- Join Origins host Ray Heiple as he welcomes, Dr. Robert Carter for, “Races in the Bible.” There certainly are a lot of different looking people in the world today. Can we explain this using the Bible? The biblical account of Noah’s Flood and the Tower of Babel reveal how. Once people spread out into many small clans, everything was set for specific groups to begin developing their own unique features. In the end, there is no such thing as ‘race’ in science or in the Bible. All people are equal in God’s eyes and all of us need a Savior.

Look up a thing called the Punnett Square. Each parent has dominant and recessive characteristics. Male parent has dominant "A" and recessive "a" for each trait. Female parent also has dominant"A' and recessive "a". Their children have these possibilities "AA" "Aa" "aA" and "aa". Each with a 25% chance of coming up. For all intents and purposes "aA" and "Aa" are the same and will then make up 50% of the possible. Add the traits of the grandparents and more are possible with a lesser probability.

If I go to my local shopping mall, I will wind ethnically different people of many different types. Why is it so difficult to give the answer to this question without comparing everything to something in the Bible every other sentence. I wanted to know what the Bible said was the answer to how there are differences in appearance. I guess that it was too difficult to explain. This is religion at its best. This is why I won't go to any church. If I want to get preached at by some goody two shoes, I'll call my mother.

This info is wrong to some degree. In the Bible it reads about how “they” saw that humans were too unified so they races were separated. This was I believe after the visitors came in cloaks. Stuff like this makes you think… who the hell are “they”

In Mathew 15:24 Jesus is not talking about who is chosen and who is not. He was "testing" the faith of the Canaanite woman who had come to ask that a demon might be cast out from her daughter. He told her he was only sent to the children of Israel. She asked again, calling him Lord, and worshipping him. Again He feigned unwillingness to help, and said He could not give the bread of the children to her, the Canaanite dog. She responded by saying that even the dogs under the table can eat the crumbs that fall on the floor...Then He said woman, great is thy faith! and he healed her daughter. etc etc.
These texts are not about who are the chosen people.

Noah's descendants all changed due to 1: migration under the movement of people under each son and 2: the random confusion of languages.
