I pre-ordered this and Cities. I have been following it based on interviews with Jackie for some time. Wonder if Jackies next game will be about being a Jeopardy Champion?
First off, 1977 being the best year in the history of humanity objectively speaking, I'm naturally attracted by this game. Secondly, I'm so fond of the theme that more often than not I wished I was Norvegian instead of French, since you have bands like Circus Maximus, Leprous, Ark, Jørn, Pagan's Mind etc... And we have nothing except Gojira (who played for the Olympics opening ceremony^^) Well, as for the rest, I'm not so sure about the gameplay but I feel I have to have this game and try it with friends with sensibility to the theme as well - that's the hard part, not that many gamer nerds also go to metal concerts every now and then !!!
Well, there are exceptions. Besides my job (I work in a psychiatrie), Hardrock and Metal and having fun making music and socializing with other musicians or music lovers is my life. And boardgames. So, I'm looking forward playing this. Pre-ordered it in my boardgameshop 🤘🤘
As an old guy who was a teenage boy when The Runaways came out, I'm really looking forward to trying this game, and I'm so happy you listened to the band when playing the game, I'll definitely be doing that, too.
@@BoardGamingRamblings Update: I got to play and learn the game a few weeks ago with Jackie teaching it, which was awesome, and have played it once more since and really like it (I'm currently making my own Spotify playlist which is taking me back to my high school days during this exact time period). I never complain about randomness or luck because my brain isn't good with strategy on its own, and if I really like the theme of a game, I can often overlook issues that other gamers may have. Might be playing it again this weekend and will decide then if I'm going to pick up my own copy. Your video was a great explanation with good insight and opinions.
Excellent review!! I have it at a 6/10 for me. It's a good, above average game where the theme sells it. However, there are just other games that I feel that do it better. An expansion will hopefully improve some of that randmoness issue.
Glad you enjoyed the review! That makes us happy! 😁 The theme is so good here, and I love it to bits. As noted, a few things are more random than I personally like them, but I also know people who wouldn’t mind what so ever. We are just very randomness averse 😂
My friend made this game, so if anything negative you have to say will be DMed to her so she knows how much you disliked it /j Hope you enjoy many hours!!!
It’s so cool to have a person come from this super cool background, and then turn it into a game! I also love the fact that Jackie is a gamer. It’s not just some «this sounds fun to do» thing, it is clearly a passion project! 🤩
love the amp player boards with knobs that go up to 11 - always better than 10
11 is the best number!

Hope you’ll have fun with both of them! 🤩

Hope you’ll have fun with it! The theme really shines with this one!

It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll.
Been waiting for my copy from GameNerdz the day the pre-orders dropped!
Hope you’ll love it 🥳

@@heyheyjk-la Thank you for sharing your experience with the game. So fun to hear you had Jackie teaching it to you!
Thanks for the review! I love heavy euros like you guys, so I feel like I might not be playing this game too much as well.
Glad we could be of help 😁
I'm a BGG and a singer in a hardrockband. Yep, this game is for me 👍👍🤘🤘
Sounds like it will absolutely be for you then! Hope you’ll love it 🤩

@@BoardGamingRamblings Same for me 😂😂 … can’t wait for the next review!!
Very informative review. The theme really speaks to me but I am afraid it is not my kind of game. Thanks!
Glad to be of help! 😁 The theme is my absolute favorite part of the game!
I was one of those in line by 7.30am to get a copy at Gen Con 😅
Hope you did get one? 😅 Have you played it yet? I hope you enjoyed it! 😁
thanks for the review - good as always! It seems like a cool theme, but not for me most likely.
Glad you enjoyed it, and that it was helpful! Thank you for the kind words 😁
