- Season 04, Episode 118 (day twenty eight): sup crew! papa joe and i went back up little cottonwood canyon to snowbird for some more early season skiing! we wanted to ski some vertical, so we went up to the bird to pound a couple tram laps! unfortunately, the day was cut short with high winds, but we still had a rippin day!

Congrats on the Pass, that's amazing! So happy that you and your dad can ski together so much. Our parents didn't ski, I'm the oldest and my brothers ski too. We have skied some but because a big age difference they have skied together more than I have been with them. But family ripping together is the best!

Man this makes me feel like an old man to say, but future you is gonna look back on that b-roll of your dad carving down the hill and just get allll the feels. Wish I had more stuff like that of my old man.
yeah dude. as i get older, i dont take it for granted and above all this other youtube crap, i have videos that i will be able to look back on forever which is the coolest part.

Even when your ski boots are comfortable and you've just had a great day of skiing and just when you think your day can't get any better, you take your boots off and experience a whole nother feeling of joy and relief and comfort 😂. We get rewarded with great views. Good times skiing and an awesome feeling when we take our boots off!

My son asked if I saw a guy in yellow on the bird's opening last Thursday. Then he showed me your video. (Just subscribed. ) I was there this day as well. Very, VERY well done vids! I was skiing vicariously with you guys while watching this. You're so lucky to ski with your Papa. I grew up here in a very dysfunctional family: I'm the only skier. Thankful my dad drove me and my buds up and down the Cottonwoods until we could finally drive! May our every ski day be better than expected...

Yep, definitely some good vert at the bird. What I never quite get is how some of these guys are getting 50k+ vert in a day. I have been people at Keystone and Mammoth and it amazes me.
i know. that is a crazy amount of vert. you really need to just be straight lining a groomer all day.

There is something that feels so great about cruising up to the tram or any lift and flashing your pass. What a bonus. Joe seems like he had a better first day with his boots than you did .. looks like like yours are good now? I wonder if, on days like this with long vert groomers, if Joe ever thinks about breaking out his old 207's. I know he has a pair in the garage somewhere .. 🙂.. Keystone today 8 runs 12,251 vert and only 21 degree slope so not as good. Snow felt like my home snow in PA too. Oh well it was a work trip so at least I got paid to learn not to come in early December l😂

i do not. i mostly color everything by hand although i do have some presets i use to speed stuff up now

Update on the knee still hurts like hell MCL not good I’m going trying skiing on it I’ll tape it for support. Time will tell might need a knee replacement

You keep talking about 3,000 foot of vertical… at Zermatt (and many other places it’s possible to ski over 2,000 vertical meters NON STOP! I hope one day you get to experience that 😊⛷️

@@LucasCatania17 One big problem with off piste skiing in Europe… AVALANCHES! You need to go with a guide nearly 100% of the time. A must place for you is Verbier… great freeriding with very little avalanche threat. Check out videos of Mont - Gelé 😊⛷️
