Alberta sees record breaking construction

Alberta is building more homes, with 3,122 new housing starts recorded in March 2024, 31 per cent of which were rental homes.
New data from the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) shows total housing starts in Alberta have reached 9,722 to date from January to March, 2024 - a significant rise from the 6,200 starts in the province over the same period in 2023.
