Angelina is a true musical genius in that she innately knows how a song must be sung to reveal all the emotions of the lyrics. This is very obvious to me in that she changed the emphasis of the phrase "It matters how this ends, 'Cause what if I never love again?' To "It matters how this ends, 'Cause what if I NEVER love again?". That emphasis and elongation of the word never totally sums up the import of the song.
It is interesting that you feel she doesn't need music to accompany her singing, as Chris Walker (BigAngieFan) has used his knowledge to isolate the vocals of several of Angelina's performances.
