 360hz is ridiculously enough.
I love seeing civ 5 in 480hz on my 4080... tho not in 1080p. I at least would like 1440p. Next yr im am sure..
CS, overwatch 2, valorant, siege etc are what 480+ is made for. Other than that, yes 240 is perfect.
