Looks like you are below the Dam at the Whittier Boat Ramp prob your best bet is get along the Dam where the water flow is coming down Fish there an i use to put the Bass Boat in on the top side there motor up to 70-71 Split past where the Railroad Trestle is there use to be a Dam there i would slay em using Spinnerbaits early there till about 9 am when the Sun would get to high , the Feesh would herd the Minnows up that way an gorge themselves
@@markskeens8646 that spot doesn’t sound familiar…. But I would probably not fish the dam. Never been a fan of fishing dams or spillways. Just too much of a “fish in a barrel” situation. I enjoy finding the fish walking the creek instead of sitting on a dam. But I agree they definitely hold a lot of fish!
I have to go fishing with you sometime. Live in Lima and mostly fish the reservoirs here in town. Pretty good fishing, Perch, Walleye in Bresler and Saugeye in the rest with some darn nice Channel Catfish. And of course, Smallmouth, Largemouth and sunfish, along with drum. I'm just starting to explore the rivers around here after watching your videos. The Ottawa is kind of blah (pollution from the refinery in town and the 5 low head dams in the city), but the Auglaize is pretty nice. I did catch a few small Brown Trout on the Mad River a month ago, nothing over 12 inches. Sometimes floating a worm down the Mad is the best way to catch trout.
I had a heck of a day winning a tournament against the scrubs in the Napra wading league on the Mad river last year!!! Good Smallies on those bridges!!!!
Love creek fishing!! Can find some trophies in there for sure. That 2lber you lost had nice colors on it too. Great video Matt, just subbed as well!! 👍🎣
