Am I the only Blackwing fan that hasn't seen GM release any marketing regarding this Precision Package?! I don't understand why GM doesn't make advertisements highlighting their best cars
I believed it's really a niche market for the Precision Package. I test drove a 2024 CT5VB at Laguna Seca during the Motul Course, it was smooth on the track, but on the backroads, same backroads I drove a Honda Oddyssey to the track, it was less rough then the Honda, but I can still feel some of the bumps. With 70% stiffer springs, control arms, etc..., you will feel every bumps and cracks on the road. I feel it's a niche market is because the Precision Package only comes with the carbon ceremic brakes, talking to the guys on the Blackwing forum, they all like the disc brakes for track use because it's a lot less expensive to maintained, but the ceremic do give you better performance, at a cost. I think the majority, including myself, will ordered the CT5VB without the Precision Pakcage for everyday driving, but no doubt, there are a few hardcore buyers that will take the CT5VB Precision Package on the track every weekend and for the rest of the week, parked in the garage.

A CT5-V Blackwing "1LE" is the best thing that they could've done. The regular cars 'lightswitch' handling is why I prefer the CT4-V Blackwing. The new Precision Package now makes that decision tougher.

If not a manual...then you lose the spirit of having an ICE V8. Although manuals are slower shifting and slower than the 10 speed. The driving experience is a more cohesive force directed at the driver. Automatics in your ICE cars are smooth and responsive...but these same traits can be mimicked in EVs with artificial engine noise emitting from the entertainment system. It's almost impossible to create the same feeling of a dedicated manual transmission paired with a V8 in an EV. If I was to drop 100,000$+ then the manual is the way to go.
Yeah, they best it with an ugly stick and gave it sad raccoon eyes. The previous model year had that Iron Man look in the front. They totally boned the front end.
LOL. The LT4 is at it's limit? Many ZL1, Z06 and CTS-V owners would disagree. A simple pulley swap and tune would yield more power. But they have to make a "reliable" engine. It will be great to see what it does at the next Lightning Lap and see how much these improvements did for it.
I think believe that couldnt get more power for emissions standards. I just believe the hogher ups said no cause the cost of the ZR1. FOR one the supercharger is small. Just give it the 2.65 liter one thats on the C7 ZR1 AND THERES MORE POWER. Secondlt GM released a cold air intake that gave Corvettes a slight bump in power. This car has that same corvette engine. Theres a increase right there. But hey still the best supersedan out
There's an interview where the project leader of CT5V-BW said why they didn't use the C7 ZR-1 engine... Doesn't fit. They would need to make the front so tall that we would be barely able to see. So they optioned for that engine. But no fear... Let's pray for a update with C8 ZR-1 Engine... Why not a 1068hp super sedan?
In my opinion the only miss by GM and Cadillac on this car, is something to significantly differentiate this package from the standard Blackwing such as a better wheel and wider tire package and hood scoop. (Actually, every Blackwing deserves a hood scoop) The car is otherwise brilliant. Chevy got this right with the Camaro ZL1 and 1le.
