Interesting choice in opening day run. I've been monitoring the other resorts and none of the ones that opened already have opened any additional runs. I think Keystone's opening still appears to be one of the better ones although snowboarders are liking Eldora because the park is open. Either way, it is nice to see more resorts open even if the skiing is limited. Next weekend is going to be crazy.
Yeah it was fun either way! I went to eldora today and it was pretty impressive but I do think keystone still has the upper hand in terms of snow quality and amount of terrain.

Might be a good place to practice skiing backwards, I was doing a lot of ice skating backwards at the end of last season and a little skiing but the skiing feels so awkward.
I think you are camping on the famous Rollins Pass RR route. Prior to the Moffat Tunnel, this was the line trains took to the coal fields out in Craig, CO (Steamboat).

Eldora was pretty sick yesterday. Basically no lines and snow was pretty decent. Weather looking rough for most of the next few weeks though
