I’m so thankful for your videos and comments! You make everything look so easy and I love how you share what you’ve learned that works and does not work. I often learn by trial and error and I’ve loved following your ways of doing many things, but mainly how you pin nested seams to get a perfect result every time!!! That alone saves me a lot of ripping time😂. I’m so thankful!

Thank you so much for your videos. I would never have gotten this to my brain by just reading the directions. It is very helpful watching someone go through it first!

I love how the flying geese block turned out. So cute. Thank you for the thread link. Will have to purchase some and hope it works for me. I always have trouble with metallic threads.

Should the bulk in the fabric be removed before adding more geese?

I removed some of it but not all like a regular flying geese where you cut off the corner of the rectangle underneath. It didn't seem to matter for this project.

Great unintended tip on cutting to size from the backside! I have to say that I love these background quilting patterns but they seem to get lost in the busy prints…. Not sure I’m a fan of the fabric kit that goes with this project. No disrespect intended - maybe it looks better in person ….😻

Agree about the pattern disappearing on the fabric. From now on, I'll be using a contrasting thread so the cute background quilting designs can be seen. Someone in our FB group use an orange thread in the background quilting on the Quilt Shoppe block and it is adorable. Lesson learned.

Dear Fab Becky!!! I have a question? I am doing the Background Quilting also. I followed your video and laid the batting down first, however when I was all done, I realized perhaps I should have trimmed my batting right after the tack down before continuing because now the batting is in my 1/4" seam line. It appears you may not have trimmed either or did I miss that step? I think after placing the template on the batting, that's when I should have trimmed the batting. What are your thoughts and are there any remedies to fix this block now? Thanks so very much for everything! I could not have gotten where I am today without your help:) Have an awesome weekend💜

Yes, you're supposed to trim away the batting after the tackdown. I skipped that on a few of the blocks but made do. It didn't seem to matter.
