    Today is our first time checking off one of the top resorts in all of the country. Winter Park is home to some amazing family friendly terrain, but today we are going to knock off some of my favorite tree runs along the Mary Jane side of the resort. It is still early season conditions out here in Colorado, but with the help of a few storm surges coming in soon we may just have some snow for the holidays.
    Either way, so good to be back at Winter Park and Mary Jane for that matter. Hope you all have an amazing holiday weekend and enjoy it with loved ones.

      Nice Vid Cory, as usual!!! happy holidays to you as well!!! I see you got new skis... are they the QST 92's? want to try them out myself. I am not sure how well they will do here in the East under hard ice conditions, but it looks like you are enjoying them.

      @JJRodpro JJ! Always appreciate you tuning in and enjoying the videos. These are the salomon qst 106s. Love them so far! How is that East Coast riding treating you? Is there any snow coming through for the new years?

      Thanks Cory... Not having a great start of the season on this side of the country... I spend the first weekend of this month at Jay Peak and although the conditions where decent with plenty of trails open it was followed by a lot of rain and warmer than usual temps. Hoping that things turn out better for my trip to Stowe the weekend after next but already looking forward to my Utah trip at the end of January! so the 106 QST seems to work great for you in CO but I may have to stick with the 92's here.... keep up the good work with the Videos, they are looking real good!!!@@CoryGrasser

    Nice video on tree skiing. I'm OK with trees when its not crazy steep or giant holes between. Nice tip about the pole straps. I never wear them just incase anytime. Snow looked rather good too. Didn't look icy. Looking at going to Winter Park for my 3 day "Out West Trip" in February so good to see what is out there. Have fun and stay safe out in Utah!

      Hey! Welcome back as always! Was a great day out. Thanks for the feedback about the pole straps. Never know if others do that also. Hope you have some awesome conditions in February when you come out!

    A recommendation: I think it would be nice if at the begging of every run you put the run’s name in one of the corners of the screen. Only for a few seconds so the audience can know. If you’re skiing in the trees, as in the middle of this video, label one of the runs nearby, or the runs surrounding the tree area.
    Great video though! It was nice to see the ski conditions before heading out to WP next weekend! Thanks!

      Appreciate the recommendation, Sam. I always just thought it would be too much switching in between runs if I'm doing a mixup of different runs in one section of the video. Maybe I can on some parts of the videos, though when I'm warming up or spots that I talk in a run.

      Appreciate you, Chris! Didn't grow up skiing but definitely enjoy my time on the mountain. The skis are salomon qst 106 length 167. I'm 5 ft 7. Thanks again for watching! Hope you have an awesome rest of your week!

    A lot of hate for Montec and Dope Snow out there. What do you think of their gear having actually used it?

    • @CoryGrasser
      @CoryGrasser  6 месяцев назад +1

      To be honest, I really like all the montec gear I own. The jacket is great. The only thing is my hood likes to lean toward one side. Base layers are thicker than most, so they feel warm all day long. Pants are comfortable and adjust well. Everything has lasted, and I have no rips 50 days on the mountain with this kit. Plus, if you want to save money, you could buy an entire kit from montec and pay about as much as one jacket from the big companies. I'm not sponsored, but I finally dialed in my fit, and it's awesome! Hope this helps!

    Was just there for Christmas from the south i dont ski but we all went up to the lodge. One question why does everyone there drive subarus. I was told by a local its a monkey see monkey do thing?

    • @CoryGrasser
      @CoryGrasser  6 месяцев назад

      Honestly, I'm not sure. They really are reliable cars. Some people prefer these cars because not everyone wants a truck and something reliable with awd. I love my car, but something like a Toyota hybrid truck may be my next ride. Also, have an old tundra for summer camping trips. But basically, all subaru drivers have a few bolts loose.
