Exclusive: A Day With Casper The White Lion And Satara Lion Pride At A Zebra Kill

- A day with Casper the White Lion and his brothers, Casanova and Footloose, as well as the complete Satara Lion Pride and the grown-up cubs, Junior, Tara, and Princess, offspring of Casper and his Shishangaan brothers'. Sadly, Mfowethu was not present. He's been sick lately, and his whereabouts remain unknown. We hope he is still alive and will shortly be joining his brothers to protect their territory and the Satara Lion Pride against any encroaching males within their territory around Satara in Kruger National Park.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
- When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
- If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
- The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
- Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
- Never go off the designated roads
- Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
- Don’t hoot or blare loud music
- Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
- During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
- Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
- Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

Thanks. I am real worried about those 'seven male lions' getting ready to go to War against Casper and his brothers over the Satara Lion Pride, Lionesses. I am praying with many others, that Casper takes his 'cubs' and going into hiding till the lethal dangers pass. It's always good to see the Shish brothers and the Satara pride. Looks like the boys got the lion's share of that zebra. Equally good to see the three remaining cubs doing well. I wonder what happened to the subadult male? I'm saddened by the news of Mfowethu being ill and not being seen. I will pray for good news in the near future and his return to a healthy state. Mfowethu is the leader of this coalition, and his absence will be felt.

What a fascinating series of interactions! The females’ communal bone gnawing near the end was particularly interesting. Maybe that’s when they commiserate about getting the scraps. The protection of multiple males might be valuable, but it must take a lot of females and a lot of work to keep those bellies full.
Yup., luv Casper and his brothers but most of their cubs survive. If I was one of Satara ladies, I would hide my yam yams and let them hunt on their own, they are big boys and 4 of them. They can do it

5 lionesses and 3 youngsters? I only counted 7 of them. Also they had a tiny cub. So many one lioness was not here with the cub. Very happy to see the 3 youngsters. Also a little worried not seeing Zorro here.

So Mfowethu was sighted last on Nov 29th? In that video he looks a bit wet by fine, albeit walking alone and roar-contact calling his brothers. Did someone see him looking sick after that video was taken? So hope the brothers find him and help him asap.

They won't interfere with "nature" unless they get hurt by something humans caused, traps, something they did caused them harm indirectly, they let nature take its course, because if we were not there, it would happen. Sad and I get upset but I get it

Casper and his brothers are the pride males of this Satara pride and the Nsemeni pride. Ideally they patrol and scent mark and roar (and likely get into fights with intruders more often than humans know., especially in Kruger) which keeps other males away. They also took over Nsemeni pride (I wonder if it was during the time that they were maring with Nsemeni pride that Satara lionesywere left for prolonged time unprotected and thus lost their other cubs). I imagine they take turns patrolling and protecting both territories which is not easy. If another coalition comes, if they smell or hear 4 strong experienced lions they will scatter or move elsewhere but if another coalition with more numbers and confidence comes in, Casper and brothers will either fight them or abandon them. They certainly must be doing something right because they kept this territory for a while now although I am disappointed they don’t have more surviving kids. Very much hope Mfowethu shows up and they all outlive the sun itself
This owner of this video channel is very informative, knowledgeable, and caring, one of few channels I trust (his channel not just for views, this person visits and views them purely because he cares to be in nature and to see how all are doing and shares videos with meaningful and informative descriptions. Tintswalo virtual safari etc… makes few excellent footages but post them late and it is for supplemental advertisement for their lodges; Mapogos is great in showing short videos s/he gets from guides but Mapogo Lions does not indicate when they were taken, re posts old footage often making it look like something happened recently while it is an old footage, breaks up one footage in pieces and reposts them on different days as shorter ones but that way gets more views, montage some of them, and gives (i hope unintentionally) misleading titles, that is how S8’s one time injury which occurred on September 8 or 9th and started healing by September 12., who no one knows how he got it got not only blown uncontrollably out of proportion but spread rumors it is RED ROAD, then Kruger male, then buffalo etc….next thing he is poisoned andcthey use those rumors and turn them into multiple fights with lions and hunting accidents over time when in fact it was one event the caused injury and the injury healed up fast and would not if he had bTB. S8 was so effective in protecting his territory until his last days as evident immediately after he is gone lions and prides he kept constantly out and were not seen there before and if only rarely ( including BDs) started slowly trickling in his territories, even Kambulas and Nhurus. S8 would not have been able to do that if he had bTB.
@@luvmyaussie9561 yeah I do like this channel very much and I do agree with you they do care I thought it was a female it doesn't matter I have left several several comments because I like their work and while as far as S8 I've left many comments yeah things probably were blown out of proportion but I would have a book to tell not knowing if it would be true or not so I guess I will keep it to myself I do know for sure that the l lioness from talamante got snared and it seems like they already have a lot of things going on with them from the past so my opinion if she will not have got snared and supposedly all the talamati were running in all different directions looking for their mom and auntie so then you have the missing one then they have a carcass that's found and then you have S8 that shows up in horrible conditions but a few days he was roaring Mark senting patrolling then he's gone and now you have 3 subadults that whats left of them csuse they have lost so much weight and the lioness can't even hunt I don't want drama I just want the truth but that's not going to be happening cuz you never get the truth so I just know that if the lioness would not have got snared things would have definitely taken a different turn I hope they're doing fine the talamati pride they have a special place in my 💔 heart and if S8 was poison as you see things would have definitely taken a different turn again I said I would not talk about it I just couldn't hold back I don't know what the situation is over there for sure I think they should take nature a little more serious a and restrictor rules a lot stronger with snareing poisoning absolutely no trophy hunting it should be against the law that's not a sport that's murder they should have more respect for their wild animals nature lions are in instinct and they're just adding to make it even worse this is more of a government thing and politics in South Africa and I'm just going to stop right now and say no more I just care for wildlife and I wish that there was something that I could do more have a nice day and yes this is a very very respectful nice channel and there is channels out there that are respectful not many but there is have a nice day and sorry about the long text I feel alot better
