Angelina is easily explained as the best young and most complete singer we can listen to today. When her record label, family and herself want it, they can just push the button. 15 years today, but what about a few years?
I'm sure Angelina will do great things for the world.
Let me say that for me, Adele is one of the greatest writers of sad love songs EVER! But I also believe that no one performs them as good as Angelina. And this is no exception. Angelina's performance of this song is simply STUNNING!! The feeling she is able to put into every word, and especially the crescendos, is just INCREDIBLE! And as usual, she leaves me in tears. Her tone is such a rare and beautiful thing. If you had never heard this before and it popped up on your radio, you would immediately know that it's Angelina---a very unique sound. Then when the tears started running down your cheeks, it would verify what you already knew---nobody sings a sad love song like Angelina. Great reaction Hap. And you couldn't be more correct---the ARTS will save the world. 💕💕

I told my daughter and granddaughter that Angelina has the ability to pull tears from my eyes when she sings, and she did it again with this song. I never heard Adele's version, and don't feel the need to listen to it after hearing this.

Angelina Jordan is the most spectacular music artist of the whole world nowadays, due to several factors. First of all, her voice which is unmatched, unbeatable ,melodic, mesmerizing, magnificent , majestic and full of soul, and jazzy and in second place , she is such a Humble person as it is up to now, getting to every body's heart ; ever since she was a child (an infant) has shown that the beauty of a person can be in her own attitude,taking as example her kindness toward another child by her age,where poverty was not an
insuperable wall to trespass to support and help another human been, that kind of dignity only can be find in a pure soul .
And Because of that
there are not many words to express the whole beauty she puts in her renditions, AJ is in a superior level ,above all of the other performers,no doubt about it. Thanks for the reaction.

@@AJfanboy1 Adele's version is brassy- Angelina's version is pure velvet. Don't be afraid to listen to Adele-nothing to be afraid of. I had to just due to my intellectual curiosity demanding it. LOL!
I was lukewarm to this performance the first time I listened to it yesterday. The second time I liked it better, now I don't know what I was thinking! I love it!

This is Angie in her native environment. Pure sound from her magnificent vocals and just a piano. No need for orchestral flare and mixing enhancements. No other artist in all my 79 years has affected me like Angelina Jordan.

Though she is so young she has done more than the best that came before in eight years and they had entire careers. None of them had the persona. This always brings tears to my eyes, she sings right in to my heart.
I really like using 'Angel Dust' to describe her style.
I feel the expertly articulated passion and emotional weight of each and every word and syllable that exits Angelina’s vocal chords. Each individual lyric carries with it the fullest expression of heart felt soulful passion and emotion that was intended to be attributed to it by the song writer. God’s angel, Angelina left nothing behind and no stone unturned in her masterful interpretation of the lyrics of this beautiful song. As far as I am concerned she is the most complete musical artist in existence. There is no one like her. She is in her own lane. I am so glad to be alive to witness her greatness.
When I hear Angelina sing this song I get the overwhelming sense that we are feeling God’s pure love channeling through Angelina’s vocal chords.

How many vocalists can you name who make you “feel” their vocals in your soul, reach in and grab your heart, and bring you to tears every time? How many vocalists can you name who aren’t just singing to the music, but rather their voice IS the music? That’s Angelina, with her wonderful melisma, vocal fry, vibrato, and jazz stylings. That’s why Angelina is at her best when accompanied by only one or two acoustic instruments. One of the pleasures of “watching” Angelina sing, is seeing her totally lost in and vibing to the music. It totally consumes her, and it takes us all with her to that “other world” she goes to when she sings.
For me, in the whole history of my listening to music since 1960, it would be only five. They are, from past to present, Elvis Presley, Karen Carpenter, Angelina Jordan, Amira Willighagen, and Lucy Thomas. That's it! Just those are the only ones who come to mind. There are dozens and dozens I like and enjoy, but those are the only five who pull the soul out of my heart, then the emotions out of my soul.

@@MdRobin-bv5gv , I was never a fan of Queen's music or lifestyle. I must say, however, that Angelina's renditions of their "Bohemian Rhapsody" and especially "The Show Must Go On" are utterly amazing and beautiful. As for Dimash, yes, I guess I would have to squeeze him in there and make my list a six count, although to me, he's mostly an amazing entertainer / vocalist rather than an emotion-puller. I appreciate his talent and stage presence tremendously!

I don’t think anyone can get AJ to sing crap. She is not «only» a singer, but a musician that just oozes integrity. Republic’s choices so far seem to imply a long term commitment building on what she has been doing over the last decade (she first recorded this song at home some four years ago). Besides, trying to turn a talent of Angelina’s calibre into a one hit wonder (or one trick pony) would be a horrible business decision. Handled well, she will have a hugely successful career over many decades. At fifteen, there is no rush whatsoever. As they said in the movie: Just build it, and they will come...

The analogy you used of the butterfly was used by Angelina in one of her Instagram posts. And there is no better way to describe how she has come into her own with her new original songs and of course this outstanding cover.
BTW, the cover was recorded in the same set up, probably the same day "Million Miles" studio video was filmed 😉
If someone can bring peace, bring people together, make us reflect on many everyday life issues, that person is Angelina.

Hey Hap, I've been trying to get Angelina together with Willie Nelson to do 'Crazy'. I thought that would be a perfect duet and it could be big for both. I agree to a point with you Hap. The problem is that people get factional even about artists. There is the group of people who will back Angelina as the best. Then there are the people who back, say, Morissette. Others will stand with Daneliya and say she is the best. Unfortunately humans have a hard time agreeing on anything. I will qualify my comments by saying my mother used to say I was a cynic by the time I was 4. So, maybe I'm not the person to comment on this topic. I would desperately love for what you say to be true, I just don't have the confidence in my fellow man as you might.
Angelina's effort here was sublime Was it classically rendered? Maybe not, but it was honest and heart-felt which to me is more important. That honesty is what makes us all tear up when she sings. She believes and so do we. I have already listened to this a dozen times and with each listen the depth of the vocal starts to appear and with each listen my ears let more information through so by the end of all the listens I was fully invested in Angelina's telling of the song.

I concur with you. If you and other stand firm, we can not fall into the harmful space such as bias and keep the fine line of music in tact without stating who is the best, and thus avoiding division. Let's go brother ✊🏽
