- Welcome to my FIRST episode!!
So I left PARLAY REVIVAL and decided to start my own RUclips channel! It's been on my mind to start a channel for years now. The timing finally feels right!
On this episode I introduce myself and begin the long trip from CANADA to MEXICO in Darryls Dinghy!
REMEMBER, This is not a channel about dinghy adventures.. This is a channel about sailing, adventure making "weird decision's".. and everything in between.
If you feel like you've seen this before, thats because Darryl has created a similar video on his channel. This is my version of it :) It just made sense to start my channel from when I felt Parlay.. and this is where I went.

Shaping up to some interesting storytelling. Something similar to a bloke Harry McGuire motoring around England in a small ribbed dinghy. One episode down, more to follow in a sketchy plan down America's and Mexico's Pacific coastline.

Dude, this is amazing. Have been following you since you were on Parlay, then loved your episodes with WEsail and I used to live in Victoria. Living vicariously through you for now but looking forward to resuming my own life of adventure in a couple years when the kid has launched.

Best wishes on your journey, I have logged over 20,000 hours on small craft and I wouldn’t hesitate to make your journey again, which I have done twice, starting from Oregon. One observation I noticed your vessel was loaded pretty heavy and you loaded a lot of fuel. The entire west coast has fuel available at every port, you only need to have full tanks when you cross into Mexico where low octane fuel is common. I would advise you to have some octane booster for your outboard. Water in Mexico is generally not drinkable , even the bottled Mexican water, so try to plan enough water to get you past the southern boarder and keep an eye out for bandits which is a real possibility.
Hey mate. We briefly talk about fuel consumption in the next episode.. she's pretty thirsty. Yes, maybe because we are a bit overloaded
@@WhatInTheWorld_Tom A smaller prop would be something to consider, more power and less stress on your motor and most likely better fuel economy.

Congrats on the new adventure . Been long time Parlay stalker . I just bought a 53ft Norman Cross Trimaran (QLD Australia), 1st the refit though, and i know zip about sailing other than wind surfing 25 years ago . LoL
If you end up in QLD then i could be a leg of your journey . HAHA
Will be the only Tri with a full on engineering workshop on it too . 🤔
