  • This LabRat video discusses how the Continuity Equation and Bernoulli's Principle are applied to the concept of lift generation. The video outlines the basic physics, shows the derivation of some applicable equations, and provides some simple experiments that support the theories addressed. This information is geared towards the advanced high school physics student and early university students. More information can be found at www.labratscientific.com.

This the best explanation I have ever seen on this subject! Excellent work!

It is one of the best explanation on the subject, I am a mechanical engineer and an aeronautical engineer plus MBA,with 40 years of experience in MNC ‘S in automaticcontrol systems for crude petroleum refineries, including top American co. I really love your knowledge and your wish to to share your knowledge. You are great, really.Congratulations to you.

10:41 what if you put 2 opening of small area in the size of large opening area? Will augment the trust, in this case will increse the range of water fall?

18:03 and after 18:17 i dont understund this contradiction. At least to me.
So i have to add airflow under or above foil/wing to make lift?

Your initial numbers don't compute. If the 20 psi is from twice the mass and the 20 is gauge pressure, the internal absolute pressure should be double. Per PV=nrT, if n doubles then P should double. Therefore, the 20psi gauge is 40 psi absolute. Sea level is only around 14.7, not 20. Do you have that much error?
